Oh I wish we had one of these in Vegas! I love this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cool vibe just walking in and the service was exceptional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We saw an Andre Reed jersey on the wall and the owner chatted with us about it for a bit. He was on top of everything with service, friendless and vibe. We ordered a bunch of wings and fried pickles. The dirty ranch, dirty blue, Asian bbq, and salt and vinegar which were mind blowing! My first time trying that flavor and it hit the spot. The draft beers were super cold and the ranch dressing slaps. Can't wait to return.

After having a great experience at the DB's in Point Loma, I was excited to run it back at the Pb location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located on the main strip of Pb, this is a prime location for beach goers and locals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got some wings, cauliflower and pickles to go and watched the sunset close by. The restaurant was extra busy on a Sunday night which is probably why our order was lukewarm. It wasn't a big deal but the cauliflower was a bit soggy once we started eating. The pickles and wings didn't really have that issue. Overall still really great but would probably not get a to-go order next time, and eat inside. The portions are bigger if you dine in, it seems.

First time trying Dirty Birds after hearing great things about it. Started my order off with the Mac & Cheese Balls. A must get, absolutely incredible. The Mac & cheese balls are infused with jalapeños & bacon. As for the wings, I ordered the 10 piece bone-in Asian orange wings & apple bourbon chipotle which came with the sides of carrots/celery & ranch sauce. You can definitely taste the bourbon & the orange in the wings. The wings are cooked perfectly! Crispy, throughly cooked, tight, well-rendered skin. Very flavorful! They have a large amount of flavors to choose from but highly recommend the Asian orange wings. The service was very quick. Our food came out in a matter of minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and the playlist is 10/10! Music ranged from lots of hip-hop, country, electronic & some reggae.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]2 gender neutral bathrooms are available. Clean, smells good with an automatic hand soap dispenser and hand dryer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would come here again.

So good! Wing flavors are so unique. I also liked that they offered us to try some of the flavors before we committed to getting them on our wings. Tried garlic herb and diablo 100% recommend. I would come back just for the nachos alone. The causes they put on there 10/10 chips, crispy, toppings, loaded.

Was walking down Mission when I see this sign claiming to be some of the best wings in America, so I had to go in . The 3 peat bbq and Seoul wings were so good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bartender was awesome and the vibe was perfect to sit on a bar top and eat some great wings[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Will definitely be back my next time in PB

When we walked in, the sign said please seat yourself! After it got busy, they turned it around to please wait to be seated! We chose a table off to the side. Had a nice view of the bar and other tables and the passerbys. We got half off in-bone wings for happy hour. Woot! I chose the spiciest one and the dry jerk rub. (It was a yellow flag but it belongs with the red flags!) My boo and I loved both. We got ten of each set of flavored wings. We ate all but four. Got them in a box to go. The tater tots were also delicious and fresh and filling. They went well with the ketchup or mustard on the table. My boo loved the music in the background. Lots of country beats. We were surprised to see the NY Mets and Rangers on two of the TV's. The draft beer selection was meh for my tastes, but maybe another time I'll find the right one. This is my new favorite wings spot because the spicy wings are actually spicy! Will recommend anyone who's in the area to come here for a bite. Service was great, including ice water service, and big cups too, which is great for those h-h-hot bites! Happy eats!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I love Dirty Birds and usually avoid PB thinking it's always busy but I went in on a week night for wings and beers and to my surprise it wasn't busy at all.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It took a little while for someone to help us but after that, the two ladies running things were super attentive. We had a great time, the wings were BOMB as usual and the beer selection was on point. I'll for sure be back to this location.

Combos. Some good things just seem a little better when paired with another good thing. For some, two good things paired together are "wings and things." Well if you've always wanted to pair a San Diego beach as your "thing" with some tasty wings, then we have a recommendation for you. While other "Dirty Birds" locations do exist, the one in the Pacific Beach neighborhood is the "OG" where it all began and it is literally a mere two short blocks from the ocean. As you enter you may notice the 12 "wing championship banners" that are proudly displayed because they've hung more championship banners than the San Diego Padres. (Oh, wait. Maybe that's because the Pads have never actually won a championship...like...ever. ‍) Their hotness spectrum is comprehensive and clearly communicated (to prevent the accidental incineration of unsuspecting tastebuds). While I'm more of a traditional wings kinda guy, I have to admit that their boneless wings gave their bone in counterparts a run for their money. Speaking of , they offer "Happy Hour" 1/2 priced wings Monday-Friday (3-6 p.m.). Expect searching for a parking spot to be an adventure, but quit your whining since you'll be at the beach (so no one will feel like offering you sympathy anyway). And that's...Henry's Take. #wingsandthings #sdbeachesandwings

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here and typically i don't like a bar ambience but the food is awesome![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great! The wings were really good and same with all the food we ordered.

