In September, my family purchased a 2025 VW ID Buzz, which we absolutely fell in love with. Very fraudulent VW dealer! My wife purchased a brand new car with in a month the car had major saftey issues, the dealers tech fraudulent work orders and inflated labor to warranty still didn't fix this new car! The BAR will be contacted as they do not follow write it right, and literally created fraud misleading statements on the work orders! I survived brain surgery and had my wife just go to avoid having to deal with any issues, however all we have had is issues after having 15 back to back VWs as a parts person, mechanic and service advisors myself! I am so surprised at the level of failures here! The lies on the work orders are just to stupid. I will be contacting the estate attorney general and the bureau of automotive repair tomorrow and starting the process of legal action against this dealership and point out their fraudulent activity's and practices! read more

Went in to buy a Tesla today. I had one of the worst customer experiences of my life, this place is run like a Barnum and Bailey 3 Ring circus. This was a Tesla I paid cash for, I was there for 2 hours and 50 minutes. They didn't even wash the car, it looked like it had been driven through a mosquito swarm. The salesman was a very nice guy and so was the finance guy but this place has literally no idea how to service customers. It was completely dead and it took my almost 3 hours. The offices are dirtly, garbage under the desks, walls need paint, not a professional place to do business. Horrendous, I will never buy a car again and deal with a dealership. Ok, I look upon these reviews and see that they cover the entire diaspora of ratings. I will only tell my story, and I am fortunate that my experience with the Auto Repair Shop has been very favorable. 1) Whenever my tire sensor shows my tire is low, they fill it with air and get it right back to me. 2) They did my 60K service and returned when promised. They identified an issue provided a rental car and had my vehicle ready before they promised. 3) They gave me a fair market value cost of replacing my brake pads and tires when it needs to be done to include the sensors and resetting the TPMS. I am exceptionally pleased with their performance and their outstanding customer and repair service. Keep up the excellent work. read more

It was a bad experience and a total waste of time. I was interested in a 2023 Certified VW ID 4 S, as advertised on their site. The communication with the dealership was bad enough for me to email the manager saying, "Hey," trying to purchase a car. I drove down to view and test drive and was informed it was sold - cool, no problem, and congratulations; however, I received an email later that day asking if I wanted to come and test drive - interesting (very interesting, I'll leave it there). I called to confirm they had it and was told they did. I chatted with a rep who was awesome. We nailed everything down, and I told her I would fill out the app and pick up the car in the morning. However, before doing that, I confirmed the product with her again to ensure we were synced. I repeated the description from their site verbatim. Here's the crux of the matter, and it's why dealerships often get a bad rap. When I inquired about the Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) coverage, I was then told it wasn't a CPO car; a clear case of intentional deception? Feels like it. This should serve as a warning to potential buyers. I was told it was a misprint... Interesting. I was OK and ready to purchase because they offered a 2.99% finance rate (my score is 850), so I confirmed that rate; she came back and said that was for the CPO, but since it's not a CPO (the false advertisement)- the car didn't qualify for that special rate. OK - I was a little disappointed but cool; I wanted the car, so I sent a picture of the car with a 4.99% rate - advertised on the page with the car. She came back and said, sorry - that is for a CPO car too. Wait: The car was advertised as a CPO, but it's not. The dealer indicated that the 2.9% was only for the CPO, but then also said the 4.9% rate was only for CPO cars, which this one isn't, although they advertised it as a CPO car. They said they'd offer a rate between 7-9% via a credit union (isn't this sounding like a classic case of BS)? I informed the salesperson, who was very helpful that I was pulling out of the purchase. There were too many misleading, deceptive, and downright lies throughout the engagement (I have all artifacts, including the emails, text messages, and screen captures. Unlike the dealer, I have no motivation to lie.) The net here is clear. Intentional deceptive ads. There was a lack of engagement from their management team when deceptive ads were called out (was hoping they would find a way to make things right somehow). A casual buyer would purchase assuming it is a CPO (when it's not) and apply for financing, thinking they'll get 4.9%, but they'll get 9%. I get what they are motivated to do, but this should simply be illegal (respect people's time please) and punitive. This is the kind of experience that deters people from wanting to visit dealerships. ...multiple instances of misinformation (Car sold, CPO, and Pro), bait and switch tactics (2.9%, then 4.9%, then 7-9%), and a glaring lack of customer care at the management level. We had an extremely upsetting experience at Dublin Volkswagen recently when getting servicing on our car. We bought our car here in February 2023 and didn't have any problems. We've also got a previous servicing done after purchasing and had no issues. My husband scheduled for a 20k servicing. When I got there, there were 3-4 guys talking amongst each other and no one even looked up, said hello or acknowledged me. I stood there awkwardly until someone said hi can I help you a long 5 min later. Bowe Blanyer asked me what I was here for I told him 20k servicing and also that my sensors were not working so those needed to be checked. I also asked if they could possibly wash my car and charge it if they had time. He verified my phone number and address and then had me sign one place and initial another place. He said he'd call with an update and organized my Lyft ride back home. He called explaining that the sensor was broken because of possibly a rock chip. He told me it would cost $700 something for the part and labor to fix it. I said I'll hold off and I'll discuss with my husband. My husband called and spoke to Bowe Blanyer about the quote for more details. My husband went to pick up the car and speak with Bowe. He decided not to proceed with the quote since it was quite high. Bowe told my husband that we owed $160 for a diagnostic charge. My husband was confused. I was not told of any charges when I signed the paperwork, so I didn't tell my husband of any charge either. My husband called me to ask about it and I explained that I was not aware of any charges and no one had said anything that we were to pay for a diagnostic charge. I heard Bowe Blanyer say in the background on the phone "your wife is a liar. She saw the $160 charge and asked what it was and I explained it." He kept insisting that I was lying. I was VERY offended and upset that Bowe Blanyer accused me of lying. Bowe did not tell me about any charges, I did not see ANY charges where I initialed and signed so there's absolutely NO WAY that I could've questioned and asked him about the charge. If he had mentioned a charge, I would've called my husband immediately to double check before agreeing because he was the one who made the appointment. My husband asked to speak to the manager who was also VERY rude. The manager also accused me of lying and out of frustration told my husband to take the car and leave and under his breath said "SUCH LIARS." It's safe to say that we will never be going there and will never recommend anyone to go there. My husband and I have very clear communication and I am not a liar. They were extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and unpleasant. We were very disappointed and upset. read more

