We've had our Dyson Ball vacuum for a few years and never had a problem until recently where the brush head stopped working. Some online searches showed it could be multiple issues, so instead of attempting something myself and potentially creating another issue I found and decided to take it in to the DSC. I walked in this morning (Wed) and was promptly greeted by Marcus. He took a quick look and started testing out a few things. Accidentally killed my dyson v8 main body. And if you have a cordless dyson you know that there is no way back, so I was prepared for expansive repairs or buying a new one. Official web site has no this part and being honest I thought the model is old so they won`t have it in any way. Support said that they probably will have it in 2 weeks (2 weeks without vacuum with 2 dogs ha!). Well, luckily we have dyson service center, so it was my last resort before spending $$ on a new vacuum. Alex made a magic there!!! My Dyson Animal, about 4 years old, was not doing well. Suction much lower than normal, strange whining sound when the unit was pulled backwards on the carpet. I brought it down to Austin on a Saturday late morning from about 60 miles north, choosing this shop based on the great reviews online. I was met at the door by a gentleman named Alex. Curbside service only at this time. I told him the symptoms, and he sized up the situation in all of 5 seconds. He told me that he'd check the unit out and have it back out to me in 15-20 minutes. Ten minutes later a tap on the window of my car. Alex was finished already. He had to replace the entire brush head (not just the brush) and the two main filters. He also had used an air blower to clean out dander and dust. He told me it was good to go and to "have a nice day!" I asked what the charge was, and I was delighted to learn that he looked up the serial number of the vac and that I was still under warranty. No charge. I ask you... Our dyson air purifier fan cord broke and we brought it in here. What an amazing experience!!! Probably the BEST customer service I have had in a very long time. Thank you so much to I believe his name was William for being beyond helpful in getting us fixed up. This guy really knows his stuff and is genuinely a great person. He took the time to not just replace our fan but also gave us some really great info on some other dyson products and let us try them all out. Such a great experience and a truly great guy. Emailed Dyson when a small part broke on my "Ball" vacuum after ~3.5 years. They quickly replied, asking me if this service center was close by, then providing a "reference" number. Went to said place, guy looked up my account using reference number, and I was in and out in 10 minutes. No complaints. read more

Without a doubt, Dyson has been by far one of the better investments we've made, but inevitably, one will need to replace a battery. Please save yourself any online hassle and head directly to Marcus at the Dyson Service Center in north Austin. Not only did he have our V8 up and running again in no time at all, but he also very kindly took the time to share tips on how to clean and in general take care of our vacuum for a long, happy, extended life. I went to the Dyson Service Center on Feb. 18, 2022, for a problem I was having with my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Alex was very friendly and helpful, AND he repaired my Dyson in less than 15 minutes! He also explained that the only other issue was the filter and explained how to clean it properly and how often it should be cleaned. The short wait (COVID protocol - 2 customers in store at a time) was well worth it as I had anticipated having to drop it off and come back another day to pick it up. We live more than an hour's drive from the location, so this was a huge bonus for us. Store is very clean, manager and other employees very knowledgeable, and very helpful. I had to take my Dyson vacuum in because it was not working. Alex asked if it was registered. It was. And if I owed it less than 2 years. I did not. He took it back to the repair area. He came back and said it just needed a new battery. He gave us some tips on preserving the battery and sent us on our way, new battery installed. No charge. One of the best customer service persons I have ever encountered ~ thanks Alex! You did a great job! You're super friendly, professional & knowledgeable. I was reluctant to bring my vacuum in & had preferred to try & fix it myself. I happened to call on a Monday when they were closed & heard their hours of availability & that it was first come, first served. So, I assumed like many businesses that I'd be lucky to get in & it'd be something crazy like a 2 week wait & wait for parts etc. Not so, Alex said give me 10 - 12 minutes. I said for what? He said, to fix it! lol That's it? Yep! And that was it. And btw, on my model, replacing the internal hose is not an easy task, like it is on the other models - you've got to take the whole thing apart. Not only did he fix my vacuum's internal hose, he also replaced my filters & gave me great advice on my upkeep. I feel like I've got a brand new vacuum, thank you. The roller head on my Dyson vacuum stopped functioning and I decided to take it to the service center to see what they recommend. I was concerned as the vacuum was fairly new and expensive. When I got it into the show Marcus was able to quickly diagnose the issue and replace the head. It turns out the head was burnt out and he reassured me these things happen time to time and that is why they have service centers. Overall I was very happy with the excellent and fast service Marcus provided. since it's inception, they've only had one employee working here. he is unfriendly and not motivated at all to expedite repairs. he disappears in the back for 30-35 minutes at a time. I'm standing in here now and there's six other people waiting. he came out and yelled at everyone and said "y'all know Covid is still going on right? y'all need to be six feet apart, then stormed away. the guy in front of me needed to buy a new charger. that's it. and the process took 25 minutes. this employee may know his stuff, but he's intentionally slow and unmotivated. never going to buy a Dyson again, this is ridiculous. we are currently averaging a 45 minute wait time per customer. read more

I took my V6 in today. Alex was so helpful. You don't need your paperwork if you have registered your product. They just look it up by the serial numbers. They are only allowing 2 customers in a a time, So good social distancing. They repair vacuums while you wait. Have parts available for immediate repair. Glad to have my V 6 back and we are seriously considering a V 11. Don't like the price, but may get one anyway because of the ability to get quick and efficient service if I need it. read more

Alex was AMAZING and replaced the battery and explained to me what was causing the battery to run down. So great to have local people in a great environment. They limit to 2 guests in the shop and masks are required. They were gracious enough to meet with me outside for even better social distancing. I will definitely bring my big Dyson in. There is definitely a need for a Dyson repair shop and it was busy, but seemed a bit expensive. Pleasant staff member, who looked at my Dyson and said it would be over $200 to repair, but offered a couple of models in the shop much more expensive (maybe they were new, but I didn't ask). He not only replaced the part, but then gave our machine a thorough going over, checking the filters, cleaned the dirt receptacle, and made sure there were no issues with our vacuum.
