I would rather not order at the counter, but I can't give stars off for that since it's just the type of place this happens to be. Ordered a large pizza. Saw a segment on food Network saying how good they were with lots of cheese. Wasn't anything like it was pictured on television! Pizza was burnt, vegetables we're dry, had no taste what so ever. Just not what I expected from a pizza place. We ended up throwing the pizza away due to being so burnt on the outside and on the inside we ordered from Domino's got a fresh one in 30 minutes I was completely satisfied. I have driven passed this place for more years than I want to remember. Today, I finally decided to try it. My wife was off from work today so we went early to avoid the lunch crush. We arrived at 11:30 and had the place to ourselves. After walking in the doors we weren't sure if we were supposed to sit down at a table or place our order at the counter. The guy working the counter was not very welcoming. We told him it was our first time there and he seemed very annoyed at our being there. I almost left because I felt like I wasn't supposed to be there or something. I was happy to see they had pizza by the slice because I wanted to try a few things and didn't want to order a whole pizza. They had cheese, pepperoni and a third pizza. I asked the guy what the 3rd pie was and he point to a sign that said specials and said its on there..... wow how rude.. Anyway, we ordered a slice of cheese, pepperoni, a meatball sub and the Buena Vista Salad. The pizza slices where huge! each slice was about the size of 2 regular slices. They were very good. The dough was some of the best I had in California. The Buena Vista salad was very good too. I just wish it was served in a larger bowl already mixed, or at least have the option to order that way. But non-the-less a very good salad. The meatball sub was a little disappointing. The meatballs themselves were tasty but the sauce tasted like raw crushed tomatoes straight out of the can. Overall, it's definitely worth another visit. I'm sure if someone with better service skills was working the counter my initial reaction would not have been what it was. I love Dino's. I'm sad that I didn't start eating there sooner! The pizzas are pretty good, my absolute favorite is the lasagna pizza which has huge chunks of ricotta on top. The way we improve upon it is to add pepperoni. Winner! The other favorite is the pastrami pizza. It sounds weird, but it is Oh-So-Good. I'd also highly recommend any of their salads. The ingredients are local/fresh and the dressings are good. Well worth the money they charge. Of the sandwiches, the best one is the pastrami. It could give any place that is a pastrami joint a run for their money. It's lean and the bread is toasted and it's downright delicious. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is: the service and the dining in experience isn't that great (especially in the summer). The help is a bunch of teenagers and often, they don't have the best attitudes. I placed an order on the phone and was ready to throttle the person on the other end because she sounded so freakin' snotty and unhelpful. Just had Dino's last night. I've only lived in Burbank since late 2008, but I think it's the best pizza Burbank has to offer. I heard Bella Vista's is pretty good too. Dino's make a regular crust which is thin enough. You won't need to order a thin crust. They have thin if you want it. They make a very good pie with very fresh toppings. But the key to their pizza is the sauce and crust. It's a very good and yummy crust which is just crunchy enough. And the sauce.....uuuuummmm, very good. I'm pretty sure it's scratch cuz you cant buy a taste a like that. Prices are good and they deliver. We had an XL (I think it's 16"), w/ pepperoni (it's the kind that gets all crispy), sausage (excellent), onions and mushrooms.....$23.00 bucks w/ delivery.....(tip not included.......I took care of the brother.....don't worry!)!!! Not bad I think! I've eaten there and actually like eating their dinning area. It's not fancy....it's like eating in a covered patio.You can tell that at one time this area was added to the rest of the building. They have beer on tap and it's very cold! Bonus!!! The dining room can get pretty warm sometimes but it's ok........ I recommend picking up your self if you don't mind.........sometimes the delivery can take about an hour when they're busy. So disappointed.... came all the way out here based on yelp reviews. First the place looks dumpy...but we looked past it and ordered anyways. We have ordered from here two times now (for delivery) and both times we have had bad luck. Last night, the girl taking the order on the phone was completely rude, and she hung up before I could finish my order/ verify my address, I had to call back and give it to her! I ordered on a Thursday night at 9pm-ish and it took an hour to get my pizza and salad! When it finally came, the box was so soggy on the bottom it was bending, and the same goes for the pizza..ugh. I came here just the other day for the first time with a friend who highly recommended the artichoke sandwich (artichoke hearts, Roma tomatoes & homemade pesto mayonnaise with provolone - served on a sub roll). We don't mind driving slightly out of our way for Dino's! It's a neighborhood staple that has a great family/old school atmosphere. There are no frills - you order your pie then have a seat. Service is friendly and it always feels cozy. Dino's has definitely made the top 5 list of my favorite pizza places! My husband and I always share a large pizza - half sausage half pepperoni. The meat and cheese are plentiful and the flavor is all there! I'm drooling just thinking about our next visit :) read more

