We came to Doma for the first time and found it to be a pleasant experience with friendly service and good food. I had the bibim naengmyun (cold spicy noodles). The noodles were slightly overcooked but the sauce was flavorful and not too spicy. I added a little vinegar to kick it up a notch-- 3.5 We also ordered pork tonkatsu, classic preparation with crispy batter and a well balanced sauce drizzled on top.. it was good enough for my husband and son to eat every bite-- 5 My youngest ordered the ttukbaegi bulgogi, which had great flavor in a light broth that was served boiling hot. My son chowed down the tender pieces of beef, sliced rice cake, noodles, bok choy, mushrooms, and meat filled pot stickers--5 I also enjoyed the Kpop music playing in the background and the side dishes were good.

You know that feeling when a craving hits? That was my experience tonight at Doma. I came in with a serious hankering for K-food, and Doma hit every single mark. We started with the deep-fried mandu - 12 perfectly crispy pieces for $13.99 - hot, golden, and incredibly satisfying. They also brought out a generous spread of banchan, all fresh and well-balanced. For the main, I ordered the chicken teriyaki and tofu soup combo ($24.99), which comes with sliced chicken marinated in a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce and a bubbling hot tofu soup. Adding the complimentary raw egg ourselves into the boiling soup was pure magic - rich, comforting, and exactly what you want on a chilly night. Everything came out piping hot and perfectly timed. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and well-kept, and the team was quick, attentive, and always on top of table touches. Even as it got busy, the service never missed a beat. I feel incredibly lucky to live near so many great Korean spots - and even luckier to count Doma as one of my go-to favorites. High marks across the board and absolutely no complaints.

I was craving Korean food and had stumbled across this place on Yelp. I am so glad I had stopped by & tried it out! When I had walked in, the place was bustling so I had high hopes it would be good...and it amazing. The staff were super attentive and would check in with tables often. The bulgogi, sides & tofu soup stood out to me the most and ended up being my favorite. From the flavor, texture, temperature, and ingredients in the dishes. I had also order the Korean chili fried chicken and it was good but a little too sweet for my liking as a savory girl. The batter was light and crispy and I'm glad I gave it a go. I definitely recommend to those who like a sweet and slightly savory bite. As for the Tteokbokki, I loved the chewiness of the rice cakes and they were perfectly soft. They definitely did not skimp out on the cheese (which was an extra charge to add on). Definitely perfect for cheese lovers! Your meal also comes with a complimentary iced plum tea which was so perfect to end out our meal. It was light, perfectly sweet and refreshing. I will definitely come by again & share with all my friends and family.

My family and I were here today for dinner and had a wonderful experience! We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us immediately. The place was busy and there were a lot of happy people eating. We ordered kimchi pancake for appetizer, my kids ordered the chicken teriyaki and I ordered the Doma Dosirak (fish katsu and beef bulgogi). The banchan (little dishes) were also excellent and service was impeccable. The waiter came by often to refill our small dishes and I was warmly surprised by the delicious flavors. At the end they even gave us plum tea as an extra special treat! Thank you for an amazing experience

The family and I have found a new Korean place that's close to where we live! We've always passed by, but this is the first time we're actually dining in. And Doma did not disappoint... The place is nice and clean. Very nicely decorated. The thing that caught my eye the most were the window blinds. It lent light into the place and made the feeling more comfortable. The staff were helpful and attentive. They were all just shuffling back and forth, delivering drinks or the banchan, or the fare you ordered. The staff were always seeing the refills or questions you may have about the menu. And the taste of our orders were uniquely great! I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and it was not overly sweet as others were. It was just right... The price is just right for the lunch menu. I suppose the higher priced items are the food you share around. But the food my family and I ordered were already quite a lot. Good food and a hefty serving... You should try them out when you're in the area. They are highly recommended!

Korean Pancake Bossam Kimchi Jjigae Ddukguk

While the initial wait for a party of two was a bit long, the experience was well worth it. Once seated, the staff was incredibly attentive and worked diligently to ensure we were served efficiently. They checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed, from water refills to extra side dishes. The food was the highlight of the night. I'm a big fan of kimchi jjigae, and theirs was particularly delicious. They generously portioned out the protein and kimchi, and the broth was rich in flavor. My partner tried their ddukguk for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion. It was much larger than the soups we usually find elsewhere. We also loved the kimchi pancake, which was crispy and packed with flavor, and the bossam. It was also my partner's first time having bossam, and he really enjoyed being able to customize each bite with the various toppings provided by the restaurant. Considering the generous portions and the high quality of their dishes, we found the pricing to be fair. However, it can be a bit pricey as most of their foods are portioned and priced to accommodate bigger parties, but it is definitely worth it for the experience of an authentic and fulfilling meal!

