I am a fan of Dions, but last night, this location had issues. It seemed like they were completely unprepared for the dinner rush. The line was double wide, and stayed backed up to the front doors for most of our visit. Behind the counter, there was a clear shortage of employees. Dion's? Alright I guess. Pizza's pretty ok. Cheese tends to slide off, not particularly impressive flavor-wise, but not bad at all. The inside tends to be a bit of a mess, tables aren't terribly clean, but the price is very reasonable for what you get. read more

I love the food here! It's close to my home so I usually call in the orders for take out. Today o had to drop in & wait for my order. I was extremely taken aback when all I could hear was goofing off in the kitchen loud howls & constant personal interaction. It took a few moments before someone came to take my order. I decided to enjoy my lemonade in a booth while I waited. The tables are dirty, the air is freezing & incredibly uncomfortable. All the while the joking & loud chats are going on in the back. I understand it's great to have fun while working but it's so loud. While skating in the booth I'm noticing the kitchen door open & close as the employees walk in & out. Certainly not to clean up tables or the floor. As the kitchen door opens I can clearly see aprons thrown on the floor & debris lying around. It's obvious this restaurant isn't being monitored by an onsite manager. This Dion's used to be our favorite one. We have ate there three times in the last month. Twice I ordered a sub and my husband ordered pizza. Both times I had to ask about our order half an hour after it was placed. Both times they were waiting on my husband's slices and my sandwich had sat for long enough to be totally cold. The first time it happened the manager made it right. Tonight a different manager drug his feet getting a warm sandwich made for me. He admitted it had sat for a long time waiting on pizza. I had to ask twice after the remake to even get my sandwich. The just don't seem to care at this Dion's. read more

This visit was pretty bad. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and a couple of subs. I ordered a pastrami with cheese and mustard only. It came out with lettuce on it. I reminded them that I didn't want lettuce. They said they would fix it. Well come to find out 'fixing' it meant picking off the lettuce. When they called us back to get the 'fixed' sandwich there was still lettuce stuck in the melted cheese making it pretty obvious what they had done. Kinda gross. By the time they had actually remade the sandwich the rest of my group had finished their lunch. I got a box and took it home but Dions subs are never good later. Sad times. Seems like the quality and service have been on a decline. They did offer to send a gift card to buy the family a meal, haven't seen it yet and if it does come it will make the perfect regift for Christmas. I'm in no hurry to go back. read more

I live pretty close to a Dion's and cannot think how many times I have eaten there. My favorite pizza is the Duke City (no tomato sauce, turkey, green chile & cheese) it is excellent. We will on occasion get their regular pizzas - pepperoni and green chile is very good, but if it was just me eating then the Duke City would win out every time. Of their salads I would say the Ranch and Gourmet Chicken are probably my two favorites. The ranch is iceberg, pastrami, cheese, croutons, cucumber, onion and bell peppers; the gourmet chicken is spring greens, chicken, pecans, blue cheese and tomatoes. Their sub/sando's are pretty good - the Italian is my favorite, but I would recommend you hold the mayo - the sandwich doesn't need it and you will save a bunch of calories. Everything is made fresh and so you may have to wait a few minutes to get your food; if you are doing take out I would recommend that you call ahead. read more

What can I really say about Dions it's a New Mexico staple for traditional pizza. I typically order the ham and pineapple without cheese and extra sauce and this time they didn't disappoint. Also I ordered their new crunchy spinach salad which is so delicious. I also ordered a lemonade which is typically some of the best lemonades I've had though this night it want the best. Of course you really can't go wrong with Dions and this location is staffed with friendly and knowledgable staff, definitely a great place to go if your not wanting anything overtly exciting or out of the ordinary. read more

I love the cheese toast that Dion's serves. It goes great with a salad. My only problem is that it is offered as a 2 piece or an 8 piece. Why not offer a 4 piece? Please consider adding a 4 piece cheese toast to your menu. read more

