Went to get thai tea at eastern tales and this is the outside to order thru the kiosk. Getting here was pretty sketchy and dark which was concerning. Definitely go with a partner. Other than that, the drinks were good and enjoyable.

We got the boba drinks here that the owner was super nice, described the making of the teas! It's awesome to know our teas are made with care and thought for what kind of thai tea goes into it. Drinks are a bit pricey but this is very high quality thai tea if you love it. Definitely would go again for thai tea

We were looking for boba and this place popped up on Yelp. It's in an industrial park type of area serving items from several vendors. Interesting experience. No human interaction, just a couple screens, lockers and your phone. We placed our order, waited about 20 minutes and received a text that it was ready for pickup. Scanned using the "find your order" screen and the locker popped open. We ordered the Taro Thai.. it was just ok. Didn't taste much Thai Tea.

We picked up their signature Thai iced tea and a cheese cake slice to try. The tea is smooth and rich with Thai tea flavor. The cheesecake is not too sweet and very tasty. Friendly service and definitely will be back again. Plenty of parking.

This place has been on my list FOREVER but I finally had the chance to see it at - they showed up at the farmer's market in Irvine at Stonegate. A+. Glowing reviewe warranted. The Phuket tea blew my socks off. It tasted like caramel but without all the sugar. I didn't ask for any modifications and it was perfect. The sweets seem well received though I didn't get any this time.

The slice of Thai Tea Basque cheesecake was good though I found their flavor profile much less pronounced that drinking a Thai Iced Tea. You place your order online and pickup from a numbered locker box at this pickup only spot that's part of South Coast Takeout. The area is kinda dark and industrial but at least was manned. The experience was interesting but somewhat lacking in service. They have both a slice and a whole pie available on the website menu. I initially ordered the whole pie, checked out and paid for it but a few minutes later I got a text and email that my order was cancelled and refunded. There was no explanation given or call to tell me why.. and you can't call them. I then ordered just a slice hoping to get at least a taste of this interesting item. This ordered worked and I was able to pick it up. I asked the front attendant at the pickup area but he didn't know why they canceled except maybe they were out of whole pies and had not removed it from the menu availability. I would prefer less ambiguity when ordering.

Really great service, the Taro Thai tea is great, not chalky at all. Tastes high quality. Inside is very cute and very clean. Would come back!

More like a 3.5 but I'm rounding up and will definitely review them again if I get to try their product at an actual Farmer's Market or even they're tabling at. Don't know if being at a ghost kitchen affects any of the quality. I had to swoop into the OC real quick for some Black Friday shopping and decided to get boba from somewhere that I can't get in the 626. I know an oomfie was able to try Eastern Tales at the Lantern Art Expo (sadly they weren't vending when I went) and saw that I can order from them here. Saw from the reviews that it is a ghost kitchen locker, but whatever that's quick and easy, I was seeking that. You simply order from their website, they confirm your order, give you an estimate when it's ready and there is a link that is texted to you. You just open the link and then the locker with your order will pop open. If you want to order at the ghost kitchen, there is a kiosk touch screen where you can do that as well. Took around 10 minutes for my 3 drinks. I got the: Bangkok Thai Tea *Signature*, Phuket Thai Tea *Signature*, and their Eastern Tales Thai Tea. Their Eastern Tales Thai Tea is just their Bangkok Thai tea with some toppings, so I recommend getting one or the other so you can try more. All of their drinks are recommended at 100% sweetness, so I opted for that. BIG mistake, way too sweet for me. I would have gone half if I knew it was going to be that sweet. Had to mix in some milk at home to dilute how sweet everything was. Their Bangkok Thai Tea and by extension their Eastern Tales Thai tea have a sweeter, creamier taste, standard of many Thai tea. Their ETT comes with boba and coconut whipped cream (with some dried coconut bits in it too). I did like the dried coconut bits as it absorbed the flavor of the Thai tea and added some nice texture. Boba was standard in my opinion. I do feel like the toppings added a slightly more "tropical" or "floral" taste to the tea than their standard Bangkok Thai Tea. Of the 3, my favorite was the Phuket Thai tea as it uses a darker roast and gives a stronger Thai tea flavor if that makes sense. Gave it slight caramel/creme brulee finishing note taste that I really liked. Would have enjoyed this much more if I didn't do the recommended 100% sweet. All in all, IYKYK, there are some big dogs out there for the Thai tea market and I say Eastern Tales falls a bit short in term of tastiness and uniqueness of their teas. I don't mind giving them a try at an event, with adjusting the sweetness in mind, as well as trying some of their pastries/baked goods.

Loved the selection of sweets and drinks. Tried the Tea Flight, tasting a bit of each drink and didnt know that theres a Phuket version of thai tea vs Bangkok, both were pretty good. The kids loved the strawberry cheesecake bingsu. Also got a thick pandan cookie, yum...!!! Service was also great. Soft opening!

