    Dion's special!
    Carlos O.

Dion's is a staple in New Mexico, this place is locally owned and operated and in my opinion is a must try if you are traveling through Albuquerque. I have never had a bad experience with them and the food is always fresh and always delicious. Anything you order will be good, but the pizza is killer!

I didn't realize how much I loved Dion's moved to Atlanta 10 years ago. I miss having a go to place for quality pizza, subs and salads. Dions does everything right. I want everything when I go! Their salad dressing are famous and in so happy they are sold by the bottle so I can take back to GA with me. I compare all other ranch dressings to theirs. "Is it as good as Dion's?". Some of my favorites is their pizza with pepperoni and green chile, turkey sub and turkey salad. It is a must on my list when I'm back home. Open one in ATL please!!

This location used to have great food but has gone downhill within the last few months. Today we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a turkey sub. Our pizza had a layer of oil on the top and my sub sandwich was far from what I expected. It was completely missing lettuce and just looked so unappealing. I gave 3 stars, instead of 2 because of the staff, which has always been pleasant and friendly in my experience- something that is not very common these days so I can appreciate that.

Been eating at Dion since it was a one-man shop on Montgomery. In the 1970s. Always excellent quality control. So imagine my surprise when today I had to pick brown lettuce out of my full turkey salad. Come on folks, don't let it slip.

Okay? Can anyone else see this mountain of cheese and chicken right in the middle of an old slice of pizza...... Lol.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

What was even better was the taste of both the Gyro and the feta fries. As you can see from the photo the Gyro was stuffed full of meat and other goodies while the feta fries were plentiful and all covered with sauce and seasonings. Absolutely delicious. I can't comment on the ambience because I got delivery, as usual. But the delivery went smoothly, and as stated above, the presentation of the food was stellar. I also had a second order from them about six weeks later that I ordered with several friends. Again, the food's presentation was appealing, and the food was great. My friends also indicated that their salad and Mediterranean sampler were delicious. I will definitely be ordering from them again, and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you do the same.
