Came in twice in 1 morning. The first time we walked in the line was super long. I just wanted to see what they had in the case, but it was hard to even look with the people waiting in line. Sadly, at that time, they were out of donut holes. The wait was so long, we decided to leave. After we grabbed a burrito next door, we decided to come back in to check out what was left. We walked in and there was only a couple in line. COOL, gave me time to actually look at what were in the cases. We ordered a dozen donut holes for $2.25. The set up of the donut place is weird too. You walk in and basically you better know what you want or else you'll hold up the line. Anyway ,we went in on a Saturday morning and needless to say the place was busy..but our order came out soon so no complaints. The people their were so nice and genuine , I felt. We ordered a bunch of different donuts to try, bagels with jalapeno cream cheese and coffee. They do not have a cappuccino machine, just FYI, I think it is great ...just adds to the charm of the place. I once brought a couple dozen from another donut place when I attended a family gathering ( only because I was running late and it was convenient for me). I see a doughnut shop took over a previously owned Chinese restaurant in the area. As my coworkers would say before a R&D meeting with treats: "DOUGHNUT TIME TIME!!!" $5.50 for half dozen and $10 for a full dozen. A little more pricier than most places but you are paying the 4S Ranch premium. Little note, you can choose among doughnuts AND bagels. One little bone to pick....NO LOX! After watching a Bizarre Foods episode on how lox is made in NYC, I was craving. I feel sooo unsatisfied. The toasted asiago bagel was still delicious. Now these doughnuts (or is it "donuts"?). How can one go wrong with all these sugary gooddies? Some lesser seen donuts available here are red velvet and bacon maple bars. Had to get at least one of each. Of course these donuts are delicious when fresh, however, what makes even better donuts is how they can taste the day after. Suffice to say, they still keep their integrity the next day. It's hard to make a bad donut, but Donut Touch makes an especially good donut! I didn't understand how one donut could be better than the rest - but these ones really are. I've had the all the donut hole flavors, and I have to say the cake donuts are a weakness of mine. They're crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside! Both the chocolate and regular ones are good - but chocolate is a personal favorite. They always have a large selection in the mornings, and the employees seem happy to be there. Line (if any) moves quickly, and donuts are being freshly made in the back. I think it's important to note I haven't tried anything but the donuts, but I think that's what you should come here for! Wow....amazing variety of donuts. I ended up getting a dozen for a work meeting & they didn't eat them so we got to try them. Each one I tried I loved, cake ones are my favorite, the other are my son's favorite. They have red velvet, blueberry (my fav), maple bar with a slice of bacon on top, maple/chocolate swirl, chocolate with reeses on top & that is just naming a few of the different donuts they have there. They also have breakfast sandwiches available on bagels or croissants. You can wash that down with coffee, milk or these special smoothies they make out of some sort of tea & fruit. I can't really explain them well so I will leave that to another Yelper. I did try one & for me personally it was too sugary. On to lunch....they have my favorite deli meat Boars Head. I wanted to get a sandwich for lunch but they didn't have the bread yet, now I could have been annoyed but to me this just tells me everything is FRESH & I knew when I walked in & saw the owner making new & fresh donuts to replenish the stock in the back. You can see him working away back there. So anyway, he offered to make me a sandwich on a bagel or croissant so I ordered the California Dreamin on a croissant & it was just as delicious as each donut we tried. We tried the donuts over the next 3 days and they still tasted great, we just warmes them in the microwave for about 10 seconds. Customer service was great, only 2 people working. What seemed to be the owner in the back, I know there are a few other Donut Touch shops but this one is new & a guy up front. The shop is VERY small, I can see how it would get backed up when he was taking care of me people came in and had to wait to if you are in a hurry you may get frustrated because I don't see a sense of urgency with them, I think they take their time with each customer & in making sandwiches, etc. I will be a repeat customer for sure. It isn't right around the corner from my house but isn't far either, I will definitely make special trips there for the food. read more

The interior store layout if a bit crowded especially on the weekends when the line extends out the door! Stopped in for Fathers Day and jumped in line just outside the front door. Luckily the line moves pretty fast. The door area gets congested because the line snakes around and then if you want to fill your coffee cup you have to cut through the line again to get to the coffee station. They really should have 2 doors at opposite ends of the store. I've docked a star because prices seem a bit on the high side. 99 cent for a donut is fine but the breakfast bagels and sandwiches seem a tad high. Tried the Bacon topped maple bar...it was just ok. The best by far for the consensus of the group is just your standard glazed twists...and they are BIG! Love that! A dozen donut here is 10.00 and $5.50 for half a dozen. Their blueberry donut is good too, but if I were to get a dozen donut, I rather go to the donut place in Mira Mesa (next to Lucky Seafood) where their dozen is only 5.80 - almost 5 dollars cheaper! butt donut touch is so close by that I always end up here when I need to pick something up before work and get too lazy to drive anywhere else. I came late in the day and was a little bummed out that they only had one chocolate chip left, but I took the last one (plus some poppy seed bagels) and left happy. Even though I didn't get any, the donut selection was impressive and creative. I was pretty tempted to try one (which says a lot, because sweets do NOT do it for me) but ultimately decided to just stick with my bagels and try a donut another time. I feel like a jerk for not posting a review sooner. Randomly when I feel like being nice, I order a few breakfast sandwiches, and take it to work for the guys I work with. They're delicious. The croissant sandwiches are a bit greasy and granted, because it's a croissant, it's messy. The bagel is where it's at! Trust me. Honestly, it's when I'm wanting one of their bagel sandwich and I don't want to be rude and show up at work with a sandwich just for me. Plus the guys I work with love the sandwiches too. Extremely rude staff. Came here for donuts at 1:15pm on a weekday and the door was locked. There sign states they were closed at 4pm. I could visibly see a girl at the register not more than 12 feet from the glass door so I knocked. She literally looked at me and then walked away. I then saw another male staff member further inside so I knocked again to get his attention to confirm if they were closed. Both of them look at each other and the girl walks away to the back without even acknowledging us. Finally, the male staff member proceeds to say they were closed at 1pm even though their sign states otherwise. Extremely poor customer service. So I love donuts. Good donuts. I've had I believe donuts from every donut shop in San Diego at some point. Everyone raves about VG donuts but I would say that Donut touch is my favorite shop around. I've tried pretty much everyone they have. They make pretty standard flavors. So if you are into the crazy flavors this place is more traditional. But seriously their donuts are spectacular. And their prices are great. This is what my girls always beg me to bring in for their bday celebration at school. Sundays the best day though cause they make cinnamon buns that day.