One of the few Korean spots I have visited so far in Sac and this one hits the spot. Service follow ups were frequent and attentive. Refills on Ban Chan sides were quick and painless. Portions on meats and main dishes did not disappoint. Clean up of dining areas and observed frequently right after customer departure kept the area neat and inviting. As for food, a large variety of ban chan sides come with the meal and all were well made. The beef bulgogi was tender and flavorful, seafood tofu soup stayed hot with silky soybean texture and the mackerel great. I also like the free hot barley tea! Overall, I definitely will return again to try their other items.

They are extremely nice, professional, and polite here. Very inviting, like entering a family's home, and kitchen. There is free plum tea while waiting, delicious! Small quaint restaurant, clean, ample parking, great service! The food here is absolutely !! The tofu bimbibop is Devine!! The flavors and precision that go into making every part of it, is so good. I finsihed it all! The korean pancake is also tasty, something I could probably eat everyday!! My fiancé loved his Bulgogi. The aromas that filled the air while they cook, is absolutely remarkable. Love this place. Highly recommend!!

I was craving Bibimbap and kimchee so badly while we were passing through Sacramento after eating burgers and pizza all weekend. It must have been fate because I found THE MOST incredible, authentic, Korean spot ever in an unassuming strip mall after hopping on Yelp to find Doma. The portions are generous, the prices are even more generous (lunch specials for the win!), and the quality is top notch. I loved all the banchans that were given to us as well. The environment is humble and hole-in-the-wall ish (but still clean!) and the staff are very polite :)

We used to go here when the restaurant had different name and we liked it. So, we want to try it as it still serves same menu. At the end of our meal, they gave us a small cup of tea that was refreshing. - bulgogi: the bulgogi was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. The beef was tender and sweet. - tofu soup combo (white - no spicy at all): it was tasty and savory. The broth was warm and good. Hi-ya! Service and food quality were excellent. We had a little of everything as we had a big party and nobody had any complaints. All the stews and dishes were really good and the side dishes (marinated crab and fish) and kimchi and broccoli was so fresh and good). The place is actually next to a spa and so you may see folks in relaxed clothes with slippers in an offshoot area, but the main dining area was so clean. Bathrooms were clean and just a good experience. The pricing is on the higher side, but for good quality and service can't complain. We ordered the shaved ice desert at the end and it was a great highlight. The meal was quiet because everybody was just eating and enjoying. Top notch and 5 stars.

We ordered a whole combo meal (pork bulgogi with beef soup), salmon teriyaki, and two appitizers. Maybe too much for two people, but I was so glad I did it. Each sauce went well with the fried food, mandu was surprisingly(!) good, and veggies were cooked just right...I loved the pumpkin and carrot especially for the softness and subtle sweetness. I could finish a whole bowl of rice with just banchan, but had to hold myself for the main dishes: solid, delicious salmon fillet with teriyaki sauce (that's not too sweet or too salty) and savory bulgogi with just the right kind of kick that doesn't overwhelm you (sorry I ate the bulgogi and soup too fast and I forgot to take good pics) Attentive staff, filling meal, delicious banchan, homey, relaxing atmosphere... this reminds me of a good jipbop (home cooked meal). I will definitely come back to try their other dishes and lunch specials during Mon-Fri times. read more

Rancho Cordova has a true Korean restaurant gem here. We got the kimchi pancake 10/10, black bean noodles 10/10, tofu kimchi soup 10/10, what else?! Having eaten at Korean restaurants from across California from Oakland to K-town LA, I thought this restaurant was extremely mid. I ordered the spicy tofu soup, I was really disappointed by how bland it was and how little tofu was actually in the soup. The complimentary kimchi also tasted like they bought it from the grocery store the same day it was packaged. I would not eat here again and would instead eat at the many nearby Korean restaurants. read more

this photo was taken after we already started eating so we had combined the mandu and seafood onto one plate - there we so many wonderful side dishes (banchan) we wanted to create more space for more large dishes! - seafood pancake and mandu (aka potstickers) were both amazingly crispy and flavorful - bossam (in the center of the photo) was truly spectacular and cooked to perfection. Ssamjang and another shrimp topping was provided to eat with it, and those were wonderful as well! - cold noodles (naengmyeon) was amazing!! really hit the spot with the heat in Sacramento - we got tteokbokki with ramen and cheese, the rice cakes were cooked to the best chewiness and it wasn't too spicy but spicy enough for me! service was quick and very attentive, highly recommend stopping by if you're craving some solid Korean food read more

