When a Chinese fast food joint doesn't offer samples, they should expect customers who eat there to occasionally want to return an item. This is why samples are given out, to avoid wastage. Pandemic or not, it's a convenience for the seller and the buyers. The "BBQ pork" there is atrocious! Typical good BBQ pork is pink &/or red on the outer edge with a moist, light gray-toned center. As we've grown accustomed to getting. Theirs was dark, brick red. It was so over cooked the the moment the fork attempts to go through it, it splits in half. It's that dry & over cooked. See the photos. And when I asked to exchange it out for another item, she smugly looks at you and smiles, saying "no." Why in the hell did this place have a 4.x review on Google is beyond me. Honestly have been going to this Chinese restaurant since I was in high school. I would recommend the teriyaki chicken because it is totally different from any other Chinese restaurants I have had. Their egg rolls are so good. I also got milk tea from them because I saw it advertised but it was a bit too sweet for my liking so I wouldn't recommend getting that. I've been coming here since I was in Junior High School... that should tell you how old the place is. It's went through a few owners in its lifetime, but for the most part, the food has remained decent throughout the years. Is the best quality? Nope. But if you want something quick on your lunch break or large quantities of food because you're starving, then this will definitely do the trick. A two-item combo is about $5.89 and it's loaded with your choice of rice and chow mein and two meaty options. I tend to not like take-out places' chow mein, and usually always opt for total rice. For Dragon Express, I'd have to say the orange chicken is their biggest winner. It's nice and crispy with a little bit of sweet. A big pet peeve of mine when ordering the poultry from these types of places is that the breading can be soggy, or it's like sucking on candy. I think it's a good balance. For the most part, the place always seems to be on the slower side. It's not the most updated restaurant, but it's clean and the owners are really friendly. The best Chinese fast food restaurant I've ever been to. My family and I have actually been loyal customers since 1996 or so, and their food has never failed on us. Everything tastes just right! We always order fried rice, chow mein, orange chicken, and pepper steak altogether, and they give you LOTS of food all for under $10. I went to Panda Express today and a tiny bowl of fried rice and orange chicken cost me that much, unfortunately, and it didn't even taste good whatsoever. But anyways, this place is just awesome, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the area (or visiting the area) to stop by if they have any cravings for Chinese takeout. Its a little hole in the wall and it may even look a little run down but they make it up with the food. The prices are great too. When you look at the food you might think like, "hmmm it doesn't look too good" but when you try it its like, "OMG!!!" My favorite is the Orange Chicken and Zucchini Chicken.
