The restaurant is open concept, so it's warm! The view is nice & worth it though especially around sunset. Our server was friendly & attentive! She had a lot of tables and still managed to do great. Our food was delicious. Everything was cooked well & all had good flavor! The sauces they gave were nice touches We did a 3pm 90 min boat tour with buccaneers- which leaves from snoopys! This restaurant is right next to it! I only mention this so if you're visiting and want to have an itinerary lined up I definitely recommend doing the boat tour and stopping for dinner at Docs after

This was my first time trying Doc's and if there is one thing to be said - the atmosphere can't be beat! nestled under the bridge, you are sure to get a great view no matter where you are sat in the restaurant. Popping in for an early lunch, we had front row seats to the water and items came out really quickly. For drinks, we opted for a mermaid water (in a bucket, of course) and costal cooler and both were delicious starts to the meal! To eat, we had the Cajun fries (toped with crawfish tails, bacon, and cheese), the self titled "clam chowda," and the grilled coconut shrimp. The fries were good, but the crawfish tails were quite dried up and rubbery. Would have rather them not been included all together, as it really took away from the crispy yet fluffy fries that were cooked to perfection. The chowder, which the menu boasts is the best in town, isn't lying! A delicious bit from the first spoonful to the last. The grilled coconut shrimp was the star of the show. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, it is my worst nightmare to get an overcooked shrimp and they nailed it, along with the light sides the dish felt refreshing and just what you want on a humid/hot day. I had seen reviews that mentioned it is pricey, and it certainly is. A lot of places on the island are, but this felt a little too over the top in comparison and for what it was. Something to keep in mind especially if you are feeding a large number of people on your bill.

This place was highly recommended. First time going. I didn't see a reservation option online and they aren't on OpenTable. We arrived and it was an hour wait:/ we decided to stick around wait. Thankfully it didn't feel that long because we walked around and enjoyed the views until our buzzer went off. We initially got a big pretzel and some chips and salsa to start off with. Yum:) My son got the Seafood Lovers plate and loved it and I got the Surf and Turf. Delicious. Our waitress was wonderful. Would definitely go again and just hope for a less wait time.

Still love this place! So much so that we did eat here twice in the last 3 days and I have no regrets. Great location on the water with excellent views. I've also found my new fave dish which is the Doc's Yard Bird! Can't wait to take my mom and mother in law here soon! Also, if you have a military ID you receive 10% off your meal. :)

We visited with a large group of 7 adults and 2 children, which can sometimes be a challenge for a restaurant, but this place exceeded our expectations. The menu offered a great variety of options that satisfied every type of eater in our group. From fresh seafood and fish tacos to burgers, salads, shrimp dishes, and kid-friendly favorites, everyone found something they loved. Every meal that came to the table looked fantastic and was cooked perfectly. The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, the shrimp dishes were delicious, and even the burgers and fries received rave reviews. The drinks were equally impressive, with refreshing cocktails and non-alcoholic options that complemented the meal perfectly. What really stood out was the service. Despite our large party, the staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. Food arrived promptly, drinks stayed filled, and we never felt overlooked. The restaurant itself was also clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere for both adults and children. Finding a restaurant that can successfully accommodate a group this size while delivering excellent food and service isn't always easy, but this one did it effortlessly. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal with family or friends. Highlights: Great variety on the menu Delicious seafood, tacos, burgers, and salads Excellent service for a large group Clean and welcoming atmosphere Family-friendly with options for all ages We'll definitely be back!

We had such a great experience here at the bar with Rebecca while we waited for our table. We ordered a few drinks and came on military Monday so we got a discount since my partner is ex-military. I got the Vida Rum Runner. The rest of the table ordered a Paloma, a shiner, and a straw Basil. We also got some chips and salsa. Once we moved to our table, we had Skye as our server. She was awesome and gave us some really great suggestions. We ordered shrimp po-boys, salmon, clam chowder, and another appetizer. Everything was yummy and we especially loved being able to watch the live sunset for dinner. Special thanks to Skye for making my mom's birthday so special. She turned 82 during our visit!

Lots of seating. We couldn't sit on the outside deck, but were close enough to get up and see the dophins playing! Our server, Shay(?) was a delight. Friendly and recommended some delicious things. We ordered the clam bites and the chicken fried steak.. it was huge! Came with 2 big portions. We shared it and still took some home! They had live music too. All in all a great place to come for dinner.

