It is definitely not "Sweater Weather" here at Sacramento today, but I am definitely not sorry for getting an Iced Sweater Weather Chai White Chocolate Coffee drink. It's White Chocolate with a Double Shot of White Coffee, Soft Top and Cinnamon Sprinkles. I was tempted in getting some sort of pumpkin drink, but decided on the featured Chai. As usual the drink was made as expected... great! The drive thru line was long, but the staff moved the line quickly with their handy iPad. Honestly I love Dutch bros. I tried my first iced double torture years ago and fell in love. There's something wrong though with this location. Over the last couple years my coffee started tasting wrong. It wasn't sweet like it's supposed to be. It just tastes off and watery coffee with like a fake "weak" sweetness. It doesn't taste like the rich vanilla/mochaness. I was worried it was my taste buds but I recently went to another location and the double torture tasted like it used to. The workers are some of the happiest and nicest people I have ever met, I am always greeted with a smile. We come to this location often for our drinks as it is on our way home to and from work. Always get our drinks correct, and speedy service even with long lines which this location is highly known for. They are friendly and chatty while taking your order but move on quickly and don't neglect the other people waiting in line. And your drinks our almost always ready by the time you get to the window. Horribly long lines. We waited in line for 35 minutes for our drinks. We would have just left but we had already paid. I don't understand what could possibly take so long when they are taking orders ahead of time? They just sit and talk with people or what so you have to wait in ridiculous lines for 35 minutes to get coffee. I've never received a phone call back from corporate in regard to getting my money back or an incident report. I visited this location and purchased coffee with what was unknown to me to be a fake $20, which I had just received in change from another establishment. I had the barista check my other $20 as well to see if it was also fake, it was. She kept both of them, which I guess I understand however no incident report or any correspondence or action was taken on Dutch Bros part for me to be able to go back to the other establishment to retrieve my money back. The other establishment said if I brought them back the fake bills or at least some proof of the incident they could give me my money back. I spoke to the manager here, left all my contact info and had a lengthy chat about it, I also emailed and called corporate, no resolution was ever offered, I was just ignored. I'm just SOL on my hard earned money. I've been a long time customer and was an innocent victim of this situation and Dutch Bros could have helped me resolve it. Over hyped coffee. I wanted to try Dutch Bros as I was in Folsom for the weekend and remembered that all my friends who live in Sacramento post about this coffee. I started thinking it would be equivalent to Canada's Tim Horton's, but I was wrong. I ordered the Dutch Freeze as it was HOT in Folsom. The drink was blended frozen espresso. Sounds good right? Well it wasn't. It was super sweet and nothing special. Perhaps I didn't order the right drink? It's time I throw down a review for this Dutch Brothers location. It is, after all, my favorite pit stop when I'm headed home from Folsom. The service is always friendly and pretty darn fast. They've gotten more consistent with taking orders as you wait in line and the speed has improved. My drinks are also made exactly as specified too. I never have an issue here. This is the location where I learned about one of my favorites from the secret menu: The Dreamweaver. Want to try something new? Want more flavor options than a Peet's or a Starbucks? Give Dutch Bros a try. They've got all sorts of sugary flavors to add, and be sure to google their secret menu. (I don't really get the point of a secret menu, but whatever.) I didn't like that their menu didn't seem to offer a regular mocha that didn't include coconut or some other flavor. The closes that I found that sounded good was the ba-nay-nay which is a dark chocolate mocha with banana flavor as well. It was pretty decent. Not amazing, but different. Very friendly staff. Dutch bros is by far the best coffee shop ever! So many great drinks! Don't let the long line fool you, they will get you through as fast as possible. Even when there is a bit of a wait I completely understand. We are all there for the same thing! Starting with the drinks. Everything I have tried so far has been amazing. I usually tend to stick with the iced americano. But my wife likes to try all different kinds of lemonades (which have all been great so far. Her and my daughter also love the smoothies. The rebels are also very good. Although sometimes a bit much for me. I can't forget about the sizes of the drinks. The medium is just as