This sweet spot was a delightful surprise. Hidden away in a "strip mall" is this warm and inviting, classy, quiet and elegant restaurant. The service was excellent, with just enough attention to feel taken care of, and not too much so we felt rushed (I hate that). I felt like the servers were invested in us having a wonderful experience. And we did! We ordered the vegetable empanadas, which we spectacular! The crust was perfectly crispy and flaky. Some of the best empanadas I've ever tasted. For our entree, we shared the Japanese A5 Wagyu. The server seared it table-side on some crispy, buttery brioche. We had the poblano mashed potatoes on the side...wow! I was not expecting the flavor bomb that happened in my mouth! So delicious!!! For beverages- I had the Emerald Embers, a tequila-forward, citrusy, Serrano chili sparkle beverage that made me hum; my partner had the most delightful Santorini served and poured table-side in a porthole infuser. Gorgeous! The place is spendy though, so only on special occasions for us. We had a marvelous time!

Walking In you get an elegant feel to it. Good for a date night with your girls or man. Food was mid for the price it's at. Nothing special. I got the steak plate and was a bit too salty. Our server kept checking on us so no complaints.

Beautifully decorated with top-notch service and an impressive cocktail menu. I had to try a few espresso martinis, and they did not disappoint. The pork shank was the standout: perfectly crispy on the outside with tender, fall-off-the-bone meat inside. Definitely the kind of dish you come back for. The shrimp was also excellent--plump and sautéed just right in a rich butter sauce. It's on the pricier side, but after another $20 cocktail, you probably won't mind as much

I've been here a couple times. Each time was a good experience. The place is nice with a good vibe. The customer service is great too. The last time we had the coco risotto (salmon) and the crispy pork shank. Both were amazing. The ambiance inside is semi dark. The music is a. It on the loud side but not too much. Birthday celebration dinner! We had reservations for a Friday evening, however, there was plenty of seating available. This establishments embodies an exuberant atmosphere perfect for a memorable dining experience. Stunning decor, featuring chandeliers and stylish furnishings. A five star restaurant in Downey, CA. A five star restaurant experience with great customer service and delicious food! They have rooms and spaces for private dining parties. We had guacamole and chips, shrimp ceviche, a burrito and fajita trio- with chicken/shrimp and steak. Good taste and seasoning. Beautiful black restrooms and nice art throughout the space. This place is really large. We also had margaritas. Great staff, respectful staff, such as Jose and Stella. Warning, a bit pricey, but worth it. We are returning soon.

My cousin took me here for my birthday and I had a great experience! We had food from the happy hour menu and it was delicious! I had the shrimp tacos with chips and guacamole. If you are looking for a local community that is busting and has a vibrant Latin culture representation, come to the city of Downey! And Diosa is a relatively new restaurant to the area. It provides fusion of Mexican and American cuisines with flare and sophistication. Diosa means goddess, if you ever wonder like I did, LOL! . So welcome to the dinning hall of the palace of the goddess! Came here with my coworkers and we had a blast! Loved the margaritas! And the appetizers were amazing which surpassed all the entrees that we had in my humble opinion. Great plating and presentations! Highly recommend the following: DIOSA CHUNKY GUAC Street Corn Chip and salsa Empanadas Ahi Tuna tower- just heavenly! And please at least watch other people ordering the Churros dessert, they really put on a show for you with fire! Our servers were attentive despite our big group. The place is huge! Great for family/group dining. Nicely decorated. Check out their happy hour menu to see which drink or dish you enjoy and come back for dinner later. And don't forget to stop by Porto's, the Cuban bakery, which is located across the street from Diosa, to pick up some freshly baked pastries to complete your trip!

Top notch service from start to finish! The drinks were delicious and the food was beyond amazing! We ordered the Shrimp taquito appetizer, which did not disappoint. The dishes are served really well so sharable is such a great idea. Our group ordered the Tomahawk and shrimp which was phenomenal! The Coco Risotto Salmon, delicious! I originally picked this place because it is woman owned, and I love supporting that, and the setting looked cute! Some spots of the restaurant could use more lighting (leading to the bathroom), but it's nicely decorated. The menu isn't vast, but the dishes are on point! I had the mole and the chicken was so tender and juicy! The salsa from the chips has a little kick to it; just ask for some limes. Their cocktails are beautifully crafted and really yummy. Price point is a little high, but it's definitely a treat! Great place for dinner on a date night. If you get there before 6, self parking is no problem. After 6:30 it becomes impossible to find a spot and you have to pay for valet. read more

First time visit. Drinks only, no food (but all looks/sounds good) Drinks were unique but tasty. I had Fridas Garden, tastes like a matcha tea with a little punch of gin, very refreshing. Rose Gold was very tropical but a total mess with glitter exploding everywhere, we asked for a "normal cup" to pour it in. Lastly, we shared Santorini. The presentation does it justice, it tastes just as good as it looks. Will definitely be going back again and possibly try some food this time. read more