Our dining experience here tonight was so amazing! It was a busy afternoon but we were able to get seated right away. Our server, Ally, wade the sweetest and so attentive. She gave us her recommendations and the specials. We ordered drinks as well as some of Ally's recommended entrees. The food was so flavorful. I highly recommend the crab stuff flounder. The key lime pie was exceptional. While I no longer live in Corpus we are adding this restaurant to our family favorites and will definitely be back.

One of my favorite places on earth, and I have reviewed it several times in the past, but not working in CC anymore I only get here during Sandfest. It was a chilly, overcast day so none of the standard beautiful sunny views, but the food was as good as ever. I almost always get the special, and this day was no different. I had the blackened redfish over rice, and it was fantastic. A couple different local brews and some great company made it a complete day.

Stopped to eat at Doc's Seafood & Steaks on the trip home from Port A. The parking lot was full and the restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night. We were able to find parking and were greeted by the host. We were seated quickly with no wait and got a large booth in the dining area to accommodate our party of 7. It was too dark by the time we got there for us to enjoy the beautiful view. They had a live music performance which was enjoyable. The service was very friendly and attentive. Was very engaging with the kiddos at the table and a very friendly demeanor. I have to say that this time around the quality of the food was not as good as I remember. I ordered the Coastal bacon wrapped shrimp, 6 jumbo shrimp stuffed with cilantro lime cream cheese and wrapped in applewood bacon. The specialty side was squash and zucchini and a side of rice. They did provide me with a butter dipping sauce upon request. The shrimp was a bit overcooked and chewy and they were also a bit smaller than I remember. The kids in our party had a cheese burger and grilled cheese kids meal with apple sauce. When the grilled cheese sandwich came out and the kiddo did not want to eat because it was greasy and shaped like a circle; the server took it back to the kitchen to address the concerns. Also ordered the fried shrimp platter, 8 shrimp hand-breaded in panko and comes with fries, slaw, and hush puppies, tartar and cocktail sauce . Also had the catch of the day platter with mahi mahi served with rice and the vegetable of the day. The Costal cob salad with chicken includes fresh mixed greens with pico de gallo, cheese, egg, bacon and avocado. Over all a good dining experience with attentive and friendly service. Just wish the food had been on par with the last visit.

This place offers great food with stunning views of the sunset over the water. It can get busy, so expect a wait. If you have to wait, you can always head downstairs and hang out. They have a bar down there and a couple of games to play, like cornhole. I will warn you, though, parking can be really tough for dinner - even parking on the street can be hard to find. They have live music on most nights, but I'll warn you, sometimes the performer in the dining room can be a little on the loud side and just a tad annoying - it's not absolutely terrible though. They offer a decent selection of local and regional beers, but none on tap. They also have a full bar for your favorite cocktail. They have covered outdoor seating on the deck, but you can still see the sunset from inside if you are seated in the right area. When I was there, they had the big doors open, so a decent breeze was coming in, and you could see the sunset. The crab-stuffed flounder was my favorite - it's a must try! I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Great service and food. Went on a Friday evening around 5pm and they were too busy. Got a seat outside on the patio and they had additional fans going to help keep it cool. Grant, was the person who assisted and I got one of the specials - Parmesan crusted redfish. This was amazing! The crust on the fish was crunchy and gave a nice contrast to the delicate fish inside that was cooked perfectly. The sauce on top was equally delicious and the only negative was it was a shrimp sauce however there may have been one or two pieces of shrimp. So, that could have been better. The green beans were seasoned well and the rice also flavorful. The restroom was sea decorated and a different set up with a split stall, one right by the entrance and the other on the far side with the sinks in-between. The views were great! Overall delicious food and good service, I'd recommend to pop in especially if you can make it for the sunset, has to be amazing.

Docs Seafood and Steaks is an absolute must if you're in Port A! We came just in time to catch the sunset, and the atmosphere was incredible, relaxed, coastal, and the perfect way to end the day. The service was fantastic too, quick, attentive, and super friendly, even during a busy season. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Snapper, and wow, it was huge and absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily a dish I'd get again. The rest of the table had the Fiesta Burger (with a veggie patty), a seafood platter, and the mahi-mahi, everything looked amazing! For appetizers, we tried the hush puppies and Wisconsin cheese curds, and those cheese curds are a 10/10 must-order. But the real star for me? The clam chowder, creamy, rich, and so good I'd come back just for another bowl. I'm definitely giving this place a four out of five, for the only reason of being the veggie burger had a little too much soy, and the fries were a little dry! But that is no reason to not come! This place is amazing! If you're looking for great seafood, friendly service, and an unbeatable view, Docs is the place to go!

