The ambiance is very dive bar, but also very personable and welcoming. The wings... are probably the best wings in Pacific Beach... maybe in all of San Diego. Their awards don't lie. The wings are big meaty portions, and juicy to the bite. We ordered a set of 10 wings, all flats, half lemon pepper and half apple bourbon chipotle (a fan fave). Did not disappoint!!! If you're feeling 'wings' this is your spot! They have a phenomenal Tuesday All Day Happy Hour deal where it's half-off on wings! The aesthetic is definitely dive-bar-ish, so definitely wonderfully coupled with a beer/well-drink and a sports game. Their 'super-hot' flavors like habanero are def hot, but not 'ruin your meal' hot. But, your MMV. So far my faves are Habanero, Dirty Ranch and their General Bird. I've always loved Lemon Pepper Dry, but there are other places that give a better dry coating. I'd lean towards their wet wings. Came here for lunch on a Thursday, and the place was pretty empty. The bartender appeared to be handling both the bar and the dining area by herself. Most of the seating is high-top tables. Since we were with our daughter, we asked if we could sit at one of the regular-height tables, but we were told no because she wouldn't be able to serve us there. That was confusing, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. After we were seated, it took quite a while for someone to come back and take our order. We almost left because of the wait. On the positive side, the wings were surprisingly good. I think the biggest issue is staffing. Having the bartender cover both the bar and the restaurant seems to slow down service. Anyways we decided to order from here, I've had dirty birds a handful of times and was never amazed, but ordering to go was not even a "B" plus rating. Honestly it was pretty terrible. They were all very tasty and full of flavor, my favorite out of the 4 was the Garlic Serrano. The wings are full of meat and pretty big in size. Was just in tonight to take advantage of the half off boneless wings Wednesday. The blonde bartender told me this is a dine in only promotion so I sat at the bar and ordered. I didn't plan to eat the full meal so I asked for the bill and a to go box when she dropped the food so I could eat most of my meal and jet when I'm ready. The bartender responds by saying "I know what you're trying to do. You're supposed to dine in". I reassured her I'm still planning on eating in but I don't intend to eat my full meal and want to take away the rest. She hands me the bill and it's the full price so I ask her to apply the Wednesday discount. She said I was supposed to eat in which is why she didn't apply the discount. I was eating in and so I asked her again to apply the discount . She takes the handheld away from me with a scowl, applies the discount, and hands me the handheld back with the 20% tip pre-selected (which I think is incredibly rude).
