We had a quick dinner at the bar at E+O one Friday night and had a great time. The place was definitely hopping, but not too busy to be attentive and supportive. Sitting at the bar gave us a great view of other food, which all looked to be pretty appetizing. We had some drinks and a nice chat with the bartender, which made for a good evening. We got 2 bowls, which were fairly normal, but I think we should have went for something a bit more fun as the sushi looked great, so it could have been a miss for us. It's awesome because it's gluten free automatically and they are excellent about accommodating allergies. Super delayed review for a Cincy Restaurant Week experience - but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked E+O Kitchen! I would definitely go back again soon, and bring some family or friends with me. One thing I will note about this location ... plan ahead for parking!! We had a 6:45 p.m. reservation on a Saturday night - while there also happened to be a big rivalry Reds game, and several local Proms. My fiancé dropped me off at the restaurant so I could get to our table on time ... and then it took him nearly 20 minutes to find a parking spot, and another 10 to walk back to the restaurant. If you know you're going to be drinking or heading over to the Banks afterwards, definitely just take an Uber and make it easy. We started off with a couple of their signature cocktails - "Blackberry Bliss" and the "E+O Ocean Water." Our server was completely accommodating when I asked to swap the listed liquors in both for gin. These drinks as delicious as they were stunning - I spent a few minutes just snapping photos of them while I waited for my fiancé to finish up with parking. Their restaurant week offerings were expansive!! It looked like it was practically their whole regular menu, minus the sushi. I'm actually glad we came for restaurant week ... because we're both sushi people, and we might have missed out on some fantastic Asian fusion flavors if we hadn't had a pre-fixe menu. That said, we did order a bit of tuna sashimi to start us off. This was served with white truffle oil and serrano chilis, and it was the perfect mix of light & bright, with just a touch of heat. After that, we feasted on three courses each, for $45 per person. I went with the edamame, the bibb lettuce salad, and the gaucho steak. The edamame was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of salt. The bibb salad was OK - not the best salad I've ever had, but a nice, savory segue into my main course. The gaucho steak was cooked well, and topped with delightfully crispy onions. The only other thing I wanted from this steak was a little more sauce, to really bring everything together. My fiancé ordered the tuna poke tower, the cold Soba noodles, and the lobster fried rice. We both agreed he had the better order ... the tuna poke was fresh and flavorful, the Soba noodles were fun and savory, and the lobster fried rice ... oh my word! This is the only way I will be eating fried rice from now on. The lobster was perfectly cooked, and the sweetness of the meat pairs so well with the soy of the fried rice. If it weren't for restaurant week, a meal with this many courses would have been much more expensive. Even still, you can taste the freshness of this food in every bite - and the quality is evident in the presentation and the service. You get what you pay for, and I'm sure we'll be visiting E+O again very soon. read more

We ordered several sushi plates, yakitori lamb chops, and I had the gochujang steak bowl. The food was okay. It needed a lot of improvement but was passable for being an Asian fusion restaurant. My friend and I also ordered drinks since we felt like ordering cocktails. I recommend the Mindful Paloma drink--it was so, so refreshing. Came here on Christmas Eve since we were visiting for the holidays. The location is great. It is right on the banks with other restaurants and cute looking places. The inside is nice and a little dark so fair warning. First we started out with some cocktails and I forget what it is called but what I got was like a spicy margarita. It was very good with fresh jalapeños. After we ordered drinks we got the spicy garlic edamame. This appetizer was so good! If you like things that are spicy and edamame this is for you. For entrees I got the spiced salmon. This was very good and I was satisfied with my meal. My boyfriend got the lamb chops and they were pretty tasty! Lastly, for dessert we got the key lime pie to split. If you go here and like desserts you have to get the key lime pie! It was probably the best we have ever had! Came here with a large group for Monday 5pm dinner - the hostess started off by telling us that we had to be out of the restaurant by 7pm for another large party which was fine. However, our service was pretty slow even with a relatively empty restaurant so that did not help :') My table ordered the sticky ribs as appetizers (not pictured - they were all eaten immediately!) which were yummy. Mine fell right off the bone and all practically melted into my mouth. I personally did not order a drink, but I did try my friends' watermelon sugar and I can say that tasted just like juice, it was very sweet :) I ordered the gochujang steak bowl (steak medium rare) and I liked it! I think the steak combined with the egg, radish, and gochujang was a nice fusion combo. However, I do wish there was more gochujang; it was smeared on the side of the plate for a more gourmet appearance, but in the end, the gochujang felt like an afterthought. The main part of the dish definitely felt like the egg. I also thought that the portion size was tiny; compared to the other dishes at my table (salmon, rolls, lobster fried rice, etc), me and the others who ordered the gochujang steak bowl finished in only a few minutes, basically 3x faster than the rest of our table! I didn't feel full, so I ended up munching on some spicy edamame that someone else at the table ordered. Overall, I think the food was yummy, but I wish there was more sauce and more generous portions. The service was also slower than I liked but I can understand they were probably preparing for a busy Monday night. I'd like to come back again and try other dishes! read more