Having lived in the Bay and spent a lot of time in LA's Koreatown, this is one of the best spots for authentic Korean food in the Sacramento area. Not only that but the staff and service is awesome. The banchan (side dishes) were very good and we got refills on any one we wanted. We got the haemul jeongol (seafood hotpot) and the haemul pajeon (seafood pancake)- very generous portions and a lot of fresh seafood for a reasonable price. Huge bonus that this is a local family owned restaurant. Doma will for sure be my go to Korean food spot from now on. read more

Don't sleep on this gem! I've been passing this place everyday and finally stopped in during their lunch hour. The place is small, but very clean and the staff are very attentive and friendly. The FOOD- My experience with Korean food has largely been at those BBQ places and this place changed the game for me. I don't have to cook anything, I don't have to worry about my sleeves catching on fire and I don't have to wait for space on the burner for my piece of meat. Hubs got the Bulgogi (16.99) on a hot cast iron plate and he said it kept his meat hot throughout the meal. It was delicious! I got the Bibimbap ($15.99) with beef which is now my new favorite Korean dish. The veggies were fresh, the beef was flavorful and everything mixed together with the sweet hot sauce at the table was awesome! The 5 banchan side dishes that were included were so fresh and tasty. I usually ignore them at other Korean places but I was glad to give them a try. They tasted more fresh than I had eaten before, my previous experiences at other restaurants the same dishes tasted like they had came straight out of a jar. My son got the pork ton katsu ($15.99) which was fried perfectly, was so so good (I'm ordering that next time) and my daughter got the jjanjang myeon (black bean sauce noodles, $9.99) and she loved it. Needless to say, we cleaned our plates. At the end of the meal, our server brought complimentary plum tea, which was a a nice end to a fantastic meal. We all decided that this is going to be our new neighborhood spot. I'm writing this the next day and I already asked my daughter if she wants to go there for round two! read more

Gosh, this restaurant may have the best jjajangmyun in Sacramento! Same with nangmyun! The nangmyun reminds me of the late Songpa Restaurant. With them in mind, we look forward to their soups when it is less than 108° out! The family was attentive and kind during such tough working conditions (see high heat). Awesome Korean restaurant that was well worth the money. They provided delicious side dishes on top of the large portions. I had gotten the kimchi fried rice, hot stone Bimbap, and doobu kimchi. All of those dishes were so savory and worth my money. The plum tea they provided at the end was refreshing and a nice way to end the dinner. read more

Doma is one of the newer small Korean businesses that just opened up and I love it! They have some of the better deals for lunch and they also have a variety of options as well. My go to is the BBQ: Galbi, Bulgogi, and Daeji Bulgogi I also love their Tteokbokki with the ramen and cheese added to it as well. The service is always great whenever I come. I look forward to coming back again. It is def one of my go to's for traditional Korean food. read more

my first one coming here, and it was really good. They gave a complimentary plum tea at the end which was delicious. The food was very good, it reminded me of when I went to Korea. And on top of it they were so friendly. They made the experience better. They also have a lunch special if you go during lunch hours. We had a lunch amazing experience at Doma! They happened to have a few big parties eating but they were super accommodating and we only had a small wait to be seated despite the busy service. We also had someone with a shellfish allergy, and the waiter was extremely attentive in ensuring there was no cross contamination. I have never had a server as careful and considerate. The food was also great and the portions are hearty - we ordered the kimchi pancake, potato pancake, and jajangmyeon. The kimchi pancake is flavorful and perfectly cooked to be soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. If you're looking for something more plain in flavor but still tasty, the potato pancake was also delicious. Our favorite banchans were the fish cakes, cucumbers, and radishes. Lastly, they were sweet enough to give us plum tea on the house as we were leaving and even put them into to-go cups for us since we were in a rush. We all highly recommend the plum tea, it was the perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, the food was great, the service was excellent, and we had an awesome time at lunch :) read more

My husband and I have been searching for our go-to Korean restaurant and found it with Doma Korean. Last weekend, we were at another Korean restaurant and it was a total miss. The food was not fresh and my galitang did not come with rice! We wanted a redo and so glad we came across Doma Korean. Their ban chan is delicious! This is going to be one of my go-to spots for Korean food now. I was originally sad when i heard Hankook was closing, but this place is just as good. The service is amazing and all the staff are friendly. The ambience is very homie and comforting. The food is really good as well as the portion sizes. The prices you can't beat as they have good combo deals and lunch specials during the week. I highly recommend trying this place out! read more

Really good food and all of the sides were so good we had to get a refill. The hospitality and service were great, and the food also tasted amazing. We had bulgolgi, cold mixed noodles, and the seafood pancake all of which I'd recommend. We also forgot our got water to warm up our baby bottle, but they were nice to boil us some water read more