The SERVICE 4/5 stars. Our server was truly amazing. She deserved the 5/5. Great recommendations, super genuine and fun, had the best energy and was CONSTANTLY checking in on us; however, a couple of the other workers could have been a little bit more open with communication. We were sitting against the window at the high top wraparound bar tables (feels like an extension of the bar), so the bar is easy to order from and was our go to as soon as we arrived. The bartender took our order, but was standoffish as if we were doing something foreign or a big "no no". Finally the server in charge of our area told us that the bartenders are in charge of the bar and there are other servers for all the other tables/zones. If we were told that from the beginning, we would have made sure to follow the order of the place and order from the correct server. A few of us truly felt bad, but now we know when we go in next time what to expect. Barleymash is always a great time, so we always want to make sure we are doing it right! I truly recommend sitting anywhere else but that window/wall on a packed night, but sometimes you have to deal with what you are lucky enough to get!

It was recommended to mix the ribs with the Mac and cheese, and I have never been happier with a recommendation in my life. This is precisely why I like to ask for the servers favorites!

We only had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. There's a huge bar area where people can just walk in an order drinks but they also had some seated area for people dining in. There's also outdoor seating which was great for people watching. Prices were super reasonable here compared to a lot of restaurants in the area. We shared a bunch of foods between 3: Burger with Mac and Cheese and Fries, Ribs with Tater Tots and a Caesar salad, and garlic buns. I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. When I entered the restaurant around 7:00 PM, I was stopped and questioned extensively by security regarding my service animal. Rather than being asked the limited ADA-compliant questions permitted by law, the interaction became prolonged and uncomfortable while staff repeatedly attempted to determine whether my dog was a "real" service animal or simply an emotional support animal. I remained waiting at the entrance while this was repeatedly discussed back and forth. What made the situation especially humiliating was that another patron openly laughed at me during the interaction while walking outside for a cigarette. I later realized this same patron had her own dog inside the establishment in a stroller the entire time. Staff members appeared very familiar and comfortable with her, and multiple employees, including my waitress- referred to her as a "regular." Although her dog was eventually moved to the patio area, the contrast in how the situations were handled made me feel singled out, embarrassed, and unfairly scrutinized. I later spoke with management in hopes of resolving the matter respectfully. During that conversation, I was surprised and concerned to hear that neither management nor staff were familiar with psychiatric service animals or their protections under the ADA. Psychiatric service animals are legally recognized service animals when trained to perform disability-related tasks, and this lack of awareness was deeply concerning, especially in a city like San Diego with a large disabled and veteran community. I fully understand that businesses are allowed to ask limited ADA-compliant questions regarding service animals, and I also understand that many establishments have dealt with individuals falsely claiming pets as service animals. However, there is a significant difference between appropriately verifying a service animal and making a disabled customer feel publicly interrogated and humiliated. The overall handling of this interaction lacked professionalism, sensitivity, and basic understanding of ADA service animal protections. No customer should feel mocked, scrutinized, or publicly embarrassed simply for entering a restaurant with a legitimate service animal. I sincerely hope this situation can serve as an opportunity for additional ADA education and proper service animal training for staff moving forward so that other disabled guests do not experience similar treatment. I would appreciate being informed of any steps the restaurant intends to take regarding ADA compliance and staff training before I determine how I would like to proceed further. Thank you for your time and attention.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. In conclusion, Nicky Rottens is a prime destination for anyone seeking a vibrant atmosphere, stunning views, and a solid meal. I can confidently say that if you ever find yourself in Coronado, this establishment is a must-visit. After all, it's just one small step for man, and one giant leap into deliciousness!
