From the moment we walked in, we were taken care of so well. Every employee we interacted with was so genuinely kind and very helpful. This made for such a warm, welcoming, and comfortable experience. Great job. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Love all of the plants throughout. The exposed ceiling is cool too. They have outdoor, indoor, and bar area seating. The decor is cool. The wall outside of the bathrooms is chock full of things to look at--my toddler especially enjoyed that. I loved that they had a few mocktails for those of us abstaining from alcohol but who still want a fun drink! I got the blackberry Ricky and it was delicious. The thing that underwhelmed me a bit was the food. I got the chicken sandwich and it was fine, nothing amazing, but not bad either. Nice sized portions with a variety of entrees to select from. Started with the Lebanese Hummus appetizer, which is a full plate of hummus and a small puffed pita loaf. Texture was great, but the hummus was very salty. Probably wouldn't order that again Table ordered the Copper Hat pizza which I believe everyone enjoyed. Nice balance of flavor with the sweet dates. Would definitely order again. My entree was the chicken parmesean. Another nice sized portion that I was able to split and take home. Consistent thickness with the right amount of sauce and cheese and not too much breading. Only problem was this one was also very salty, but I would try it again. Doughbird is always one of my first suggestions when eating out. Everything is always excellent. The Brussel sprouts and truffle bread are must orders every time. No matter if I order pizza or chicken I always order a side of umami sauce cause it's to dieeeeee for!!!!! I prefer the hand stretched pizza over the deep dish. Went back recently for a lovely lunch with a friend and actually took pictures this time! Those brussle sprouts are definitely a favorite appetizer! Why have one glass of sangria when you can split the pitcher! Especially the summer sangria so good and refreshing! And as always the chicken is the star of the show! Tender, fresh and crisp! Great food, fast and friendly service and amazing ambiance! First time here and we enjoyed everything so much. The pizza was super flavorful and crispy with the hand tossed dough. The wings were perfectly saucy and delicious. The Caesar salad was super good and the brussel sprouts were sweet and crispy. The fries were crunchy and pretty good for regular fries and the truffle cheese bread was sooooo good. The mashed potatoes were like any other mashed potatoes but we still enjoyed them. I got a shirley temple to drink and it was perfect, I'm glad they gave me some cherries because most places don't. We made a reservation for 5:30 pm, ordered our food at 5:47 pm and our food arrived at 6:08 pm so overall, pretty good wait time. The ambiance here was very relaxed and super cool. The indoor music was not too loud and the temperature was comfortable (not to cold/warm). The bathrooms are very aesthetically pleasing and they were very clean. Came to Doughbird for Sonoran restaurant week and what an amazing meal we had!! For a three course meal + an alcoholic drink, this was such a great deal! My friend and I came here without a reservation and luckily there were two seats at the bar! For apps we split shishito peppers and some hummus. The shishito peppers were amazing, and the sauce that came along with it was delicious! Hummus tasted fresh and delicious also! For mains, we got the Aviator Pizza and Prime Rip Dip. The mains were good, but the aviator pizza too salty for our taste (probably from the bacon, pepperoni and sausage). The prime rip Dip was good and the fries were crispy! Now dessert was probably the best thing. The Butterscotch cake was so so good. Nice and crunchy on the outside, ooey and gooey and just so moist when you get towards the center. Huge shout out to the folks at Doughbird. I hadn't been in since my doctor put me on keto and I couldn't get my favorite Copper Hat pizza. I went in today and, tired of another salad, server Melanie, manager Marlene, and a chef created me a crustless version of my favorite pizza! A "crust" of mozzarella with prosciutto, pistachios, figs, goat cheese and arugula. This was to die for. When I asked about carbs in the marinara, the server and chef figured out a range and it was a great dip. The picture doesnt do it justice, because i had cut up the crust by rolling it. I'm looking forward to having this again, and in further conversation, trying the wings with homemade blue cheese dressing. Keto peeps, these folks go above and beyond. The service is ok but not great, the servers seem a little rushed and once they take your order they are hard to stop for anything else, but I like being waited on so the fact that they have them is a plus. The bed thing they have is the chicken sandwich, so I will get that every time now. The burger was like cardboard, a frozen burger from a school cafeteria. Went there on a Saturday night without reservation. Lucky my bf and I were able to get a table without a wait even though the restaurant looked quite busy. Service was great from the host to the server. The server especially was attentive and pleasure to deal with. Restaurant is spacious and has comfortable seating. Good amount of bar seating also. I did have to wait 30 min for a table to come available but it was worth the wait. The menu is simple with a few items listed to choose from. I ordered the truffle cheese bread appetizer and a Spicy Blackberry Margarita. The truffle cheese bread was so tasty! I could have eaten the whole thing but I had to leave room for my main course. The margarita had the best flavor and the glass presentation was perfect. The mixture was perfect and of course I ordered a second one. Best Margarita I feel I have had in Tucson so far this year. We had guests from out of town and decided to try Doughbird. It was a busy Saturday night, so the only available seating was outside on the patio. They have shades and