There is no beating Dion's - they're sandwiches and salads are also great. I love their ranch and greek dressings! However, it's always teenagers and college kids who make the food, so every now and then there may be a problem with your food - over or undercooked, or wrong toppings, etc. just let them know and they'll make it fresh and right very quickly. New location. Same slow service. Same boring pizza. The sandwiches and salads are ok, but the pizza is as slow and boring as the classic AOR streaming out of the former Applebee's speaker system. I was hoping to find a local ABQ pizza parlor that would have some rockin' pizza. Mad locals told me that Dion's had some kick-ass pizza and that it's the best in town. So when I went there, I was expecting some great pizza. Boy was I disappointed. My wife and I had a Chicken Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, the best part of our meal was the salad. Oh-em-gee, Dion's! First off, the pizza here is legit. Nothing extraordinary, but nothing short of a great pizza establishment. We ordered a medium green chile, sausage, and mushroom pizza as well as a full size cobb salad. Everything, even the ranch was delicious to the last bite. I would take more bites but I was literally pizza full to the point I was glowing...I'm sure you know what I mean! This particular location is close to the area I frequent in Albuquerque and the young folks up front were super friendly and helpful. Our takeout order was ready in about 20 minutes. love dions, food is amazing. although i do have a rant to go on about a manager. trey (unknown last name) has been transferred from store 15 of dions to store 6. that transfer was because he was accused of sexual harassment from many of his coworkers, almost all of them being underaged. he was thought out to be picking favorites and trying to get a little too close to them, specifically girls. when it comes to sexual harassment i don't think that should be tolerated in a restaurant especially if he was manager. even if he was accused of it why still put him in that position to another store where it could potentially happen again. why risk it. this is all on cooperate. rehiring him when they knew that he was fired from store 15 for assault. i am a women and when it comes to men not getting any sort or punishment for that, its a huge deal. it could've traumatized these workers that went through that, my own sister got fired for something not even as bad as that. it goes to show how unfair equality for women is compared to men. i hope that somebody reading this takes into acknowledgement how terrible this was and that it shouldn't be tolerated. he should be fired from all dions cooperations. read more

I am a fan of Dion's like most New Mexicans. Unfortunately they have gotten my last five orders over the months incorrect. I don't understand how you can mess up an order this bad. It's not that difficult. My salads always have missing items and the pizza toppings are wrong. Extra items I order are almost always not included in my order despite being charged. I usually place the order online and have a family member pick it up, so they are unaware of the original order and can not verify it is correct. My last two salads had water at the bottom of the container and I couldn't even bring myself to eat them. I have given up on this place. read more

I was not satisfied with my order at all. I had ordered a sub with chips. The bread was soggy, you could tell that the lettuce was old, and the chips were slightly soggy and stale. I was very unpleased with my meal. read more

I think one of the best Dions in town (and trust me I've tried them all) Orders are always correct with their onine ordering system. They always check the orders when I get there, and have never encountered an unhappy employee. They seem to really love ther job! Will continue to use this Dions as ofter as possible. read more

Love this place, only wish it had a drivethru. Took my Mom here for lunch while she was visiting from Maine during Balloon Fiesta. Dion's was one of 5 establishments I took her to during her visit, so you know I think pretty highly of them. Their salads are fantastic in my opinion. I eat a Dions ceaser salad about once a week. While I was on vacation they started adding kale to it. It was the most discussing thing I was ever served ( and I traveled in China). For the newbies and visitors, Dions is the default pizza place of Albuquerque. It's one of the most sought after/desirable workplaces by high school students in the city. They originally opened a long time ago as a Greek restaurant but realized they'd have more success selling pizza. They still sell this amazing signature Greek dressing that they also serve on the side of subs -which are also so amazing (also probably have a scary amount of sodium). Their pizzas are appropriately greasy and have a solid sauce to cheese to crust ratio. But at the end of the day, this review isn't even about pizza. It feels wrong to eat one dollar sign pizza anywhere else in Albuquerque. read more

This is the most overrated pizza joint in albuquerque. It's cheap but it kinda tasted that way. I wish they would just offer a better, premium sauce for even more money. Love Dion's food normally; however, this particular one burned the pizza so that it tasted like cardboard. Their tables are pretty gross, too. They appear relatively clean to the naked eye, but if the light hits them right, you can see how they really are dirty. I thought my table was clean enough to eat there, but after observing the light hit the other tables just right, I took a paper towel and ran it over my "clean" table and it came up black! I asked them to clean my table again, and they barely ran a wet rag over it. No elbow grease, nor did they wipe the entire table-mostly just the center.