The restaurant is quite large and is on multiple levels at the top of the Omni hotel. Getting around is OK. As we were led to our table, we passed the bar, which looked like it would be an interesting spot to hang out. Our server, Brittany was very nice, competent and efficient. The cocktail menu was impressive, lots of choices. We ordered our drinks and started working on making food choices. PD enjoyed her cocktail, and I enjoyed mine. Presentation was neat. We ordered appetizers and main courses. PD had the lobster bisque which was very good and had large bits of lobster in it. I ordered the Beef Carpaccio. I was rather disappointed. Once you removed the greenery and the toasts, there was not very much actual beef. PD ordered the Redfish and I ordered the Bison Ribeye for our main courses. Hers came with accompaniments, but mine did not so I ordered Au Gratin Potatoes to go with it. She enjoyed her meal very much. My first cut on the meat was very gristly. I think I just picked the wrong end to start from. But overall, my steak was way overcooked. I ordered medium rare and got what I would call very well done. The melted butter on it didn't really help. I really should have sent it back. The Potatoes were very good, but there was just an awful lot of them. I ate about a quarter of them and took the rest home. I did have a glass of wine with my dinner, but I found the choice of wines available by the glass to be a bit light. We got a free desert (it was our anniversary) and it was perfect. Chocolate mousse was light enough to go with the heavy meal we had just finished. On the scale of fancy steak houses, we found the pricing pretty reasonable.

The restaurant is located in the art gallery building and there is parking located at the building. I really wanted the Bloody Mary shooter but was told that they don't sell it on its own and that it comes with the order of crab crake. But my server was amazing and made it happen. We started off with the drum nachos. That was the of the show. We enjoyed it so much. The drum was cooked to perfection and the lettuce with the cheese and the crema were delicious. We ate everything. The oysters weren't anything special. They were still attacked to the bottom of the shell so I had to attach them. The watermelon sauce they have to put on them is super good. Our next favorite thing was the red snapper. I had seen pictures on yelp and it looked blackened. When we ordered we weren't asked if we wanted blackened or fried. It came out fried which was ok but I was expecting blackened. It was still really good a tasty and we finished it all. We did order the three cheese cavatappi and that was a miss for use. We thought it was going to be creamy and it wasn't. It got hard really quick so that is something we will not be getting again. Then we ordered the shrimp 41 sandwich. Basically a shrimp po'boy. They only suggestion I would have for this is to ad more of the sauce to the sandwich and offer a side of tartar sauce to dip. We got the fries that can with tajin which tasted good but next time I would say easy on the tajin. For desert we got the bourbon glazed bread pudding. It was fantastic. Based on the yelp pictures we saw it was paired with Ice cream so we thought that's the way it came. So just letting everyone know it doesn't come with Ice cream. I was a fantastic dessert through. ww will be ordering that again when we stop by. I also ordered the lavender haze as my drink and it its presentation is beautiful and it tasted really good. It wasn't overly sweet. Overall we loved the restaurant. Everyone needs to try them out.

Beautiful from the moment you step into the museum foyer to get to the restaurant itself. Lovely view of the harbor with all the boats. We were greeted warmly even though it was already 8:00 pm with closing at 9:00 plus I had 3 grands with me. Tara, our server was simply the best! She got the kids orders first while I enjoyed a cocktail. I believe it was called Lavender Haze and was very refreshing. The bacon wrapped shrimp was amazing with the cream cheese. I will never think of creamed spinach the same. This side was prepared with fresh spinach and was not overcooked, very nice! You can sit outside as well. We loved everything about Gallery 41!

Was visiting Corpus and found this restaurant online and decided to give it a try and I'm so glad…read morewe did. The food and service were both great. We came in about an hour before closing so the restaurant was nearly empty, but our waiter served us graciously and didn't miss a beat on amazing service. We had the calmari, kats meow (shrimp appetizer), and a steak with Mac n cheese and potatoes. All were amazing. I also had a caesar salad that paired well with the shrimp accompaniment that we ordered with the steak. Only watch out, is it was a little dark in the restaurant to me, but nothing unbearable. I would definitely recommend and whenever I'm back in Corpus I will return.

