For take out, food is quickly prepared and packaged so no delays. Parking lot may be crowded and hard to find a space, but turnover is quick. Literally every block has a place with menus offering something from a Middle Eastern country. Except for Panini Kebob Restaurant, that I love so much for offering alternatives to rice, they are literally all exactly alike. I found Dr sandwich completely randomly because they were one of a few restaurants that were open in the evening of an Easter day. So happy that I did. Because now I'm a complete fan! There are three distinct values that this restaurant is so important to me for: - Food quality - Generosity - Staff friendliness I love it that I always feel welcome and that I will never leave hungry. These guys are never stingy if a customer happens to ask for "just a bit more of that side dish" and the quality of food is above and beyond. The workers were eating while working. this very dirty almost homeless looking Jewish guy, looked like the owner cause he was dressed differently , was all sweaty and greasy looking, came out the back and it completely disgusted me. We both felt sick all night after eating from here:( Beef Shwarma plate and Falafel plate to split between us. Everything tasted "off". Probably should have just thrown it out. Really bad lunch experience on many levels. This establishment 10 years ago was really great but it is not anymore. A- it's not clean: on the customer side the floor is so greasy that you're literally skidding while standing in line waiting for your sandwich. On the workers side its not any better, its simply not clean and definitely not hygienic. B- Because there is no owner on-site the employees attitude and performance is is really bad, you can tell they are unhappy to be there, non of them had a smile on. C- the worst of all was the fact that when i got back to my office and was ready to eat I've realized that the shawarma was so uncooked it was literally pink. Uncooked chicken can really harm you so the entire dish went to the trash. I hope that the owners of this place read this review and get it corrected. read more

I am definitely down with Dr Sandwich. The chicken shawarma was seasoned so well. And the portions are insane I took half home and had it for lunch the next day. They also have the good pita - not the thin dry stuff. There are so many options for salads I was pretty much in heaven - green cabbage, purple cabbage, Israeli salad, cucumber salad like my Safta makes, grilled vegetables schug, jalapeños that set my mouth on fire. Service was great, I was offered as many sides as I wanted so no complaints. We got there close to the 6pm family dinner rush on Sunday so it was hard to get a table - but were more than happy at the counter with a window seat. The AC wasn't on blast which I appreciated - sometimes when you're sitting next to them you're freezing and that wasn't the case here. The dinner rush died down around 7 so better chance of a table then (on Sundays at least). read more

After getting home, I realized it and called to rectify the situation. I ordered STEAK KABOBS and received HAMBURGER PATTIES. I am leaving 2 stars because truly my sandwich was delicious. But my coworker and I both had the most horrible reaction to our lunch 3 weeks ago. It felt like something was exploding on the left side of my stomach about 30-40 minutes after eating my sandwich. My coworker who had the falafel plate had a similar reaction. I personally had the Cauliflower Sabich Laffa. It was delicious. But the pain that followed made it unbearable to continue eating. My stomach expanded so much from only having half a sandwich it was insane. I was beyond bloated. Luckily after 2 hours I went back to a normal size. Although, I was very cautious about what I would eat over the next few days. Now that it has been 3 weeks I have gone back to eating normally. But I am not quite the same.
