The food is very good! The service was just okay but to be fair we did go on a Saturday morning.

Great food and atmosphere. I have not been disappointed yet. Love there different combinations and there fresh squeezed orange juice.

Food was really good and I appreciate they have a lot of gluten free items. Morning cocktails were okay; we stuck to the bloody Mary's because it's difficult to mess up. The wait is pretty extensive. Recommend getting yourself on the list as fast as possible, especially post-church brunch hours. I docked one star because the service was TERRIBLE. We ordered a couple appetizers and each got our own smaller meal. Every single plate was left on the table on not cleared until after we left. On the way out to California my girlfriend and I stopped at a hotel near Omaha, Nebraska to stay for the night. Next morning we looked for a good place to get breakfast to go for the road and we ended up here. I had the most amazing Denver scramble with delicious toast and my girlfriend ordered a Cobb salad. We were both extremely satisfied and I was able to drive all the way to Salt Lake City without stopping for another meal. If I was ever in town again I would definitely stop by. read more

They are NOT accommodating of service dogs. Do NOT go here. They singled me out and made me feel isolated and shamed for needing a service dog. My dog and I don't look like your typical service dog and owner. She is small so I have the strength to carry her. In the past we were treated like normal people and allowed to sit in the main restaurant in a booth. Now we are only allowed to sit outside in hard chairs. Where my dog can't be right beside me the way she's trained. She is a hypoallergenic dog so using the reason of people being allergic doesn't work. I will not go here again. They must have new management or something because in the past they were always kind and accommodating. Now they treat me like trash. They also didn't cook their eggs right-- my poached eggs were in fact boiled. For a place all about eggs, you'd think they would know how to cook eggs. read more

I've always seen lines at the Farnam location so I thought we'd give the one closer to home a try. I tried to check-in on Yelp on our way but it said to call...when we got there, they used Yelp to check us in. It was drizzling outside and we were offered uncovered patio seating but we declined and were told the wait would be 15-20mins. A couple tables left and they got around to cleaning them but no one appeared to really hustle for now having a couple groups waiting. We ordered pops, allowing our son to order one because the children's menu advised 'includes drink'; we later learned that only included juice. Our cans of pop arrived. I like fountain pop and usually drink more than one at breakfast to give me the caffeine pep needed for the day so it was a huge disappointment. Breakfast was good but not the best we've ever had, especially for the price point. Our server was nice and on point. It'd maybe be a place to meet a friend for brunch but wasn't ideal for our family of four Sunday breakfast. read more

We've all heard the phrase "an early bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". But, I don't think most people can truly understand what it means until they eat at a restaurant like me. I still don't. On the surface, it easy to understand why this place is so highly reviewed by my fellow yelpists. The decor is fashionable, the service is friendly, and the bar menu is extensive. After all, high proof alcohol is a cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast. But under the yuppie veneer, I think the food is average at best. While adding green parsley flakes to a biscuits and gravy may make it look très sophisticated to the average Nebraskan, it doesn't make it taste any better, and definitely doesn't make it worth 22 dollars. That's not to mention the flavorless, soggy loaf of hash brown they serve, which tastes like the culinary equivalent of the chef flipping you the (early) bird. Overall, this breakfast is no better than the food you can get at the HyVee cafeteria across the street for half that price. Plus if you go there you get free refills, and can do your grocery shopping. Talk about killing two early birds with one stone. read more

Fantastic breakfast and brunch with consistent quality and very pleasant service. This is everything you are looking for in the morning. A menu with comfort food (start with some hash holes or cinna booms), omelets, breakfast meats and bloody marys. The portions are big, and I've yet to try anything that doesn't leave us satisfied. read more

I ordered the bird cage here and it was so good! The batter that they used to make the French toast had so much flavor. My boyfriend ordered the el gordo burrito and the flavors were excellent! I went to the Early Bird in Shadow Lake on Saturday and sat at the bar as to avoid a wait. The bartender was very busy, but was very helpful and had a great disposition. The food he recommended was delicious and timely. This was a better experience than any I've had at the Midtown location which I stopped going to even though I live there. Living only a couple blocks away, we gave them a few weeks to get the "new" bugs worked out of the new operation. We went early on a Sunday morning and sat outside on a beautiful morning. After we were seated, that's the last service we saw until I questioned as to why they were serving other customers that came in behind us. Once I pointed out that we were there first, man did they do everything they could to make things right. It was a fantastic breakfast without any issues at all and the food was great! Just okay. Kiddo's waffle was great, if we come again I definitely know what we'll get. Archetype coffee is always good. For the price, though, the pre-cooked scrambled eggs were a bit cold, overdone, and obviously scooped from a large warmer/batch, not cracked fresh. The pecan pie pancakes were served with whipped topping (read cool-whip type flavor) not whipped cream (my fault for not noticing, I guess) and a bit overcooked, enough to taste a bit burnt. Corncob bacon was interesting, and cooked fine. Service was good. Paper disposable menus, employees masked, individual paper salt & pepper on request. No distancing happening with seating, though. Sat at a table that shared a back bench with other tables and all of them around us got filled. I wasn't even an arm's length away from 2-4 other guests by the time our food arrived. Early bird was the second brunch spot we tried after moving to Omaha and we loved it so much it became our weekend staple! I haven't had a single thing on the menu that wasn't amazing. Our first waitress we had at early bird definitely made an impact on us as well. We had asked for some recommendations and she took her time and went through her favorite things from each section of the menu. My husband and I are brunch snobs and Early Bird exceeded our expectations! Everything from the coffee, mimosas, and food were beyond delicious. I was craving a mix of sweet and savory so I had the Chicken and Donut plate. The sausage gravy was the best I've ever tasted. My husband had a giant burrito and ate every bite it was so tasty. We were extremely pleased with the service and only had about a 10 minute wait to get a table. The restaurant was very clean and had an overall bright and airy vibe to it. Came in here with my sis and food and service was great. Portions are pretty big and the menu is massive ! Great place to come in for an early bday celebration or family brunch.
