For the prices of the items offered they should arrive at your table edible. My husband had toast that was warmed bread at best and slathered in butter which made it very soggy. The hash browns were cold and very soft in the middle. They must be made in a big pan because they were over an inch thick. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and also must be made in large quantities at a time. For the price we paid I would have expected a cooked to order meal. We won't be back. read more

Great food, very friendly and attentive service, but the music was TOO LOUD. My friends and I couldn't hear each other across the table and had to ask that it be turned down just a little bit. I was so excited to see Early Bird open a location closer to home for me. This new location has a medium sized dining area with a large outdoor dining space as well. Since it is located at Shadow Lake Shopping Center there is ample parking as well as shops to check out if you find yourself on the waitlist. My husband loves the breakfast burrito and has to get it every time we visit. I have never encountered something on the menu I didn't like. One of my favorites is the Woke omelet which is a steak and pepper omelet topped with chimichurri. It's so good! I like to sub my toast for a pancake or French toast so that I can end with something sweet. No matter what you chose to order here though you can't go wrong! They really offer something for everyone. Aside from food, they also have an extensive list of fun cocktails perfect for brunch. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a cute breakfast/brunch spot. read more

We tried their second location at Shadow Lake and enjoyed our brunch with friends. The kids ate every thing off their plate which says something! Orders were correct and the waitor was thorough and polite. The decor is very similar to the original location and we got to sit in one of the round booths which was fun. The experience lost a star because I was told to check in online via Yelp but I kept getting an error saying they couldn't connect to the restaurant. So I called and they said if that isn't working they can't help in any way but there wasn't a long wait. 5 min. later we get there and the wait is 40 min. Annoying and waiting in the car when its -18° out isn't great. read more

Early Birds food is never disappointing, from a plain scrambled egg to the crab cake Benny it was all delicious! But the part that makes the whole experience great is the service! We had one of the very best waitresses! If you are sitting down and Candis is helping you she will make sure everything is perfect! She definitely is a great person! When I was waiting for my food you could see the staff remembered regulars and was truly taking care of everyone. These guys are awesome! You will NOT be disappointed! I am so glad we got a cool breakfast/lunch establishment in Shadow Lake. Jamie is a great addition to Papillion. His enthusiasm is contagious. Our party tried the Hash Holes (OMG - best I've tasted in all of Omaha), fantastic bacon sampler, fun pancake flight (must try the pecan pancakes), Woke omelette with steak and chimichurri, French toast sticks, and double bacon BBLT. I am always looking for new places to go to. I took my daughter and my 2 granddaughters here. We were escorted to the outside eating where the big windows were up. It was way to cold for that. I ordered bacon and eggs over easy. The eggs were raw and the bacon was burnt. Waitress said that is the only way it comes cause its made in the oven. I like my bacon chewy. I am also a big coffee drinker and usually get a pitchure where ever I go. She didn't come nearly enough to refill the coffee. We spent 70.00 and none of us were really happy. We will never go back there again. It was awful. read more

Really missed the mark. I ordered the chicken and biscuit and the chicken was inedible. It was stretchy and bland. The biscuit was covered in flour so when I went to bite the biscuit I inhaled a mouth full of flour. Server never came back to refill drinks or check on our food. I've been to this establishment before for work brunches and it has always been GREAT but this time I cannot say this is the case. We walked in this morning with our party of 6 around 10am. They were pretty busy, understandably so because the food is AWESOME. As soon as we said we were a party of 6, the hostess rolled her eyes, sighed, and said "I guess we can get you in but it's going to be a wait." After waiting for awhile another hostess informed us that it would be a 1hr and 30 minute wait and we decided to leave, as we felt the size of our party was causing some tensions with the hostess and ultimately we just wanted to have food at a really good establishment. I totally get having busy and rough days, and would have even understood if the hostess just let us know hey, we're busy and there's going to be an extremely long wait, but a little kindness goes a long way! Hope to try again and hopefully have a better experience, as this has never been the case before! I do still recommend to try because typically the customer service is awesome and the food is delicious. read more

3 pancakes with 2 eggs cost 20$ the food was decent despite our food being cold on arrival after a 55 minute wait for it to come out our server was cursing at our table and our waters were empty the whole time we were there ask to speak with a manager twice and no one was ever sent over. Never got an apology or any type of severance for the poor experience overall would never recommend this place. read more