misters, so it was pretty comfortable. Our server was friendly and offered her recommendations when we inquired. We started with the guac and pimento appetizer. It's a dollop of pimento and a dollop of guac in a bowl served with crostini and tortilla chips. All of us enjoyed the pimento by itself and with guac. The crostini were especially tasty. We'd definitely get this again. Three in our party ordered the tenders with various sides, and they were all happy with the quality and quantity of their meals. I ordered the caramelized cauliflower steak. It's a very large, filling serving. The dried cherry/almond crunch on top and the dill + Greek yogurt sauce make this dish. My partner got the simple Caesar with grilled salmon on top. He expected a small pice of salmon and ended up with a typical dinner-sized portion. He found the salmon a bit on the salty side, but otherwise good. Since servings were so large, we decided that we would all share one serving of warm butterscotch cake with vanilla gelato. Had my daughter's baby shower at Doughbird. I was pleasantly surprised that they had Steak Frites on the menu. Of course I ordered it and it was delicious. Doughbird did not disappoint! We tried to come for dinner a few months ago but didn't have reservations and didn't want to wait so luckily, this time we made reservations. Wanted to have an early dinner and then get to the movies so we actually arrived 15 minutes prior to our 5pm reservation. Lucky for us because Doughbird's happy hour is from 2-5pm. Seated immediately and greeted warmly by our server, a friendly young man. We placed our order quickly in order to get the happy hour special on our food. Here is a rundown on the items we sampled: * Truffle Cheese Bread - so delicious! Just the right amount of cheese, sauce and truffle flavor. I could have eaten the whole serving! * Personal Pepperoni Pizza: my husband ate this and he enjoyed it but I didn't taste it.....not even the leftovers we heated up the next day. * Personal Margherita Pizza: my pizza was very tasty. Love, love, love the crispy, cheesy edges. Reheated the leftovers the next day and the pizza was even MORE flavorful * Wings: We did the dry rub and I was very impressed. I only wish the order was larger. Perfect amount of rub and cooked to perfection. * Lemon Meringue Pie with Blackberry Compote: that pie was a feast for our eyes! Huge stack of meringue that stood up stiff and straight and caramelized to perfection. The lemon was delicious. * Warm Butterscotch Cake with Vanilla Bean Gelato: Oh. Em. Gee. This dessert was so good and not overpoweringly sweet and sticky. I want that butterscotch sauce to take home and put on everything! So, so good. We each had a couple of cocktails from the bar, just our standard drinks and nothing from their special cocktail menu. I went here for a friends birthday last week or the week before. My friend and her family really liked this restaurant, however it was my first time. The server I think was newer, but very personable, helpful and friendly. She helped me choose the Bolognese and I loved it! I also got the butterscotch cake, dessert and was very excited about this. I have a sweet tooth and love desserts...however, when I tried this, I did not taste butterscotch at all, but more of a burnt caramelized-like taste that was not pleasant. We then ordered the peanut butter brookie to try, though I'm not fond of peanut butter desserts. It was just as I expected, thick and rich. For those who enjoy a peanut butter dessert, they'll probably love this. Someone else at the table ordered the lemon meringue dessert and that one was OK but had, the blackberry seeds in the purée that get stuck in your teeth, which I'm not a fan of. Overall, I was really excited about the desserts here thinking the dessert menu looks so good but after trying all three, I would skip them. The actual food on the menu however looks really good and I did try some of the pizza from others at the table, which was delicious as well. We waited a long time to get our order taken. I had to go ask the hostess to get someone. Pizza was below average. I ordered 3 and only received 2. I didn't ask because I thought maybe it was taking a little longer but it never came so I said forget it we won't get it. Chicken strips were good. We were never given utensils. Our server only came out towards the end of our meal to ask if everything was ok. The outside patio area was nice due to the weather today but the chairs were horrible and uncomfortable. Went there for a staff appreciation with my team. We all enjoyed our food. I especially enjoy when I get cheese/dairy free pizza because I of my allergies and without any weird looks! The server was friendly and accommodating us while we waited for the rest of the group. Everyone else either tried different style pizza, salad or even the pot pie! All looked super delicious and we would recommend or come again! Next time I want to try the chicken. I have been at night during happy hour , had a drink and the pepperoni chips. The staff here are very friendly. We came for date night. Food came out very fast. I got 3 tenders with fries and ranch. The ranch is sweet, not great for my liking. The fries were okay but the tenders were not hot, almost like they were sitting under a heat lamp. I got a side Caesar which was super fresh and good. Hubs got the chicken wings, asked for buffalo and they were weird in his opinion, cooked crispy but just not a buffalo flavor. However the bbq chicken pizza sauce was quite sweet for bbq, would've preferred more tang versus the sweetness. The corn on the pizza was unusual as well. The Chilean salmon was very salty and the honey glaze was a bit too heavy and overpowering. The cocktails were overly sweet and somewhat bitter as well, even when asked to remove the simple syrup from the recipe. Previous visits I had gotten the fried chicken sandwich which was enjoyable or tenders. Also the seasonal sangria at the time was great. May take a break before trying it again. read more
