    Chicken Kabob

I really enjoyed my meal here--the chicken platter was delicious, and I especially appreciated how fresh all the ingredients were. It comes with a side salad and your choice of one additional side; I went with the quinoa tabouli, which was light, flavorful, and satisfying. The portion sizes were just right, and there's plenty of parking available, which made the visit even more convenient. The location is part of a lively strip mall with a variety of options--there's a Menchie's for a sweet treat afterward and a Sprouts nearby if you need to pick up groceries. While there's no public restroom on-site, I was able to use the facilities at Sprouts without any trouble. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.

Chicken Breast Wrap. So salty and soggy. Fries were overly seasoned.

We were next door grabbing some drinks and were curious about Eagle Rock Kabob. Seeing the high ratings and 4 stars average on Yelp, we decided to grab some takeout. Unfortunately, while our food looked great it was mediocre to terrible. How can you mess up Kabobs? By OVER SALTING and SEASONING the food. The food was so ))))SALTY((( and bitter; pita given with the combos were stale. The owner perhaps needs to re-train his kitchen staff. The great Yelp reviews here did not reflect our experience. Will not return.

This place is so good Glad we came by. Customers service was welcoming and kind and more importantly, food was flavorful and well seasoned. Nothing was dry and portions were great. Next time, I'll try the lamb chops.

They were close to closing thyme when we arrived so the ambiance was closing thyme vibes for sure. But the food was excellent, made to order and delishes. Forgot to photograph the food tho sorry will do next thyme.

Came for a quick bite. It was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon, which is nice when your toddler is running around. Lamb/beef gyro with mini side of your choice for $15. It was excellent and just what I wanted. Ordered the falafel and hummus for aforementioned toddler. Came with lavash. Falafel was very seasoned. Comes with 3 for $8. Good value, took like 10 minutes, everything tasted really fresh. Would come again to try other sides and menu items.

It was getting late, so while I waited for the kid in the car at their activity, I went on The Heights website found an order form and placed an order for some sammies all in 5 minutes. I didn't even ask the hubs or the vegetarian kid what they wanted. I went with what I thought they'd like. 15-minutes later, I was picking the sandwiches up at the walk-in only shop. There was no line and better yet, they were wrapped up and ready to go when I walked in. The smiling lady asked if I wanted napkins or utensils. They have case after case of cold drinks so we picked out a couple of drinks, paid for those and left. It was easy and fast. Enjoyed the yumminess at home. I normally would save a half for another meal but my "Pasadena" hit the spot that I finished it up all at once. Quality bread, meats, cheese, fillings aka all the ingredients...to boot! PS the kid loved theirs and so did the hub. Thanks for making dinner: easy and delicious! There are no pictures because it was too delicious to take the time out and take any. Just order.

Out server Emily was a delight. So friendly and accommodating (and thanks again for the Baklava!) We had the lamb shwarma plate and the fried chicken plate, both with hummus. Also a side of the Za'atar/sumac fries. Fries came out first PIPING hot, crispy, seasoned perfectly nom nom. The entrees quickly followed. The lamb was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. And the fried chicken was AMAZING. Shwarma that is breaded with an amazing mixture and fried. Genius! The plates also came with hummus topped with whole chickpeas (YUM), dilled rice, a cabbage salad and other greens, grilled pita bread, olives and my personal favorite, pickled radishes. Many reviews describe them as beets (which I also love) but these are radishes and they pair so well with the rich meat. An umami bomb! Portions HUGE (we have a full meal waiting in the fridge) and prices very reasonable. Patio is a very fun hang with pretty lights. My only knock is on the chairs which are not exactly "comfy." But that's a trivial issue. Service was attentive and staff so friendly and helpful. I can't remember Emily's colleague's name but shout out to her and her Rasputin's shirt (yay Berkeley vibes.) She was great. We will definitely be back at Dune soon!

Could be because it was Sunday and there was a Farmers Market nearby, but still something to consider. We ordered the Lamb Plate ($26). Portion was solid and the plate is actually pretty interesting -- lots of different sides (flatbread, greens, olives, pickled turnips, etc.), so it doesn't feel boring. That said, the lamb itself was just a few small pieces and it was ground. I would've preferred more actual meat Tried the rosemary lemonade too, but didn't really taste any rosemary. Just a regular lemonade, slightly sweet and sour. Also you pay upfront right after ordering. We sat outside on a small patio facing Glendale Blvd. It's a tight space, and at one point someone from the street was walking around nearby talking to themselves, which made the experience a bit less comfortable. Staff was friendly and service was quick though, no issues there. Also, no public restroom, so keep that in mind. Overall, not bad. I was hungry, so I finished everything pretty fast, but it didn't really stand out enough for me to make a special trip again.

The meatloaf itself was tasty, and no so thick that it made the sandwich hard to eat, while the salad added a nice vinegar-y flavor that worked well with the mayo and mustard. It was also a good sized sandwich. While, as I said, it wasn't too much, it also wasn't too little. No sides or dessert required. I also got an iced latte, as I always do, and while it was flavorful, and thankfully not too milky, it also had a bit too much ice. As for the place itself, it was clean, and had a fun diner vibe. It wasn't huge, which probably means there's lines for brunch on the weekend, but when I went -- noon on a Wednesday -- I waited only a moment, though I did have to sit at the counter. The staff were also really nice, though it did take a moment for my waiter to notice me sitting at the counter. Two other things worth mentioning. First, the napkins were the small, flimsy kind you get from a napkin dispenser, which was an issue because the meatloaf sandwich can be a bit on the messy side. Good thing there one of the napkin dispensers was right in front of me, and full, because I used a lot of them. Second, parking is an issue. It's only street parking; I had to swing around the block a couple times before I found a spot. Which, again, makes me not want to go there on a weekend. Guess I'll just have to wait until another Wednesday to come get that meatloaf sandwich.

Everything has been so good and so fresh! My fav is the Ian Glass by far! It was so good and so filling. The price is pretty fair for a solid sandwich with good ingredients.
