We ordered orange chicken, egg rolls and the cucumber salad, chicken skewers with pita bread, dumplings and white stem rice everything tasted good until we spotted a small cockroach on the wall and my friend killed it. I we were so grossed out. Then as we just decided to let it go my other friend was eating her pita bread and was dipping in to the orange chicken juice a big long hair came out it. So we had decided to let the waiter know. Waiter share that was not the first time it had happened, cooks don't wear hair nets. I know for sure if I visit again I won't be going back. Fantastic food! We had the soup dumplings and loved every bite. We also had the lamb skewers. The meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fried rice had tons of yummy veggies and meat just the way I like it. I don't think it is a normal thing, but the credit card machine wouldn't work when we were there so be warned. The waitress was excellent she laughed at our order because there were two of us and we got three appetizers and two entrees. Joke was on her, we ate delicious leftovers for three days! The food is GREAT! We especially loved the Dragon Breath dessert. We had a fun time with it. The downside is that it's small, and a wee bit shabby. The table was sticky which was bugging me. Also, ordering on the phone was kind of weird. But the decor itself was pretty cool. It did kind of make me think of a college dorm room, which makes sense given the area. I'm sure most young people wouldn't care about the sticky table like I did (given that I'm an "old lady"). All in all though, I would still go again for the food. Worth it for sure! read more

Can't speak to the quality of their food... because I called to make a pick-up order and was instructed to go into their website instead. I was driving hence the call.... Decided to go elsewhere. When we have 1000 other options for dinner, not taking a phone order seems like a strange hill to die on. Hope others have a better customer service experience. read more

I Just finished dinner at Dragon Flame. Arrived at about 7:30pm. Restaurant was a quarter full at the time of arrival. I'm doing this review because if I didn't I would be doing you all injustice. Ambience in the place is dark with the owners dogs roaming around and the service was horrendous. Horrendous because the waitress was not properly trained. The owner walks around yapping with patrons not helping when the staff is in obvious duress. Undertrained, overworked. Every patron in the place asking for utensils, drinks and plates. Waitress couldn't keep up. Owner continues to walk around all while talking poorly about the staff. Food quality was mixed bags. Lamb skewers and pineapple chicken were good, dumplings in the frozen isle from Costco taste better. Tables were dirty and bowls were being wiped down with the dirty table cloth. Yuck! Last note, when you arrive a sign asks to not leave a review and to bring any concerns with the owner. We did at the restaurant and all he did was blame his staff. read more

It came to me still hot .I ordered the pineapple chicken which the taste was a 7/10 juicy white chicken meat with decent sauce similar to orange chicken .However the breading was a little thick and bready on some pieces.The portion size was generous after all it was 17.99 however I wouldn't pay 17.99 again I would spend 13.99 . The delivery presentation wasn't the best.The bag was tied into a not but the soda can wasn't wrapped in there with the food. The waiter was really nice, but everything else was not great. First no menu and a very weird ordering system made things hard. It was an online order so as others in our party of 6 ordered it changed our order. Anyway the waiter helped but 2 people in our party have to be gluten free and the menu was just a mess. Hard to see any descriptions and only skewers for gf people. Then they heavily spiced the kids food after asking for no spice, and they brought the bread to the gluten free kid even after saying no bread. From the time the first dish was brought to the last was over an hour! Then the food was delivered and was gross. The skewers looked and tasted like they were on the grill all day. It's a great place to eat especially at late night. The food offered here is different from other Chinese restaurants I've been to. The crispy burger is a must have. It has juicy beef with crispy puffy bread, a creative and tasty combination. The cucumber salad is served with a generous size and it complemented the other meat dishes we ordered. Went here with my boyfriend after sampling some take out a friend had ordered. WOW! It's a cute small tucked in place with a nice patio. The owner or manager was super nice and running around taking care of everybody. But none of that compares to the food! We had the Chong Quin noodles, the best ramen you will ever eat! Full of noodles, ground meat, mushrooms and bok choy in a spicy sauce with peanuts. We also had the pineapple chicken with rice....sticky, sweet and yummy! The Korean chicken wings at another table looked so bomb, but the portions are big so we were full and even took food home. Seen this place on social medium so went and checked it out. The food is amazing fresh and large portions. I thought the price was expensive until I seen the portions. One plate will feed at least 2 people. The restaurant is small they have a nice patio but it was to hot to sit outside. The owner stopped in and we meet him. He was very nice told us some stories and how he came about some of the recipes. Overall it was a great experience. The owner did have 2 small dogs roaming around the restaurant seemed odd. My wife said it was a very common thing to have pets in restaurants over seas ‍. Other than that it was a great little spot and I will be back. Dumplings are amazing so get some. read more

I am levelheaded & very forgiving when I eat. If there's something I don't like & I ordered it buy mistake or didn't see a particular ingredient was included (BEANS) I either deal with it, don't eat it or maybe let the server know it was my mistake & could they remove the ingredient or remake the food. This is why I throughly check the menu/ ingredients, ask the server (owner in this case) "what do you think between these 2 choices I've narrowed it down too, or what would you suggest for a rookie here"? In this case since I was the only customer I was able to have a thorough conversation with Mao. That is what's a very disappointing! DO NOT EAT HERE. This is the first time I am this emphatic that you don't eat here, it's a little strange. BTW .... no towels to dry your hands in the restroom! You heard me! The excuse (reason) was because too many freeloaders (homeless & students) steal the towels & do unspeakable things in the restroom, WTF? The table tops are cheap 70's plastic (the kind my grandparents would have on the couch or backseat of the car) with the "menu" underneath, then you order from a disgusting tablet that has no descriptions of what the dish contains. You will pay extra for white rice with your meal (because people don't eat it & Mao is tired of throwing it out)! My "beef"kabobs were ALL FAT! LITERALLY there was 5% of the "meat"was edible beef. Again Mao said that's traditional Chinese & that's what people want... FAT! Dude you're selling BEEF KABOBS, NOT FAT KABOBS. I am not Chinese but I've been to MANY Chinese restaurants from the east coast to the west coast (NY & SF) to off the largest "authentic"Chinese restaurants, NEVER have I had the owner justify fat as standard in lieu of beef! To end this rant review (sorry) 99% of the Chinese restaurants I have eaten are extraordinarily customer focus, hospitable & IF (rare) something is not to my satisfaction, they either replace it with something or take it off the bill. NEVER do they justify shitty food! In fact we usually get something extra that we didn't order for us to try, because they have pride in their business & know how to make customers happy. read more

Very marvelous service from the one Server who seemed to have the entire dinning room. He was very cordial and informative as we were trying to navigate the on line ordering process, which is a real pain. He was GREAT! Dinning room is very cute with lighted Chinese Lanterns filling the ceiling. We were convinced by previous reviews to order the Orange Chicken and were glad we did as it was quite wonderful. Not so for the Soup Dumplings. Firstly they fell apart before you could get them in your mouth.. Mm Secondly, had very little taste A big disappointment. But not as big a disappointment as the noodle dish with very little in it but the noodles and the hot as hell spice. Given the ordering difficulty and the lack of parking, I'm doubting we'll repeat visit. read more