Best pizza in LA. I know that's a bold statement.......but for me it's true. I've eaten at a lot of pizzeria's in Los Angeles, and so far, Dino's has the best pizza. My first test of a great pizzeria is smell. When I first walked into Dino's, right off the bat I knew the pizza would be in my top 5 best pizza's. The cheese and sauce have a good flavor. But the crust is where it's at. A bit soft on the inside, but nice and crispy on the outside. The pizza even holds its own for breakfast served cold. I regularly order the "Dino's Special" w/out onions. I also hear that their salad's are really good. Although I cannot confirm that myself, since i haven't had one yet. read more

After waiting for a waiter for 15 minutes, I discovered you have to order at the front! I blame my own stupidity and our extremely bad host. In the meantime, one of my family members gave me some of his jalapeno knots, which were pretty good. They're just a tad too spicy for my taste but they were enjoyable nevertheless. My nephew and my pizza arrived. The only complaint I have about it was it was suppose to be half Hawaiian and half boring. Well, they didn't cut the pizza right so one of my slices was half Hawaiian and half boring. Man, the boring was hard to digest. However, that's just how the child likes it. You'll notice they have a lot of people working all the time, that's because they make the pie's quickly, and you won't have to wait long. I grew up on Dino's and I love it! Snobby pizza eaters will be turned off by the look of the place but if you can get past that, you'll LOVE the pizza! They even offer popcorn while you wait for your food. Amazing salads, rare and nostalgic sodas, & a very nice beer selection. It can be a bit loud in the dining room with the occasional rude group or crying brats, I do wish the staff would work harder on keeping the inconsiderate people in check. Counter/deliver staff are an eccentric bunch filled with sarcasm and humor...sometimes the staff might come off as short/rude but if I had too deal with some of the idiots that come in there, I'd be rude too. You can watch them make your pizza by hand. Overall, it's a great staff, AWESOME food, and fair prices. It's a Burbank institution. Go in for lunch and try a slice. They're HUGE. I went their for the first time tonight and though I didn't completely love the food, I'm eager to go back and try things differently. One thing learned, stay away from the chicken. I can't stand the taste of thigh meat (even their contracted "Tyson") and it really tainted the flavor of every bite of BBQ Chicken pizza and Pesto Chicken pizza. The Seven-Layer pizza was good and hands down my favorite of the three I sampled tonight. The fresh tomatoes and jalapenos (and lack of chicken) made it stand out. Burbank's hidden gem. This is a pizza lover's wonderland! I've passed by so many times over years and never paid attention to it, until someone told me to try their pizza. Good food is really hard to find in Burbank. I usually have to settle on a chain restaurant for food when I'm in the area. There's really not that many options except for your typical chain restaurants such as Elephant Bar, BJs, Denny's, Gordon Bierch, Hooters, etc. Pretty solid pizza with great quality ingredients. This just might be the best place to grab a pizza in Burbank and the only place with the most options for pizza in Los Angeles... 37 pizzas to choose from! I've also never seen a restaurant with such a large variety of gourmet bottled sodas in stock. For someone like me who isn't too picky with ingredients and flavors, I usually depend on the restaurant employees to ask for recommendations since I usually can't make a decision with many items to choose from on any menu. I went out my way to eat here because I was told that the pizzas here are very delicious. Tonight, I had a craving for pizza while at Costco and I didn't want to settle for their pizza. Sprecher Root Beer from Glendale, Wisconsin - Out of all the varieties of root beer, this one was rated #1 root beer by the NY Times on the label *I loved the velvety feel. vanilla, and honey sweetness of this root beer in my mouth. Definitely a top notch root beer! I especially loved that the greens for the salads are local from farms in Ventura County and I also loved the wide array of gourmet bottled sodas they have to choose from. The crust on the pizza is among the best I've had in Los Angeles. They also have a plethora of pizzas to choose from. The dough is the best in the Valley, and the topping choices are diverse to say