We ordered the Beef Bulgagoli Hot Pot and pot stickers. The Hot Pot fed 3 adults and we had an extra bowl as leftovers. The Pot stickers are amazing, flavor & crunchy. We will definitely be returning to enjoy family style Hot Pot. We were honored to meet the chef & owners. Phenomenal individuals along with our host. He was patient and explained their dishes. The food here was so good! This is a lovely family-owned restaurant with great service and a cute ambiance. The service was awesome and super quick as well. My favorite dishes were the bibimbap (beef) and the bossam. The bibimbap had so much flavor and the ingredients were super fresh, and the sauce might have been my favorite that I have ever tried. The bossam was awesome as well! The meat was tender and juicy and they were super generous with portions of the sides and the meat. The sauce that it came with was super flavorful as well! Will definitely be back and will be recommending this to my friends! read more

If I had to nitpick, the beef in my soup was a bit tough, but the flavor was excellent overall. Service was great! They even chill the little glasses for makgeolli for you. The lady helping us and the waiter were both pleasant, and I saw another lady who I think might have been the manager coming out to discuss recipes some of the other diners which was very cool.

I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.

Came here a few times with friends and family. The wait staff is always 10/10. So kind, friendly, helpful. We are always greeted by everyone when we walk in. I've gone to a few restaurants with rude or absent wait staff, but Doma definitely has the best service! They came by to refill waters, check on food status, ask us feedback, and offered to refill banchan (side dishes) too! A couple times, they even doubled back because they thought we were asking for something. Thank you for being so attentive. Food was amazing, as always! We ordered a few appetizers, bulgogi (a must), and I tried out their salmon teriyaki. I especially enjoy their deep fried mandu (pork dumplings) and have ordered it 2-3x now. The texture is crispy, the bite has the perfect amount of chew, and the taste is so savory. Their dipping sauce is so tasty too. Their banchan is always top notch. The seasoning, the texture, everything is perfect. I like them all, but my favorite are the broccoli, bean sprouts, and kimchi of course! I've been here a few times when it was busy, but I try and stagger my arrival to take advantage of the pre-dinner rush, where I can sit in a quieter, calmer environment. If you're on the hunt for authentic Korean cuisine, this is *the* place to be! The side dishes here are *incredible*--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to every main dish. The highlight, however, is the seafood soft tofu soup. It's hands-down the best I've had outside of SeoulZip. The soup has just the right balance of flavors and a beautiful texture, from the silky tofu to the fresh seafood. It's *so* much better than any other soft tofu soup I've had locally, and trust me, I've tried all of them. But wait--let's talk about the raw crab. It's fresh, zesty, and not overly sweet or fishy like some of the local competition. It tastes like it was just caught, making every bite burst with natural, clean flavors. The space itself is small and intimate, which adds to the charm, but it can get pretty busy. Be prepared to either come early or wait for a table, as it's definitely a popular spot. This small, family-owned Korean restaurant is a true hidden gem. My boyfriend and I stopped by for an early dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. We started by sharing the seafood pancake, which was crispy on the outside and filled with plenty of seafood--definitely a great start. I ordered the bibimbap, while my boyfriend went with the bulgogi. The banchan was decent, offering a nice variety, though we did notice the portion size of the bulgogi was smaller compared to what we've had at other Korean BBQ spots. However, the flavor more than made up for it--big, bold, and delicious. It's also worth noting that the service was quick, probably because there were only two other tables around us at the time. The ambiance is simple and homey, making it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. And since it's conveniently located right down the street from us, we'll definitely be back! read more

Doma is hands down amazing! It's a cozy, family-owned Korean restaurant in Sacramento, and the owners are so sweet--really makes you feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the lunch specials were a great deal. Every dish was flavorful and authentic, and you could tell they put a lot of care into everything they serve. The sides and meat tasted really fresh, and everything was perfectly seasoned. I ordered the hot stone steak bibimbap and really enjoyed it. It arrived piping hot, which made the rice nicely crispy at the bottom, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood stone bibimbap and was a bit disappointed with the seafood portion. The shrimp and mussels were quite small, which made the dish feel a little underwhelming compared to the steak version. That said, we still enjoyed our meal overall. I stopped in here for lunch after reading good reviews about this restaurant. The server brought out an array of beautifully colored side dishes that were delicious and tasted fresh. They offer unlimited refills, so I ended up getting more. I ordered the Tteokbokki, and my friend got the cold noodles, which she said were very good. The Tteokbokki was delicious and had the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. The staff were attentive and even gave me a plum iced tea on the house. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

We've been coming to this Korean restaurant pretty much twice a week, and we're thrilled about the new owner! Although the previous owner retired, the food is still amazing. The quality and flavors haven't changed a bit. My favorite dish is the spinach, and it's just as delicious as ever. Looking forward to many more visits! read more
