I went here for a friends birthday last week or the week before. My friend and her family really liked this restaurant, however it was my first time. The server I think was newer, but very personable, helpful and friendly. She helped me choose the Bolognese and I loved it! I also got the butterscotch cake, dessert and was very excited about this. I have a sweet tooth and love desserts...however, when I tried this, I did not taste butterscotch at all, but more of a burnt caramelized-like taste that was not pleasant. We then ordered the peanut butter brookie to try, though I'm not fond of peanut butter desserts. It was just as I expected, thick and rich. For those who enjoy a peanut butter dessert, they'll probably love this. Someone else at the table ordered the lemon meringue dessert and that one was OK but had, the blackberry seeds in the purée that get stuck in your teeth, which I'm not a fan of. Overall, I was really excited about the desserts here thinking the dessert menu looks so good but after trying all three, I would skip them. The actual food on the menu however looks really good and I did try some of the pizza from others at the table, which was delicious as well. This place has a fun vibe. Great outdoor seating and nice bar. We opted for salads and pizza and we were glad we did. The salads were good portion sizes and the had stretch pizza was definitely big enough to share unless you're really hungry. I ordered the classic geary margarita with half salt which was very tasty! We had the mix of pizza and chicken orders at our table per the name, dough bird, lol! Hey, it works. They offer both hand tossed or Detroit thick crust options. We started with amazing almost overloaded seasoning of goodness (honey and spices) brussel sprouts and we thoroughly enjoyed our Aviator pepperoni pizza. I ordered the chicken tenders which were breaded with a perfect crunch and served with choice of sauce, since I couldn't decide on just buffalo style sauce I also ordered ranch, you do pay extra for sauce, I think if you order large chicken tenders you should include 2 choices. Both sauces tasted homemade and no sauce was left behind as they were delicious. Still listing this 5 as service. food snd ambiance were all perfect, except crinkle fries were very generic (to me) maybe its a preference, but they were not very good, (so some of those were left behind and I never leave real fries.) I'm a little disappointed that my first time here isn't as stellar as those who've left great reviews. I am at a loss. I wanted my first visit to be well rounded, the only thing I missed out on trying was the rotisserie chicken. What I did get to try was: chipotle bbq wings, buffalo wings, spicy Hawaiian pizza, shishito peppers, mac n cheese, and the brussel sprouts. My friend attempted to order a fruity martini, but was informed that there were limited spirits for the type of drink she wanted. The shishito peppers were the best out all the things we tried. Both types of wings had basil and dill on them. I'm not sure why, but those herbs did not go well with the chipotle or buffalo flavors. Both wing flavors also tasted honey based. The mac n cheese was creamy and slightly cheesy. The brussel sprouts were very sweet, I did not expect them to be honey based as well. Finally, the pizza; the dough was the best part of the whole pizza. There were a few jalapenos and even fewer pineapple. The cheese was ok, but couldn't really taste it; the sauce was ok, but tart, and there were some baked pieces of ham. Besides the shishitos, everything was alright. Service was equally alright. What an awesome restaurant. Wait staff are friendly, with great suggestions. We had an amazing pepperoni and mozzarella pizza that was high-end. My son had a fresh-squeezed pink lemonade that needed to be refilled a lot because it was so good. I had a zero-proof Blackberry Rickey that was refreshing on a very hot Tucson day. A friend and I began the night uncertain about dinner, and I'm so glad we ended up at Doughbird. It was a late night after a long, warm day. We were both noticeably thirsty so the friendly waitress quickly brought our two ice waters and offered the leave the pitcher at the table for us. It was promptly refilled as soon as we finished it. Although the inside of the restaurant looked more upscale than we expected, the beautiful patio seating allowed us to take advantage of a nice Tucson evening. We split the Barbecue Chicken Pizza and the Crispy Chicken Parmesan. Pizza is easy enough to share and they conveniently split the other dish so we could each have our own plate. We couldn't have asked for better service. Everything we ate was delicious. The pizza had crispy edges, a decadent crust, and fresh and flavorful toppings. The chicken parm came with a truffle orzo that gave a unique flare to a recognizable classic. It was a touch pricey for a relatively small portion, but the quality is certainly there and we both really enjoyed the meal. Would love to come back soon! read more

Nice experience here for happy hour on Friday night, except there was an hour and a half wait - to be expected a week after opening on a Friday night, so we went next door to Flower Child and had a drink while we waited. We ordered the padron peppers which could have used more sea salt, they were small, but still yummy, and the sauce that comes with them is the perfect pairing. The hummus platter was good, full of freshness and tomato on top, it only came with 1 pita, so it was difficult for sharing. The veggies were a bit strange - just a bunch of veggies in a bowl. I love all the food here. I"ve had the cauliflower, I like it with some extra sauce, the chicken, the pizzas, and the prime rib! All of it I would get again. They staff are always super attentive and I never have to wait for my drinks to be refilled. I love being seated in the bar area because it has such a chill vibe. This new location is elevated and we encountered delicious food, awesome service and a relaxed ambiance. I understand that they are a new restaurant in this area but that's crazy. We decided to wait for an outside table which took 45 minutes and 30 minutes to get served our food . The alcohol we ordered was amazing I really liked the pina colada. The pizza sauce honestly tasted like Chuck E. Cheese pizza. My friend ordered a burger, and she wasn't too excited about it either. They're known for being a Pizza & Chicken Restaurant yet they don't have any pizza on happy hour, which is disappointing because their pizza is good but expensive for a small portion. It is $17+ for a four slice deep dish pizza without many toppings. Overall, the menu prices are high with a cost of $5+ for sides, and $17 for a burger, and an average of $13 for an appetizer. Their cocktails/mocktails and dessert are the strongest menu items. They have four "zero-proof" non-alcoholic cocktail options both over ice and frozen. It's a fun place to get a drink at the bar with friends for those who don't drink alcohol. The aesthetic is great and the seating is comfortable, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Their desserts are really delicious and big enough to split. As far as their team and customer service, our dine-in experience was great, the team was quick and responsive. However for takeout, our order was incorrect and we didn't realize until we were already sitting down to eat. After experiences with both takeout and dine in, we've tried a wide range of menu items.
