We drove 20 minutes out of our way to go to the Yucaipa location because I was so impressed with it the one time I went there. However, after waiting in line for 10 minutes in the drive-thru, we were informed that they were closed and we couldn't order anything. This was at 9:35, when closing time was supposed to be 10:00! I told them how far we'd come and pointed out what time it was, but they didn't care. My family is extremely disappointed and will not be going there again, and will also encourage all of our friends and family to avoid it as well. read more

Not gonna lie, this is a pretty dope Dairy Queen. They got some sofas off to the right when you walk in and they're pretty comfy. Nothing like putting your feet up, kicking back and eating some ice cream. Also, one thing to note, they're super fast here. And I mean really fast. I came in with a couple of friends and we ordered our blizzards. I joke you not, after a minute of sitting down they called my order and a friends order. I have been inside twice before. Good customer service and the place had seemed clean. This time when my husband and I went inside, (8:45pm on Saturday) there was the usual line in the drive thru but the dining area was empty. We ordered two cones and wondered why the employees were standing around talking and no one was making our order. As I looked around, I noticed the place where the food is made was absolutely filthy. I was shocked. Ice cream and syrup was dripping from everywhere. Their dispenser machines and counters were disgusting with melted ice cream, syrups, and toppings strewn everywhere. The floor was just as bad. There was a lot of various types of melted ice cream, food droppings, and other debris along the counter where I ordered. It was not just dirty as if they had a sudden rush of orders. It was quite obvious that no one had cleaned all day. The girl who took our asked another employee if anyone "had a dish towel somewhere" to clean up the mess by the register. One employee dragged out a filthy rag and hesitantly began wiping. Attached are some photos I took, but they do not capture how filthy the place really was. I hope this was an isolated incident due to the lazy employees who happened to be scheduled to work together that night. If the drive thru customers knew how filthy the area was where their food was being prepared, I wonder how many would have left! read more

Internet states you are open till 10:30 on a Friday. 2 carloads of people showed up in the drive thru first order was placed at 10:07 I was in the second car at 10:08 went to place order and was told you closed at 10pm. How did my friends get there order through and I was denied???????? Poor customer service read more

Everyone is nice but what saddens me is I ALWAYS ask for EXTRA toppings on my blizzards because otherwise I only get toppings on the top. Well this location doesn't understand what extra toppings mean and I end up paying extra for a few pieces of cheesecake or brownie pieces literally no exaggeration. I would totally understand if I wasn't charged but if I'm charge please give me what I pay for! read more

Went here to get one blizzard which I probably don't need. The drive-thru was seven cars deep to the speaker. I went in to order. There was a guy and his kid perplexed over the abundant choices. I ordered my blizzard. I watched as the kids working the place did every order in the drive-thru and the guy and his kid who ordered after me. In fact, they kept calling an order inside that there was no one there to answer. Then they made the same order again and called the same people. The only people to blame for these employees are their parents. These kids are woefully ill-prepared for the world as they can not handle the most basic job. I guess this store should have a motto: "At least we don't spit on your food". By the cleanliness of the place and the slovenly employees, I should have turned and walked out. This should go to show you that giving people $15 an hour doesn't make them better workers. read more

My blizzards melted in less than 5 minutes of leaving the drive thru. Cup was overfilled and spilled upon opening.

We love our hometown DQ and the fun we have there. Always friendly and always good. Thanks for making memories for so many in Yucaipa.

We keep trying to come back to this location because we love Dairy Queen, however, tonight was our last time. Each time, the blizzards come out the window already melted and drippy. And the mixins are scarce at best. So sad. We used to love it here. read more

I gave them 3 stars simple because I specifically asked for a "fishermen" cake anything that has to do with fish. My dad loves fishing, and then I picked up a baby carriage cake. Lol, I was told it wouldn't be a problem that they were able to do a fisherman/ fishing cake. Next time I will have to go into detail and ask more specifically if they have what I am asking for.It tasted the way they always do. But for the future, if they are unable to do what I was asking, it is okay to say, "sorry we can't do that," it would have been more than understandable. Don't know what everyones problem with this Dairy Queen is. Every time I have been the workers have been so nice! The drive thru line can take some time in the summer, but what are you expecting? They sometimes have movies going in the lobby. It's a cool place to get some ice cream. read more

I love Dairy Queen ice cream and have no issues with the actual food. My rating is for their customer service. It's not the first time I've had horrible customer service at this location. I asked to have more fudge in my blizzard and she said "I can only fit so much so the answer is no." These girls probably need a lesson in customer service. If it's that hard perhaps they shouldn't be working the drive thru. Lastly, my teen sons blizzard was wrong. He went in and asked for the one he ordered and was told, if you don't have a receipt I can't fix it. Long story short, she gave him the right one with major attitude. It's fast food, he wasn't asking to have a steak remade. I'm sure I'll go back since it's blazing hot but management please address these issues with your staff. read more

Dang!! The cost of a mini Blizzard has gone up way to much! For a Dixie cups worth of ice cream I ended up shelling out almost $5. The damage ended up being a little less because I had a buy one get on free coupon but I was also hoping to get 15% knocked off my order because of the Yelp deal DQ was running if you mentioned the code word "Easter Eggs".Unfortunately the cashier couldn't figure out what 15% of a couple bucks was but I can tell you it isn't a penny.*sigh* Plus the last two times our minis have been runny on top and by the time we get them home (two minutes later) we end up with ice cream soup. Ohh Dairy Queen, you just disappointed me with your strawberry cheese cake blizzard. I understand that your employees literally can't add a ton of cheesecake pieces because of cost but I think a total of ten tiny pieces in a large blizzard is a little stingy. My pregnancy cravings were only satisfied for about two minutes because they were all on top and not evenly throughout my large blizzard. Basically strawberry cheesecake on top then just strawberry ice cream for the rest of the way. And to think I begged my man to get me this ice cream at 8:00pm, ugh! I've always loved DQ's Sunday with chocolate fudge and peanuts that's my fave! I also love their absolutely fresh pretzels, but this location is just outstanding, the team of ladies working their is just great, they are quick and clean. Im not usually one to eat ice cream, I am more of a cookie person myself, but my family is nearly addicted to ice cream. There are many places in town where one could find ice cream yes, but by far Yucaipa Dairy Queen is the best. There seems to be a cool group of people that look like they enjoy working there and are not only respectful but are pretty good at making ice cream. Im just going to say it, I almost wish I worked there. If I ever get anything for myself, it is the S'mores blizzard. If you haven't tired it yet, ask them to make it for you. I have come in contact with workers such as Sydnee, Gabriella, Marc, Travis, Mikayla, and Dakota (?) They all did amazing jobs. I love that the Beach Boys are always playing when I visit. Very nostalgic and reminds me why I love the small town feel. Keep playing on repeat please! Other than the fact that the cake I ordered for Christmas had a typo, I have never had an issue at this establishment. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Daisy has redeemed the dairy queen experience for us. We come here not very often but when we do, we want a peanut butter blizzard with extra peanut butter and we want it blended all the way through to the bottom. Seems like an easy request, right?