the least. I'm partial to their "Meat Lover's Pizza". Came here for a work lunch the other week and was honestly overwhelmed at all the pizza possibilities! My group ordered about six or seven different pizzas and they were all just so delicious; I left Dino's feeling absolutely stuffed. They are so mean it has literally made me and my friends not want to go in, not want to call or anything like that, simply so we don't have to deal with them. I always make my boyfriend order or ask for anything (god forbid you want a side of ranch..) because I'm just too scared to go up to them because I really don't like dealing with rude people.. They hang up on you a lot when you try to call for delivery... I was ordering from a friends house for a group of people they asked me the cross streets, and I said "oh hold on just a minute please" and was about to ask my friends, and they hung up about a second later.. One time in particular that started this whole fear of talking to them was when my boyfriend and I ordered a pizza and two drinks.. and I know some places don't allow you to split the bill on two credit cards if the total on each card is less than 10 dollars.. so I asked her politely if it was okay to split it on different cards.. she literally PAUSED for a little bit, looked at me like I was stupid, and said "uh, yeah." I know it's hard to understand how completely unnecessary and rude it was by just reading but trust me, it's one of those things you had to be there.. my boyfriend said to me afterwords, "what the hell was that about??" Pizza seems to be subjective. I find this pizza to be mediocre, but not a big deal it's not like gourmet or anything, it's just . It's ok for the times when I cross the street from the car wash to eat it. The real crime here is the customer service. It's not amusingly bad, the people who take your order seem to have a lot of contempt for you as you order. I tolerated it for several years, because like I said, I'll eat a slice here while I wait for my car to be washed. Today though was like an alternate universe in customer service. I found a living fly inside the parmesean cheese dispenser (disgustingly after i had already used it on a pizza slice i ate) and i flagged down an employee (tall dude with hat working here for years) he grabbed it out of my hand and walked away. No eye contact, nothing. I didn't even get to explain the fly was in the jar. I don't understand why the employees are so contemptuous of the customers but I can't in good faith come back here. read more

Dino's Pizza is the best pizza in the Burbank/N.Hollywood area. The crust is not thin, but not thick, and it has the right amount chew. The sauce is delicious. Their pizza can be a little greasy, but when you put a pizza topped with sausage and pepperoni in the oven it's going to do that - and quite frankly, I like it like that. The pizza is a little pricey, but it's quality and size justify it (a small pizza fees two adults). I've only ordered pick up so I can't comment on the dine-in service, but the cashiers have always been very nice. Pro-tip: order the ricotta cheese as one of the toppings and you'll thank me. This is, hands down, by far the BEST pizza I've had in Los Angeles. While still not as good as the pizza from my hometown, it is DAMN close. The sauce wasn't too sweet or overly spiced, there wasn't too little of it, yet not too much. The cheese was just right (nice that there is a selection, too) and the toppings were ample. There are many possibilities for your pizza so what floats one person's boat may very well not float another's. I've lived in NoHo all my life but never came here. A friend was in town and he was hungry so I decided to stop missing out so we ordered one of the specialty pizzas. Though I can't really remember the name of it, the pizza was great overall. No over abundance of sauce, fairly crispy crust, and not to mention very tasty, too! Everything on it worked really well, even the raw green peppers; which I'm normally not a fan of. The atmosphere was... Unaltered from what it originally was/has been for what I'm guessing has been since their opening. Which isn't a bad but also isn't a good thing for me. After much deliberation, some friends and I from work stopped in this afternoon to try a pie. We went with an extra-large 'meat lovers;' split between three of us it ran about six dollars each. Not a terrible price for a decent, sizable pie. The two girls behind the counter seemed nice enough and customer service was par for the course but nothing exceptional. There's a plethora of personalized head shots along the wall and some generic kitschy artwork throughout the dining area, which would probably seat ~20 people. I can only speak for the pizza but I hear the pies are the best item on their menu. It wasn't bad but it didn't blow me away, the outer crust was my favorite part, it was crunchy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The pizza wasn't rigid so it was great for folding in two but the marinara seemed a little too tangy for my taste. Nice fresh ingredients put this above Domino's though it comes at a noticeably higher price. read more
