They put dry ice inside and then pour water into it, making it look like the elephant is blowing smoke out of its trunk. My daughter was completely mesmerized. Watching her reaction was worth the visit all by itself. What I loved most was that it wasn't just a gimmick. The drink was actually good, and the elephant made such a cute keepsake afterward. It felt like getting both a treat and a souvenir. The café itself had a fun atmosphere, and it was one of those places that felt a little different from your typical coffee or tea stop. Macarons $2.95 each - Standard stuff. I got a Thai coconut cream and this is a flavor I haven't seen before and recommend trying it! In summary, highly recommend trying this place. Wushiland Boba is my new favorite spot for boba in Sac!…read more I found out about it from a recent Feed Mei Mei YouTube video, and of course I had to check it out asap. I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible. Prices are standard, and honestly for the amount of tea you get, it's very worth.

The theme is very colors of a bee; black and yellow. There's a long bench with cushions so it's a good place to sip and chill, and people come here to study it seems. Ive been here a few times mainly on a Saturday and all 3x it's been busy. They have 2 kiosks you can order from, or you can order from a human. Wushiland choose a good area of Sac to post up shop because it's the currently the only boba drink shop (for now) near Hollywood Park/Land Park and very close to Sac City College. They're located in the corner of a strip mall type plaza. And parking isn't too bad. Overall, good drinks for a reasonable price and service is decent. They have a fun logo, too. I would definitely come back here to try more of their drinks!

I was craving for donuts after an errand and rewarded myself. The place had fresh delicious donuts. It was still warm when I brought it home. The donuts wasn't loaded with tons of sugar. Their apple fritters had fresh apples and wasn't too sweet. I got the fancy dozen around $19. Their fancy donuts are bigger than the rest of the donuts and cost more for a dozen, but despite that its cheaper compared to the donut shops near my house and taste is better. The only downside is that it's too far away from my house. Overall, their donuts had a good amount of sweetness and the lady who served me was nice and threw in free donut holes. I'll be back when I'm in the area to try the other donuts. read more

Always one of my favorite places to get donuts. It always seems to be a place where people can meet…read moreup and catch up on old times. But today my experience was nothing of that. I came in and purchased 2 cups of coffee set up a table and two chairs. I sat and visited with a long time friend and also family member. We were sitting in our childhood stomping grounds. Time most definitely got away from us and about two hours into our visit the woman working behind the counter decided to clean one side of the dining area. We were the only two people inside sitting and visiting. She began to move the coffee prep bar towards us to clean behind it. I asked her if she needed us to move so she can clean the side and she just copped an attitude immediately with me acting like I was really putting her out of her way. Stopped what she was doing and went in the back. I don't know what her problem was we were paying customers at that point and from the neighborhood. It's a place I come too often, and I always leave a generous tip and have also been a part of the GoFundMe for the various reasons. I really felt like I didn't matter. Maybe they have the wrong person working there in the afternoon. At about 12 o'clock she came to me and said she was gonna close the doors in 10 minutes. Not really sure what that meant except that we only had 10 more minutes to visit and needed to leave. They don't close till 5 o'clock so why would she close the doors just afternoon?

They are moist and the apple fritter has a nice crunch. My son loves the chocolate twist or anything with sprinkles. It's located a few blocks away from Tahoe park. My gal and I got a couple dozen donuts and donut holes. Soft, fresh and tasty. Also got a couple Peets coffee. The young lady who helped us said she's only been working there a couple of days, but her patience and customer service were outstanding. We will be back. They earned and deserve this 5 star rating, plus we're gonna tell everyone we know about this place. Politeness and customer service are getting rare these days You folks are awesome, Thank You.

Plus, the customer area is generally clean and is well decorated, with the menu signs still being lit up for better viewing. I first found Sunshine Donuts because it's conveniently located across from my doctor's office, and ever since then, I've been completely spoiled. Today I stopped by before picking up my kids from school, and instead of getting one dozen donut holes like a reasonable person, I bought two dozen because I already knew exactly what I was there for. These donut holes are hands down the best I've ever had. They're soft, fresh, and practically melt in your mouth. I've tried donut holes from plenty of places over the years, and nothing compares. The funny part is that I make donuts every day at work, so I know a good donut when I taste one. Sunshine Donuts has officially ruined me because now every other donut hole has to compete with these. The shop itself is adorable. It's small, cozy, and welcoming, with a few seats inside if you want to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the staff could not have been friendlier. When one of the ladies saw me taking pictures, she excitedly grabbed their award plaque so I could get a photo of it too. That little moment perfectly summed up the atmosphere here. They were proud of what they do, and honestly, they should be. Beyond the donut holes, they also have a great selection of donuts, muffins, scones, pastries, and drinks. I fully admit I keep getting distracted by the donut holes and haven't made it to the rest of the menu yet, but that's a "me" problem, not theirs. If you're looking for fancy, complicated pastries, there are plenty of places for that. If you're looking for a local donut shop that feels warm, welcoming, and serves some of the most addictive donut holes imaginable, Sunshine Donuts is absolutely worth the stop. Now if you'll excuse me, I have 24 donut holes and two children waiting for me, and I'm pretty sure none of us have the self-control necessary to make those donut holes last until tomorrow!