I called and Bill told me to come on down even though I didn't have an appointment. Bowe was rad and swapped it out for me while I was paying for the part. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Definitely wouldn't recommend going here. I was adamant about buying a car there and was prequalified already. I spoke to the sales rep Emily who said she will make sure that everything is processed quickly and the following day. This was on a Tuesday and I called back Wednesday because I didn't hear from her and then found out she's out till Friday. So then I got transferred to another sales rep and told them that I'm already prequalified and would like to come test drive the car. They ignored everything I said and then ran my credit through their own financing which gave me a hard inquiry on my credit report and then never got back to me again and then I had to follow up again Thursday afternoon and make it clear that I'm pre approved already. They said they will call me back but never did. Friday came around. I called again and finally got transferred to the finance manager. He called the bank and called me back and said I'm approved, at this point the bank also ran my credit and put another hard inquiry on my credit report. He said I'm approved. I said I'm ready to move forward and he said he will get back to me. By this time it was Saturday. He said he would call the bank and get right back to me but never did. I reached out to him on Sunday and then he told me the car has been sold. So I went through this whole process only for everything to be delayed, when I was already approved. Also received two new hard inquiries on my credit report and never even received the car. Such shitty service. Nobody was on top of anything. For some reason they wouldn't take my approval. They only wanted to finance through their own bank and because of this they put another hard inquiry on my credit report that I never agreed to. Dublin VW has been servicing my VWs for the past five years and I have been very happy with their service department. My 2005 beetle had the majority of it's service work at Dublin VW and my 2013 Passat TDI has had ALL it's service work (so far only scheduled maintenance & recall work), but has always been great. Vehicle is always cleaner at pick up than at drop-off (inside & out), fresh coffee & donuts are a plus, but the service folks are pretty great too. read more

Called to schedule an oil change on a new VW and explained that I would be waiting at the dealership during the oil change with two small children. Was told there can sometimes be a wait, but I could call back the morning of for an estimated wait time. I called the morning of and found out they scheduled me during their lunch break and it would take no less than 2.5 hours. Needless to say, I canceled the appointment. They had quoted me a decent price, but the difference in price is not worth the wait time when I can be done in 30 minutes at a different location. My husband and I just bought a Toyota Prius prime from this establishment. They delivered the car to us with more front end damage than they originally disclosed. After we negotiated with them to get the price down so we could repair the car (and Emily the "sales manager" was EXTREMELY rude the whole process) we then discovered that they delivered the car to us without a charge cord, because the Prius prime is a plug in. They said oh we don't have it . Unfortunately we discovered this after we had signed. We are now trying to figure if they are going to do anything to make this right for us. Who sells a plug in car without the plug???? Also everyone we have spoken knows absolutely nothing and is extremely unhelpful. Worst car buying experience I've ever had. read more

I brought my son's GTI in this week to VW service for engine light on. Jerrid Wood went above and beyond to get the GTI back on the road safe and fixed. It was an intake bracket which broke and had a lifetime warranty on the part and labor. They found a few other parts which needed to be addressed, we did and we are happy with the service. I took my car for a recall, Mike was very polite and helpful, my plan was to wait there but since I had to leave my car for a couple hours I decided to take bart back home and come back later to pick it up. He offered a Lyft ride on them, round trip! Now, why I drove all the way there when I have one local VW... To start, I bought my CC at Hayward Volkswagen (terrible experience) if you want to know look up my review for them. I called directly to the company to set up the appointment, since I live in Hayward it was logical to go to the nearest one, long story short, they were supposed to call me the next day because the service department was already closed, they never did. I decided to give it a shot at Dublin Volkswagen and I'm so happy I did! They not only did the recall but also checked a couple things in my car and got a complementary wash :) I felt cared for genuinely, so unlike Hayward VW. Next time I need something I'll for sure go to Dublin, is worth the drive! read more

After I was wrongly told at a local Wheel Works that changing the bulb would cost over $300 since it would require that they remove the bumper, Phil personally changed the bulb and I was out in a few minutes. What a terrible experience. Car wouldn't start, had it towed to Dublin VW. After an incorrect battery diagnosis and paying for a new one, determined it was alternator. They finished the car and the airbag light was on when I picked it up and had not been on before they repair. Called service department, brought car back. They inspected it and reported it was clock springs which I just had replaced in March of this year. Told it was under warranty but then they changed their mind because that work was warranty in March and they don't warranty , warranty work!?!?!? After reporting to corporate office they agreed it was indeed under warranty. But then they decided it wasn't clock springs but steering module. Of course that wasn't under warranty. When I picked up car, service rep said it appeared someone had been working in that area and damaged the steering module thus it had to be replaced. No one else but VW has worked on my car in and around that area but they said it wasn't them so of course it was up to me to pay. Started the car and the airbag light was on! The exact problem it was there to be fixed. Could they not see it was on? They took my car back into shop, 10 minutes later they came back and said they just forgot to reset the light. So how am I supposed to believe that wasn't the case the first time and they didn't damage the part when they were determining the problem? read more