Firstly, service is bad. Nobody was at the host stand to seat us. Food is okay and comes out fast, but gave me and a few members in my party an upset stomach. We are attending a convention and it's been messing with us all morning. It had to be one of the appetizers since that is what we had shared. Either one of the empanadas or crudos. Waiter wasnt very attentive and didn't do a great job at clearing our dirty table. Wouldn't recommend. read more

This place has amazing decor, from the entrance, the patio, the bar, the restroom, I mean talk about attention to detail. We were there to celebrate my birthday and I was welcomed with a special menu, personalized with my name. Super cute!! We were seated at as booth and our server was super friendly. Since it was our first be time she made recommendations to try. The menu seems to be majority drinks, and they are extravagant and unique. We had the street corn which was surprisingly good and had a good spicy kick. The pollo mole was a good portion, tortillas were 3 small Taco tortillas and 3 small flour. The rice had an amazing flavor, very unique, the mole negro was heavier on the flavor. Chilaquiles were a very generous portion, the roasted flavor was interesting but I do wish the chilaquiles were crunchy, it was too soft. The lobster ceviche was our least favorite, it had a very mild almost bland flavor. I really appreciate that our server packed our food table side, definitely something that not every place offers and I love! As we were walking out we noticed that a valet was setting up which was a bit odd since this restaurant is located in a shopping plaza. read more

The ambiance was Instagram worthy, but that's about it. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, however it seemed like she was dealing with more tables than she could handle, which was no fault of her own. We ordered the churros for dessert and they took over 30 mins to arrive. We tried to cancel them twice and they didn't cancel them, and we still got charged for them. The chips were a bit salty and oily , the food was okay but the drinks were watered down half the time . They were good and then they weren't second time around . I personally wouldn't come here again. Service: horrible. There's probably something in the water that all the workers drink because they all suffer from amnesia. Whatever we wanted, we had to ask for it multiple times. It just wasn't one time, it was at least 6 items we had to ask for over and over. We went on a Saturday evening and it's not like they were super busy. Mixed drinks: nicely presented but don't have much alcohol. Just call them agua frescas with a hint of alcohol. I had the rich bitch and fridas garden but both disappointed. The fridas garden was nicely presented but I didn't taste any alcohol. Food: we shared the nachos. They were good bc they had mole sauce. I had the shrimp enchiladas. Large serving. The food is good but not good enough to make me come here again. Ambiance: it's nicely decorated, but this place is a mess. The service does not match the niceness of the restaurant, the drinks don't match the price tag, and the food is ok. The overall vibe that I got is that this restaurant is trying very hard to sell itself as an upscale restaurant and it fails miserably. read more