Looking for a place to eat before or after the game or even to watch the game? E+O Kitchen is the only spot you need. More then your typical bar food but still not depleting your wallet, this location provides what you need. The staff was tremendously helpful in creating a nice diversified meal experience. Food came out quick, hot and delicious which is what we're looking for. Cocktails were great and they have a full bar to make whatever you desire. There is parking very close to the restaurant both on the street and a garage so even with inclement weather your fears can be allayed. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Broaden your meal. Ordinarily I'm a starter, entrée and desserts kind of guy but not so with this place. Starter, yes, but a Buddha Bowl, and a sushi roll, they were very tasty and helped round out my encounter. 2) Don't skimp on the recommendations. Our waiter suggested both a drink and the salad to us that we were not noticing. Usually I don't follow others advice on my meal but I am glad I did. I'm a huge fan or citrus so this was perfect. For dinner I opted for the Katsu Chicken and my Mr got the Steak Buddha Bowl with fried rice. We didn't wait that long at all. Once we got our meal, we devoured it! I was skeptic with the cold soba noodles but it paired well with the chicken. It was so good. My Mr tore up his meal. My lady and I had been wanting to try this spot for a bit and had a great excuse to do so; we were going see Trombone Shorty in concert at Andrew J. Brady. We were seated pretty much right away and Jared, our server, was there quickly to take our drink order. My lady ordered a prosecco (forgot the brand, but it was really good) and I had a Fifty West Doom Pedal (always a tasty brew). We liked the overall feel of the place. My lady said it felt like a trendy Miami restaurant. Personally, again, I thought the music got a little too loud, and thought the tables were a tad to close together... But I under issues of somewhat confined space in restaurants on The Banks. The menu was loaded with Asian fusian as well as more traditional dishes. The drink menu was bigger than I'd expected. We started off with some sushi in the form of a lemon drop roll. When it came out, even two ladies at a table next to us thought it looked delicious (they later ordered one too). Even better, it tasted as good as it looked. Everything was well balanced and the citrus zest did not overpower at all. As for our main courses, my lady had the katsu chicken, and I had the steak buddha bowl with fried rice. Even with as busy as it was, we didn't wait long at all, and it was all fantastic. The steak in my bowl was cooked to perfection. My lady really loved her katsu and said it was the best she'd ever had. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, but maybe next time. Again, my only two issues were with space and loud music, but that wasn't enough to make me not like the place or consider coming again. Everything else was truly top notch. Spent New Year's Eve dinner with several friends at E + O and was very pleased with the service. It being New Year's Eve I would expect it to be loud and crazy busy. But our server was incredibly patient and thorough when taking all of our orders. I should add that we were right next to the DJ and speakers, so taking our orders I imagined was somewhat challenging. But she was very attentive to food limitations and with a large party, was super friendly and accommodating. Everyone was pleased with their dishes. I've become a huge fan of Shishito Peppers, and I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice which was quite tasty. The DJ they hired was awesome! He had an awesome mix of a playlist. The food was delicious! To start we ordered drinks, my mum had the Paloma and I ordered a beer Kirin ( which was not listed in the menu but the waiter was able to read me the beer options). To eat we ordered the eo famous salad (of course), the fried rice, Miami Vice, and the rainbow roll. All was delicious, the fried was had some dpi I ese to it which made it different. We spent a few hours here while waiting out the rain on Saturday of pig weekend. They obviously weren't staffed for the mad rush of people doing the same, but they still nailed every aspect perfectly. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. It had to be tough with people crowding every inch of the place. I had the sushi and everyone else had a brunch dish. We were all very pleased. Been here a few times and they have not disappointed yet. I usually sit at the bar, order a drink and have dinner there. The service is great, bartenders greet you with a smile and make great drinks.
