Amazing donuts! A great fun stop while in Estes. A little confusing to find but it's inside the gas station!

Arose early, watched sunrise over the mountains and thought "it can't get better than this", when my wife said "drive me to Donut Haus". This became a morning trip to heaven; got a dozen of the best donuts ever; all were good; but the blueberry donut was best we'd ever had....the kids kept talking about the slight crunch under the glazing. Seriously, their glazed is better than Krispy Kreme (back east) and their blueberry is better than Dunkin Donuts....if you can only buy donuts one more time in your life....get them here! Plus, the view is an added plus to any visit. read more

These donuts are outstanding. The place is a tiny shop with friendly workers and a nice variety of ringed wonders. I bought a few extra just in case I get hungry later, that's how tasty they are. We got a half dozen donuts and a half gallon of milk for 10 dollars; pretty good deal. If you're in Estes Park and want a donut, you don't need to search anywhere else. read more

They make the best Apple Fritters I've ever eaten! I highly recommend the Donut Haus.

I'm always skeptical when the only donut place in town (especially a resort town) has good reviews. Sometimes if there's no competition or if people are happy on vacation of course they're going to say it's good. So even though I was on vacation and could be biased, I have to say I approve! Donut Haus is legit! We stopped in on a Friday morning. There wasn't a line but some of the flavors were already sold out. No worries though because we got applesauce donuts and a raspberry fritter, which is apparently the baker's choice over apple. The applesauce donuts were a cake donut. They were so soft and fluffy with just the right amount of apple and spice. Yum yum yum. The fritter was delicious too. The raspberry was a unique twist and it was a good one. One tip: park on the side because the parking lot is tiny and the intersection is a little funky. Donut Haus is definitely worth a visit and as they say - you deserve a donut! read more

Never is a visit to Estes Park complete without a stop at Donut Haus. It's become a ritual to depart from our hotel early in the morning, on foot, for downtown. My family and I grab a cup of Joe at Kind Coffee, and head to Donut Haus for a doughnut breakfast. Their buttermilk donuts are out of this world; to me, their shining product. They offer the typical doughnut varieties as well. They have a fridge stocked with drinks, including my go-to: chocolate milk. The shop's front space is incredibly small, often with a line of people overflowing beyond the entrance door. Also, be prepared to eat standing or to order your items to go; there is a bench or two outside and no seating inside. Come early, as the selection diminishes rapidly throughout the early morning... and for good reason! Support this iconic Estes Park establishment. read more

TL;DR - Good donuts. Terrible coffee. A small little shack on the corner across the street from the Colorado Mountain School. They've got a small interior space with the vast majority of the building being dedicated to the kitchen (how it should be). Not a massive selection of donuts but many staples. Different types of standard glazed with varying toppings. Two types of fritters that day (raspberry and apple). Solid donuts. Nothing super creative or "out there" but good donuts. Their coffee is absolutely abysmal. Basically really brown colored water. Even ample creamer and sugar wasn't enough to make it passable. read more

Fresh and delicious! The donuts and pastries are flavorful and a treat for the taste buds. They also catered lunch for our raft trip. It was a make your own deli sandwich spread with choices of three meats, three cheeses, fresh rolls and ending with chocolate chip bars. More than enough deliciousness for everyone. read more

This place is great! Tiny hole in the wall, I wish they were 24/7! I tried a couple donuts while in Estes. The raspberry fritter was by far the best (I'm a fritter guy to begin with so I may be a bit biased). The picture is the cheesecake donut which was good, but no as good as some of the others! Okay, I had to write this review. These are the best donuts I have ever had. I mean these are the real deal. my mouth is watering as I type...mmmmmmmmmm. (I should admit, for the record, that I have only actually sampled one donut: the raspberry fritter. I fell in love and couldn't bring myself to try anything else!) BUT... There is a slight problem with the Donut Haus. IT is in Estes Park. And I am not. (But I'm getting closer!) It would be a slight exaggeration to say that I moved to Colorado just to enjoy these donuts. My wife and I stayed at a B & B while vacationing in Colorado in June. We stopped into the Donut Haus on our first morning in Estes and ended up returning each and every morning after that. This donut is quite possibly the best donut I've ever had. I had the cinnamon sugar sprinkle buttermilk donut and it practically melts in your mouth! I will probably dream about this donut for the rest of my vacation in Colorado and I really wish I bought more for the rest of my road trip. The shop is teeny tiny and can fill up fast. You can always tell a good donut bakery from a GREAT donut bakery by their classic, glazed donuts. Picked up a few glazed, one chocolate covered, and one blueberry donut one Sunday morning in Estes Park. Their classic glazed was just the right amount of sweet and the perfect texture. Their chocolate covered was equally delicious. Last but certainly not least, the blueberry donut was one of the best I've had in recent memory. It was a cake-like texture and the flavor was spot-on. Didn't think that any donut shop would ever top Mr. D's in La Crosse, WI, but the Donut Haus is a true gem. This extremely tiny (a counter and room for 8-10 people to stand) donut shop is chock full of homemade and tasty donuts. The key is that there's s huge variety, and the quality is superb (most people have experienced lousy gas station donuts, or bland supermarket donuts). My parents have been coming here since before I was born. It's been a staple of my childhood and summers in Estes Park and I highly recommend it to everyone. I've never had a bad pastry here. Literally everything is delicious. Definitely come in for the donuts but be aware they also bake bread! My favorite is the cinnamon bread which is one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten. We have it for toast every morning in Estes. It's a tradition. All of the people who work at this lovely little donut shop are also great. I've never had a bad experience. They're all wonderful. They had a HUGE amount of donuts made up and they have MANY MANY different kinds. Some of which I had never even seen before!! They know how to handle the lines out the door and were very fast and efficient. We got our donuts quick and were on our way. THEY WERE VERY GOOD!! I've recently departed from RMNP and Estes park but this place will always hold a special and dear place in my heart. As a fitness fanatic and frequently over indulging in the delicious this place would get 10 stars from me. After day three the staff recognized me from the stream of tourists and always made sure to take care of me! The donuts here are amazing and welcomed with a splendid and eye opening cup of coffee. You can shoot a gaze into the kitchen which is always kept, hustle and bustle, and open to the public which I appreciate.