Arrived to dinner for my fiancé birthday dinner, This my second time dining here. My 1st time was breathtaking every dish was excellent in 2023 I believe it was grand opening. We ordered the lobster ceviche I was not impressed as it was full of scallops not lobster! Was not like the 1st time.. so why name a dish that's not lobster but scallops. then I got my cocktail with coconut foam on the "Diosa & Co" It was extremely slimy not my favorite as everything was not like I remembered. Even the shot of champagne had coconut foam! I could see the main cocktail but the champagne too?! Overpowering I would say... I asked for the soup of the day? Server had to ask the chef? Isn't that posted in the beginning of the shift so you could be prepared at the table? My fiancée order the ribeye he enjoyed it. Not fan of the mash potatoes. I had the mole enchiladas they were good but to be honest being disappointed with the lobster ceviche/scallops & cocktail, my appetite was very low after that. I give the tortilla soup & my wine a 10. Other than that I don't think this was a good choice for my fiancee birthday dinner. To be such a beautiful restaurant they should have more exclusive dessert options. I'm glad Porto's was across the street to at least enjoy our birthday desert. We tried the ; Camarones Al la diabla, good spice and taste and great portion, habanero aguachiles were very flavorful and had the right pint of spice, Chicken Al pastor came with rice and beans and veggies, steak fajitas, salmon. I dined at DIOSA for my birthday last night and it was an amazing experience for my party and me. Our servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was pretty cool; they even had a DJ. Everyone liked their drinks and were obsessed with the food. Maybe because we're Mexican and appreciate spice/overwhelming flavors but the tuna tartare was the best that I've tried in the LA area. First, I'd like to put it out there that I'm not one to write reviews. I just think that Diosa deserves its recognition. We came to Diosa on a Sunday dinner. My friends and I were celebrating my friend getting a promotion. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with beautiful chandeliers and wonderful hosts. We had a reservation at 6:30 and we were seated almost immediately. Our server Victor greeted us and told us a little about their style of service and went on to make his recommendations. We ordered the guac - nice presentation, chunky and a little spicy. Not over powering, just right. 8/10 Aguachiles - nice flavor. Shrimp cooked nicely and the mango habanero sauce was a favorite. Nice flavor. It is spicy so beware. 9/10 Mary tiera - streak was properly cook and seasoned. Tender meat and the mash potato on the bottom has a nice kick to it and the crunch is a surprise. Really enjoyed. 9/10 Cast iron carnitas - chunky shred of pork, good but could be better. Nothing out of this world. 6.5/10 Coco salmon - tender and flavorful fish. Nice crispy skin and the risotto was cooked perfect. 8/10 Churros foster - amazing presentation. Good flavor with the banana and caramel with the crunch of the nuts and paired with ice cream on top. 10/10 We really enjoyed the food and service. The waiter was fast with bringing food to the table and presented it very well. I met two different managers. Adrian and Stella BOTH stopped by my table at different times to check in and see how our meal was. The both saw to it that our night there was memorable. The food was great and for what we received it was well priced. Their dishes are like works of art! The bar made great drinks with high end ingredients. The "Tequila Goddess" was awesome!! Also, the ambiance in that restaurant is wonderful. The music was a tad loud for my taste though. All the staff is dressed sexy (my favorite word). I really wanted to love this place. Guessing this was their first Mother's Day crowd because no one was prepared. Had a 1pm reservation and still a line out the door. Apparently they overbooked and were STILL accepting walk ins which is ridiculous. Waited 45 outside in the heat to be seated. They were passing out champagne outside to those that were waiting but I was told I couldn't have any because it was only for OLDER mothers???!?? What does that even mean?! How offensive. Once we were finally seated it still took 30 min for a waiter to even come take our order.. that same waiter LEFT in the middle of his shit so I don't think our food order even made it to the kitchen. In total we were there 2 hours and had nothing but chips and salsa (that isn't even complimentary) and our drinks. We asked for the check after it seemed like we were totally forgotten about and they had the nerve to put our food that we never received on the bill. Absurd!!! We left without eating and were given a $50 gift card for our troubles. I will never be using that. This was an absolutely awful experience . Do not recommend. read more

Diosa has a great vibe, and the bar area is absolutely beautiful! However, the decor in the dining area feels a bit gaudy and could be toned down. While the service was decent, the overall experience didn't quite justify the high prices. The food and drinks are overpriced for both the area and the quality. Our table ordered the Enchiladas Verde, Carne Asada Plate, and Steak Empanadas--everything was good, but nothing exceptional for the cost. One major issue we encountered was being given a drinking glass with a deep crack. We were lucky no one was cut, but that's a dangerous miss on their end. They did remove the drink from the bill, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Another downside was the valet situation. They try to force you to use valet for a parking lot that is literally right in front of the restaurant, which makes no sense to me. If the prices were more reasonable and valet wasn't mandatory, it might be worth another visit. But as it stands, it's probably a one-and-done for me. read more

Came out for small bites and drinks with friends cause we heard it was the new spot in town. Beautiful, upscale interior. It even feels a little out of place in the shopping center in which it is located. Prices are a bit steep but everything we had was delicious. The menu is mexican with a variety of drinks but an emphasis on tequila and different types of margaritas. All of the drinks were well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately we had terrible service from the rude server assigned to our table. Barely checked in on us, gave attitude and visibly rolled his eyes when my friend was letting him know how we would split the check (in two, nothing major). This place is gorgeous. Clever designed it did an amazing job. As a very classy and elegant vibe to it. The food and drinks however, not so much. Everything is extremely overpriced and I get that they're trying to have it matched the aesthetic and ambience of the restaurant, but the drink qualities are trash. They use syrups and juices that are store-bought. Considering how much of a craft bar they're supposed to be and how elegant and beautiful the places, I expect a little more of craft cocktailing to be involved which entails making their own syrups and juices. Food also is extremely overpriced and personally didn't taste authentic to me. And considering all the other Mexican restaurants around the area, I would suggest people just go elsewhere. I recently visited this "upscale" Mexican restaurant and unfortunately, I have to give it a two-star review. While the atmosphere was pleasant and the decor was nicely done, the food was quite disappointing. The food was mediocre at best - it lacked the authenticity and flavor that one would expect from a Mexican restaurant. I'd expect more for the prices they charge. It was clear that the ingredients used were of a lower quality and lacked the freshness and bold flavors that true Mexican cuisine is known for. The place itself looks great, drinks were okay. The server was professional and had good knowledge of the menu. Overall, it seems like the focus is to get people to promote this and hype it up on social media. At least I can now say I tried it.
