The food here was very fresh and had good flavor. It is in no way real Mexican flavors though. I had the three Taco plate. The crispy chicken taco was a little on the greasy side but not so much that I didn't enjoy it still. The Al Cabon steak taco had little steak flavor but the mahi mahi taco was enjoyable. My daughter had the kid chicken burrito. This was nothing but a chicken quesadilla rolled up to look like a burrito. No rice, no beans or veggies in it, just some grilled chicken and some cheese. Thank goodness it came with a side garnish of lettuce to pack in there and the pico de gallo salsa from the salsa bar made it at least resemble a burrito afterwards. The service is friendly and the beer selection is very good. Overall I am happy that the place opened. Very spacious and comfortable inside and outdoor seating. They have free wifi too. In case that's important for you. The salads looked really big and fresh so I know that will make my wife happy. Definitely a return trip. But just know what you are getting doesn't really have much taste profile that you would hope for in Mexican food but you will enjoy the eats. I look forward to trying more off the menu. read more

Service is horrible. We were here at 6.30 pm with two kids on Sunday evening. We got our food at 7.30 pm and when we asked about our order and we were told your order is the second ticket. People who arrived after us were served and we still had to wait for our order. Kids were really getting restless. I know for sure I am not going back. So I ordered the fish tacos and rice/beans. The beans were like dry dirt, more like smashed old beans, dry, not refried. The tacos had an itty bitty piece of fish and two cups of onions and cabbage. I was excited to try this place out, we need better restaurant options in SR. This was so, so. Prices are high for food not that impressive. Took our family of 8 about 2 weeks ago.Too many greens on the tacos. They also messed up my order of fish tacos and by the time I received my order, "they were out of fish". Also ordered 3 cheese enchiladas ala carte and was $12.00 - that they ended up serving with beans. The salsa bar had no limes. The line for self serve drinks long and time consuming. The meat orders were tasty, but for the cost and since this is an order and serve yourself place I think it might be good for a burrito to go, or for salads. read more

What a huge disappointment! I ordered Bobby's Crispy Tacos today for lunch and after digging through a mound of lettuce looking for some of the great looking chicken I saw grilling when I first came in, I found about a tablespoon of mushy shredded chicken, what a rip-off!!. This is second time here. First time food was served cold. This time food was served hot as it should be. Food tastes good. Portions are appropriate. Only real complaint is that the restaurant's interior temperature is cool to cold. Maybe 66degrees. Perfect for the cooks, etc., but cool for customers. Not only ones so noting. Ordered 3 burritos, 1 enchilda platter and a side of guacumole and chips at 2:40pm. 35 minutes later, the to-go order was ready, but was incorrect (missing guacamole and got a burrito instead of the enchilda). While I sat there watching the kitchen staff prepare dish after dish, I witnessed an employee pour the liquid from a large metal container that had raw chicken, into a full trash receptacle immediately adjacent to the taco prep station, and yes, there was splatter. OMG!!! I had the crunchy tacos, the chicken ones are soooo good, way better than the beef so get the chicken. I went here yesterday to check it out as I was super reluctant because I'm a food snob and I thought I wouldn't like it because it isn't real authentic Mexican food. I travel internationally, so I am fully aware of what good food is. I surprised at how busy and popular it is already only being open a week. The food at Dos Coyotes is excellent! You can't beat the this quality of food for the price...such a great value. The burritos are stuffed with meat (not over-filled with rice like other places). The steak is seasoned very well and is so tender and juicy. The salsa bar has a wide selection from very spicy (the habenero is my favorite) to mild tomatillo. Crowded at lunch time and noisy. I had to take my lunch outside and wait for a seat. I would not go at peak dinner times on weekends either. It is order at the counter and then go find a seat and wait for it to be delivered to your table. Hopefully you get it quick otherwise it will be cold! The first time I ate at this restaurant it was in Davis and awesome. Good food, decent prices and good service. I've been to the location in San Ramon twice and both times the food was good but not the service. So so employees who aren't very helpful, don't seem to know the menu and you have to ask for things multiple times. They've only been open a couple of months so we'll try again and hope they work the kinks out as employees gain more experience. read more

I used to always get a burrito (rice and bean or shrimp) but lately I've branched out and every new item I've tried is fantastic. It's also fast since you order at the counter and then find a seat. My husband got a gift certificate so off we went one day. I ordered a salad with chicken, blue cheese and fixings. I had one speck of blue cheese. My husband wasn't a fan of the place at all. It lacked a little flavor he said. They did make his burrito to order as he doesn't like sour cream or onions. We didn't try the margaritas. This is our first and last time here. We ordered 3 meals and everyone of them was wrong. We ordered a burrito with no sour cream. It came with sour cream. We ordered a soft taco with chicken and it came without chicken. We ordered cheese enchiladas. I can't eat onion because it makes me sick. I was assured there was no onion in anything that came with the enchiladas. We stressed that there couldn't even be onion on the plate. Again the cashier sad there wasn't onion in anything I ordered. Turns out there are onions in the enchilada sauces, onions in the rice, onions in the beans. When they tried to figure out what they had that didn't have onions all they could come up with was to grill a tortilla with cheese like a basic quesadilla with no sides. I politely declined and they pleasantly refunded the price of my enchiladas. Most Mexican places can at least make a burrito with beans, cheese and meat that I can eat. read more