Here's my Clint Eastwood review, The Good, The Bad, and The Disappointing…read more The Good Location, not on SPID and all that congestion. Located on Spohn right off of S Staples, really nice location. This place is huge, with a giant bar, where we like to sit and dine, with an adjacent raw/Sushi bar, very nice. The bar offers a huge selection of adult beverage makings. We were celebrating our 39th anniversary, so a restaurant of this caliber is certainly appropriate. The drinks, a Tanqueray Martini with an Orange twist for her and a Manhattan straight up with four roses bourbon for me, were perfectly sized and delicious. The restaurant boasts a large freestanding humidor with a nice selection of cigars. I also noticed a wall of personal humidor lockers for customers to keep their personal cigars available. This all suggested a cigar room, but I never saw it. The wait staff, were mostly attentive. Instead of depending on your bartenders to deliver food, I'm more accustomed to restaurants, of this caliber, to have a dedicated wait staff for bar dining patrons. Especially considering they have a large number of high top tables for dining in the bar. Friday nights, like when we were there, get pretty hectic for the bartenders. For our second drink the bartender made mistakes on both our drinks, my wife's Martini came with Olives,(I liked them) instead of the twist of orange. My Manhattan came with her twist of orange instead of the usual Luxardo cherry. Perhaps if the bartenders just bartended they wouldn't make simple mistakes. ‍ . They were very nice and brought me a shot glass with several Luxardo cherries in it. Thank you Ladies! The food. We started with appetizers. My wife got their escargot that were traditionally prepared in an escargot serving dish rich with butter, garlic and a hint of citrus. They were delicious, albeit small. My wife was happy with them. I got their Crispy Calamari Atop Stir Fried Carrots, Green Onions & Cashews with a Kung Pao Sauce. This dish, for us, was the hit of the night. The calamari, instead of the rings so commonly served, were calamari strips. They were perfectly fried and the combination of the calamari, the vegetables and that kung pao sauce was absolutely mouth watering. If you like calamari I highly recommend this dish. You won't be disappointed. Entrees. My wife got their escargot Greek style rack of Lamb with spinach. The Lamb was perfectly seasoned and served medium-rare. It was absolutely delicious. If you like Lamb this is a great dish, oh and the chops were huge! The Bad. Nothing to see here. The Disappointing. I ordered the USDA Prime Ribeye with Citrus-Braised Baby Carrots & Whipped Potatoes and a Dijon Herbal Butter. I order my steaks cooked medium-rare "Pittsburgh style". First, everyone knows what a ribeye steak looks like, it has that very distinctive shape, you can't miss it. If what they served me was a ribeye, then I'm the true Bad Bunny! When the entrees were delivered they didn't give us steak knives, we had to ask for them. Now maybe they were that confident in the tenderness of the meat that they didn't feel we needed steak knives. Or maybe, just maybe, they should be tending bar instead of delivering food. Second the menu clearly states USDA Prime Ribeye. I know what that is, and what was served me wasn't that. As I stated I order my steaks "Pittsburg style". What that means is the steak is first cooked to an internal temperature that is 5 to 10° short of medium-rare. The steak is then immersed in either melted butter or tallow and then immediately thrown on a very hot grill. This causes the grill to engulf the steak in flames charring the outside of the steak and raising the internal temperature to medium-rare. I do it all the time on my backyard grill. While my steak did have some charring, it wasn't Pittsburg style. Conclusions. Would we go back? Absolutely if for nothing else to get that crispy calamari. Would I order the steak again? Not without getting some assurances that I get a Rib Eye and they know how to cook it Pittsburg style. I guess, in the end, this has all the potential to be a high-end steakhouse, for our visit I felt they didn't meet that expectation.

I visited on Friday afternoon to sit at the bar for Happy Hour and it was an excellent experience…read more I arrived and headed to the bar at 3:10 PM, Happy Hour is 3-7. There was one other table occupied. Happy Hour specials are margaritas and beer, each for only $3. And these aren't small, wimpy, HH sized margaritas, they were full goblet sized and outstanding. I also had the HH Tater Boats and mushrooms. The tater skins were actually half potatoes with cheese, chives and bacon, very tasty. The mushrooms were crispy and served piping hot. The service was great, the bartender/waitress was friendly, prompt and professional. Overall, a fantastic Happy Hour spot.

The menu is quite extensive.I want to come again and try their seafood. Inside is kind of dark with a lot of wood. Music is playing at a nice volume to allow for conversation. It's actually pretty quiet inside. I liked that. Restroom was very clean and smelled freshly cleaned. They had real metal utensils, cloth napkins, and real ceramic plates. Nice! My salad plate was chilled. . I asked for Ranch dressing and I am pretty sure it was homemade. My salad was crisp and very fresh with no brown or weird pieces. The t also comes with bitter and biscuits. Even the green beans tasted homemade and were very fresh and flavorful. The steak was outstanding. Smoky, juicy, tender, and cooked as ordered, med rare. I am really glad I chose this restaurant for dinner tonight. I will definitely be back next month.