big as a large at Starbucks. So needless to say the large here is enormous! Not only are the sizes bigger, but they are priced so well! Everything is very cheap! Can't beat it! The customer service here is beyond amazing. You are always greeted with a smile right away! The employees are always more than willing to help and give you suggestions to find out which drink suits you most. Dutch who? Dutch Brothers Coffee thats WHO! All I can say is "where have you been all my life" seriously I have only tried to things here but Dutch Bros is my new favorite coffee joint. These little shacks are drive thru only so don't plan on sitting around and reading like a Starbucks, but man you will get some yummy coffee. Since it was about 102 degrees outside we decided to order a couple of iced drinks. We tried the Double Chocolate and Macadamia iced drinks. First of all the medium iced drinks are served in large cups to accommodate the ice and at $3.75 are a downright bargain. The double chocolate mocha was rich, creamy and decadently chocolatey. The Macadamia was light, crisp and refreshing with a good macadamia flavor. Dutch Bros also has a punch card service and great employees (probably cuz their wired on the great coffee). Very disappointed with this location. I have gone here a handful of times recently and every time they take FOREVER. Doesn't matter how many people are in the line I've always waited at least 20 minutes for a drink. Today was the worst. The employee taking orders on my side. Didn't even look up or acknowledge that we were there in line (or the two other people in front of us). He continued his conversation with another employee. So I got out and walked up instead where he finished his conversation with the other employee before acknowledging me. He left the line unattended to the point it was backed out to the street with people who hadn't had there orders taken so he could continue to chat with the other employee. The best part was they made two of my drinks and then made THREE other cars orders. Before making my last drinks. My other drinks were literally melted before I got the last one. I LOVE DUTCH. I'm a repeat customer at this Dutch Bros location and usually stop by at least twice a week. Usually the customer service is great and only couple times had small issues. Last week 11/28 I ordered their special which was a medium 16oz raspberry truffle and the girl handed me small 12oz x 3 drinks. That wasn't cool because I even showed her the special on my phone. I'm not kidding but it seemed like she was lost in space. She offered new drinks but since I was already startled and in a hurry I said forget it. Told her not to let that happen again. Besides these small issues I still love Dutch Bros and on my last visit which was yesterday I ordered a cotton cane mocha. It was excellent and the cashier was awesome (no screwups this time). On every Tuesday they usually have a deal and on the very first day of every month they'll throw in a free sticker with a drink purchase! It is a RARE occasion that I venture to this part of town, it has really gone down hill (I grew up close by, so it's sad to see!) However, when I am working in the area, I pop in for a sugar free iced drink. Most of the "kids" who work here are BV students, or attend local colleges (and some I even know from providing college outreach to!) Great little location, can be REALLY difficult to navigate the parking lot, especially with a liquor store/convenience store right next door. That usually triggers my back pain with some arthritis mixed with sciatica and headaches. Not a fun one at all... So on my way to Cameron Park I thought i'ld stop by DB's and get me a coffee to keep the headache under control. I love Dutch Bros and never have had a bad experience or service until yesterday. This location you pull into drive thru from Madison Ave. There are no cones directing on how the drive thru line should start from the main road. As we pulled in not blocking traffic exiting nor blocking any cars, but there was a truck who made a half turn directly in front of us to get into the drive through line. The young gal with dirty blonde hair braided asked who was next? We simply replied that the truck in front and to go ahead and take their order. Well she stormed off and told that truck that the drive thru line starts here and then proceeded to tell us the same! We said "really why"? We told her to let that truck go before us! She stormed off and didn't take our order and stormed off to the window at the Dutch building. So for her with attitude to tell us that we had to make a u turn and go to the back of the line (which there was no line) was absurd because not only would other cars from Madison they would have popped into the drive line like we did and now we would be 3-4 cars back! NEVER EVER WOULD I GO TO THIS DUTCH BROS AGAIN! THEY SERIOUSLY NEED TO TRAIN THERE STAFF ON HOW TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS!!
