The Cafe is located right on a corner. It is a small shop inside with some tables. It is a local favorite. One of the things it is known for is the sandwiches. They are big and good. 16" long and good. It's the type of cafe where you walk to the desk, order, and pay. You pick a table and wait for your order. The staff was friendly. They had a big smile. I liked what I ordered. The meatball sandwich was great. I enjoyed it.

Loved visiting this place! I'm sure it's a pretty touristy area, but the service made me feel like a regular. Really nice people working here. Food was delicious, would definitely slam the meatball sub again!

This is a small place in North End where all the Italian restaurants are. The service and food were great! We had salads with chicken, meatballs and garlic bread. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend it if you are visiting that area

One of my local favorites! You can never go wrong here. The portions are huge and the food is delicious. I've eaten here before (it's a small area, but does have a lot of seating) but normally I get it as take out. The cafe itself is super casual, it's the perfect place to pop into during lunch or after a walk. My food is always ready on time which is nice, and when I've eaten there I'm usually able to find a seat. The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I've also gotten the eggplant parm before, and the fettuccini Alfredo. Both were also delicious. I've never had any of the sandwiches, but if they are anything like their pastas then I'm sure they are great! The bang for your buck here is also great which is nice. Highly recommend! Dinos is awesome! And the staff is very kind too (Note that the pic is taken from a train, I like to treat myself to Dino's before catching the Amtrak)

Cannot recall the last time I saw something for the single digits on the menu anywhere in Boston, much less in the north end! Also, and most importantly, the food was great. Baked gnocchi is a must-have. The fresh basil on top of everything was a nice flavorful touch. Generous cheese, generous portions, and quick and personable service. The pumpkin with cheese cream sauce pasta is also phenomenal. The garlic bread with cheese also was enough to have multiple slices each for a party of 4!

I don't live in Boston, but whenever I go there, I have to go to Dino's. It's my favorite place in Boston and the North End, and my favorite sub place ever. I always get the Eggplant Parmesan Hot Sub, and it never fails. I always recommend this place to people visiting Boston. The space is super small. There are like 5 tables (if that) inside, but if the weather is warm, they have some tables outside. The place is clearly run by the family, and the service shows it in the way they care and help their customers. You can never go wrong with Dino's.

What surprise was this small but mighty place to enjoy lunch or dinner at. It is a cozy place but the super flavor, affordable and customer attention made up the entire experience one that came back the second day for late lunch I loved to find places of the path and the none of social media aka trending thing. I definitely will try again when in the North End Boston.

Casual atmosphere with delicious Italian food options; pastas and hot sandwiches. 4 of us split three pasta dishes and some garlic bread. We had the lobster ravioli, spinich ravioli, and fettuccine alfredo. All was great. We will definitely be back!

Small but welcoming, loved the East Coast vibe. The owner made space for our group of 5 and took good care of us. The menu offers a wide variety of options to choose from. We ordered the baked gnocchi along with a few different sandwiches, and everything was delicious. The sandwiches could have used a bit more meat, but overall it was a great spot for lunch.

Fresh simplistic Italian food. The old school Italian guys were awesome to witness. The baked ziti was somehow light and so fresh. My husband's chicken Alfredo was to die for. I think I may have offended the guys that I couldn't eat more of my food. There was just so much to try and I really wasn't even hungry going in but wouldn't pass it up.

Came here on a Saturday evening and it was busy! Luckily we got a table but after we arrived, there were definitely people waiting outside for seating. We sat down and ordered quickly, and the service was FAST and friendly. They recognized our friends as regulars which was nice! Drinks are self serve so you can walk up to the fridges and take what you want - they will add the drinks to the bill at the end. Italian's Italian ($18) - the sandwiches here are HUGE. And there were reviews saying they were skinny but ours was both long and fat. The meats and veggies went perfectly together with oil and just the right amount of fat and heat. I'd absolutely get this sandwich or any of their other sandwiches again - it was so filling and delicious! Capellini Pomodoro ($19.95) - I wasn't as big of a fan of this one - the pasta was pretty normal and the sauce did have some nice herbs in it, but it felt a bit one dimensional to me. It's probably a lot better with a meatball or another topping, but $19.95 for pasta and red sauce was already a pretty steep price. I'd recommend getting another sandwich if you're a two person party because those are really worth it. There's also no bathroom in the restaurant, but the sandwiches are such a great deal I'd absolutely recommend coming here or getting a sandwich to go!

Steak Bellino with Cheese Hot Sandwich
    Alaina M.

Wow at the size of these sandwiches! We believe they're known for the Steak Bellino so had to try that. Perfectly cooked with perfectly melted cheese. The chicken pesto also had perfectly melted cheese and lots of pesto. Incredibly long grinders, not the widest but still solid bang for your buck! Maybe 12-15 or so seats to sit inside but we mostly do takeout here. A classic North End that I hope never goes out of business!

They don't offer table service; it's mainly a takeout spot with just a few tables around. I don't think I'll be going back ever.

oh. em. gee. best pasta i've ever had in my life…read more i was looking online for an italian restaurant and this came up multiple times. first off, the interior is gorgeous, plush green seats and antique style. we ordered their special items of the night: lobster risotto and the vodka veal. genuinely the best risotto i've ever had. the people online were not lying when they said their vodka rigatoni was the best. it was indeed very very delicious. even though all of us were full from the pasta, we still had to get tiramisu. it was a perfect way to end the meal. our server was great and attentive, thank you for a wonderful meal.

My guess is that this is more of an evening destination where people come for cocktails and the atmosphere rather than lunch. We ordered a Diet Coke, the Scampi appetizer, Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The scampi was easily the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, cooked well, and made for a nice appetizer to start things off. Unfortunately, the pastas didn't quite meet expectations, especially considering the price. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was $28, but the pasta wasn't cooked al dente and felt overdone. The Carbonara, also $28, was disappointing as the eggs had curdled and the dish ended up being much oilier than I expected. At $18, the scampi was enjoyable, but overall I don't think the food justified the price point. One bright spot was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind, checked in on us frequently, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very aesthetic design. I can definitely see why it's popular on social media. There is also outdoor seating, which I imagine would be a nice option on a warm summer evening. One thing I did notice, though, is how closely the tables are spaced together. Since the restaurant was mostly empty during our visit it wasn't an issue, but I could see it feeling crowded and fairly loud once the dining room fills up. I was honestly surprised by the meal because Gigi is part of the Mazi Restaurant Group, and I've really enjoyed some of their other concepts, especially Kava Neo-Taverna. Based on this experience, though, I think there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Boston that offer better food and better value for the same price. Overall, I'd give Gigi 3/5 stars. The service and atmosphere were both strong, but the food didn't live up to the pricing. If I came back, it would probably be for drinks, appetizers, and the ambiance rather than a full Italian dinner.

The antipasto dish arrived very quickly and was a beautiful layout. Of course I desired to save some room for the entree but ended up eating about 3/4 of the appetiser before it arrived. The chicken marsala was absolutely perfect, still steaming on the plate as she placed it before me. I told myself I would only eat half the dish and take the rest back to my hotel for snacking later.
