Dirty ranch Cheddar Breaded Cauliflower (V)

After having a great experience at the DB's in Point Loma, I was excited to run it back at the Pb location. Located on the main strip of Pb, this is a prime location for beach goers and locals. We got some wings, cauliflower and pickles to go and watched the sunset close by. The restaurant was extra busy on a Sunday night which is probably why our order was lukewarm. It wasn't a big deal but the cauliflower was a bit soggy once we started eating. The pickles and wings didn't really have that issue. Overall still really great but would probably not get a to-go order next time, and eat inside. The portions are bigger if you dine in, it seems.

First time trying Dirty Birds after hearing great things about it. Started my order off with the Mac & Cheese Balls. A must get, absolutely incredible. The Mac & cheese balls are infused with jalapeños & bacon. As for the wings, I ordered the 10 piece bone-in Asian orange wings & apple bourbon chipotle which came with the sides of carrots/celery & ranch sauce. You can definitely taste the bourbon & the orange in the wings. The wings are cooked perfectly! Crispy, throughly cooked, tight, well-rendered skin. Very flavorful! They have a large amount of flavors to choose from but highly recommend the Asian orange wings. The service was very quick. Our food came out in a matter of minutes. Very clean and the playlist is 10/10! Music ranged from lots of hip-hop, country, electronic & some reggae. 2 gender neutral bathrooms are available. Clean, smells good with an automatic hand soap dispenser and hand dryer. Would come here again.

Was walking down Mission when I see this sign claiming to be some of the best wings in America, so I had to go in . The 3 peat bbq and Seoul wings were so good. Bartender was awesome and the vibe was perfect to sit on a bar top and eat some great wings . Will definitely be back my next time in PB

So good! Wing flavors are so unique. I also liked that they offered us to try some of the flavors before we committed to getting them on our wings. Tried garlic herb and diablo 100% recommend. I would come back just for the nachos alone. The causes they put on there 10/10 chips, crispy, toppings, loaded.

When we walked in, the sign said please seat yourself! After it got busy, they turned it around to please wait to be seated! We chose a table off to the side. Had a nice view of the bar and other tables and the passerbys. We got half off in-bone wings for happy hour. Woot! I chose the spiciest one and the dry jerk rub. (It was a yellow flag but it belongs with the red flags!) My boo and I loved both. We got ten of each set of flavored wings. We ate all but four. Got them in a box to go. The tater tots were also delicious and fresh and filling. They went well with the ketchup or mustard on the table. My boo loved the music in the background. Lots of country beats. We were surprised to see the NY Mets and Rangers on two of the TV's. The draft beer selection was meh for my tastes, but maybe another time I'll find the right one. This is my new favorite wings spot because the spicy wings are actually spicy! Will recommend anyone who's in the area to come here for a bite. Service was great, including ice water service, and big cups too, which is great for those h-h-hot bites! Happy eats!

Wings and beer for two. They added a 4% surcharge to the bill

I love Dirty Birds and usually avoid PB thinking it's always busy but I went in on a week night for wings and beers and to my surprise it wasn't busy at all. It took a little while for someone to help us but after that, the two ladies running things were super attentive. We had a great time, the wings were BOMB as usual and the beer selection was on point. I'll for sure be back to this location.

Combos. Some good things just seem a little better when paired with another good thing. For some, two good things paired together are "wings and things." Well if you've always wanted to pair a San Diego beach as your "thing" with some tasty wings, then we have a recommendation for you. While other "Dirty Birds" locations do exist, the one in the Pacific Beach neighborhood is the "OG" where it all began and it is literally a mere two short blocks from the ocean. As you enter you may notice the 12 "wing championship banners" that are proudly displayed because they've hung more championship banners than the San Diego Padres. (Oh, wait. Maybe that's because the Pads have never actually won a championship...like...ever. ‍) Their hotness spectrum is comprehensive and clearly communicated (to prevent the accidental incineration of unsuspecting tastebuds). While I'm more of a traditional wings kinda guy, I have to admit that their boneless wings gave their bone in counterparts a run for their money. Speaking of , they offer "Happy Hour" 1/2 priced wings Monday-Friday (3-6 p.m.). Expect searching for a parking spot to be an adventure, but quit your whining since you'll be at the beach (so no one will feel like offering you sympathy anyway). And that's...Henry's Take. #wingsandthings #sdbeachesandwings

We came here and typically i don't like a bar ambience but the food is awesome! The service was great! The wings were really good and same with all the food we ordered.

Habanero Lime on the bottom and Honey Bbq on the top
    Leanna E.

We came on a Monday afternoon around 2:00 pm, it was not packed at all, there were 3 other occupied tables other than us. We ordered the 20 piece which allows up to 4 different flavors, the flavors we tried were the Habanero Lime, Honey Bbq, Buffalo, and Garlic Serrano. They were all very tasty and full of flavor, my favorite out of the 4 was the Garlic Serrano. The wings are full of meat and pretty big in size. We also ordered a side of fries which were also very good. The service was 10/10 and food came out quick. Ambience is very beachy chill vibes which I love! I will definitely visit here again.

Our bartender Mike was great, and may Mai Thai ($14) defiantly did what it needed to do. It was sweet, strong and served with the cutest bear-shaped glass with a beautiful purple flower on top. One drink had a girl feeling tipsy. We ordered from the late-night "midnight Bites" menu, which was the only thing we could choose from at the hour of our visit. Everything we selected was really good. Wed got the Frito Pie ($12), Chicken thigh tenders ($7), and Tots ($7). The frito pie presentation was my second favorite part (after the bear glass drink), It came in a all-clad style bowl with the chip bag cut open inside, loaded with Texas-style chilli, melted nacho cheese, and shredded cheese. It was so good I even started adding tots in there too. The tots and Thigh tenders had the perfect crisp! They have sweet and sour chili sauce for dipping with the chicken which was fab! The retro decor made the place even better. I loved seeing the old Blockbuster VHS tapes and music cassettes displayed around the bar. My little eye also spot the Dallas Cowboys flag! Texas energy is definitely in the house. There's also a small arcade area in the back, and my eyes instantly lit up seeing PAC-Man. We didn't get to fully explore the game room because we were trying to make it to Ghirardelli Ice cream & Chocolate shop for dessert before they closed at midnight too. Thankfully everything worked out perfectly since our car was parked right in front of Ghirardelli. NO military discount was honored here even though the owner is a veteran, but overall I still had a really good experience and would definitely come back whenever I'm in the Gaslamp district in SD, Cali. (Oops posted it on a smoke shop in Texas. This review was meant to be shared here) Update: Response to owner: Joe V. That was the best response from any owner I have ever received!!! I love that you mentioned yall haven't been mistaken for a smoke shop in Texas, that Mai Thai last mea bit. Yes sir I reckon it did.

I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. Cute thing, you can actually have kids come too, my niece who is 5 got to come along and they had a little device for her so she can push the ball, she ended up beating me.