We went to their actual location in Samta Ana and it was a building with an Amazon locker. You can order online or on the tablet and it opens up like an Amazon locker delivery. Super interesting. There is one guy at the front but otherwise, it's a no-contact location. Nowhere to sit either so it's takeout only. Or you can drink in the car like my friend. Fantastic thai tea though. Really elevated and deepened the flavor. My favorite was the Phuket as it tasted like a dark roast and had a really strong tea flavor. Lychee lime thai tea was also really unique and flavorful. I recommend 50% sugar though as it is sweet. Definitely recommend for anyone who is a fan of thai tea and tea in general.

Eastern Tales was a delightful highlight of the Los Angeles Lantern Art Expo, especially since I had been eager to try their Thai tea-inspired drinks and desserts. With their unique offerings available only through online ordering and pick-up at a ghost kitchen, I was thrilled to finally experience them in person. The staff was incredibly kind, generously offering samples of all their drinks, and I loved every single one! As a Thai tea enthusiast, their creative concept resonated with me. I ultimately indulged in the Thai tea burnt basque cheesecake, Coconut Chiffon, and the refreshing Lychee Lime Thai tea--each bite and sip was simply delicious. I can't wait to explore more of their menu! Go see them at the Los Angeles Lantern Art Expo!!! I'm definitely going back and ordering online!

We stumbled upon Eastern Tales Thai Tea at the Brea Farmers Market and oh. my. god. This is hands down the BEST Thai tea I've ever had. Perfectly balanced--not too sweet, super creamy, and with such a rich, authentic flavor. You can really tell they put love into every cup. They're a pop-up, so you can catch them at different events around Orange County, and they currently have two locations--one in Santa Ana and another in Fountain Valley. Definitely worth tracking down if you're a Thai tea fan (or even if you're not... yet). So glad we found them--we're officially hooked!

OVERALL : There is no shortage of boba in OC, but I thought this place was really unique because they just specialize in thai milk /fruit teas! They've been doing pop ups at the farmer's market and night markets in the area, but I was near their ghost kitchen pick up spot one day so decided to try. I ordered online via the website and they had a BOGO deal, so I ended up getting 4 drinks. Since they are a ghost kitchen, there was no real interaction with a person, but the drinks were carefully packaged in individual bags and labeled clearly so that was a nice touch. PARKING : Ghost Kitchen pickup spot, so there was a small lot. Doesn't really get crowded since ppl just come pick up their food and go. FOOD/DRINKS : Bangkok Thai Tea - classic thai tea - Suuuuper creamy and strong! I got 75% sweet but honestly I could've gotten away with 50% bc I don't like my drinks too sweet. I feel like this was more of a dessert drink to me just bc of how decadent it was Strawberry Serenade - thai tea + milk + strawberry puree - low-key reminded me of strawberry milk from my childhood? I couldn't taste the thai tea much in this one bc the strawberry milk flavor was the most prominent. I'd get less sweet next time as well though Thai Tea Orange Creamsicle - orange tea + cream top - my fav thing that I got here! The orange tea was refreshing and the cream top did make it taste like a creamsicle when mixed in Taro Thai Milk Tea - thai tea + taro milk tea - similar to the strawberry drink, the thai tea flavor was less prominent here bc the taro milk tea was the main flavor. Not a bad thing if you like taro, but personally I'd want to taste more of the thai tea Overall all the drinks were creamy and rich, but I'd def get less sweet for everything! I think their BOGO deal is a great way to get multiple diff drinks like I did and see which one you like most!

MISLEADING ADVERTISEMENT FOR WORLDCUP MAGNET PROMO!!!!…read more Hey Tea has a promotion stating "BUY 2 Drinks and get a random worldcup magnet" so my daughter asked that we go. I don't like bubble tea but to honor her request to get these cute little magnets we went out of our way to get some tea yesterday. When we arrived, there was a sign in the window showing the promo - NO WHERE STATING YOU HAD TO PLACE IN PERSON ORDER RATHER THAN APP. So out of convenience, although there was hardly a line when we arrived, we ordered two orders of two drinks via the app. We waited over 30 mins for those drinks. To our regrettable surprise, the girl who handed us the drinks said the magnets were only included in the orders placed in person. We said no one said that nor was it advertised anywhere otherwise we would have placed in person. WHAT DOES IT MATTER REGARDLESS? MONEY IS MONEY AND EVERYONE HAS TO WAIT IN PERSON TO PU. We asked for the magnets since we didn't know. THEY COLDLY DECLINED GIVIBG US TWO MAGNETS WHICH PROBABLY COST THEM $0.10 Each BUT COST US $25 + OVER 30 Mins AND RUINED MY DAUGHTER'S EXCITEMENT AND JOY OF RECEIVING THE WORLD CUP MAGNETS. How cold and disrespectful. First of all - very misleading and doesn't even make sense. We would never have made that trip if it weren't for that promo and you couldn't even give us two magnets? Ridiculous. While I appreciate the business manager feedback, the appropriate response would be "we apologize for the lack of communication - please come by to receive two magnets".

It's smooth, creamy, and definitely on the sweeter side, so I usually come here to get it as a dessert or smoothie rather than a traditional tea. The cheese foam adds a slightly salty finish that balances the sweetness really well. We also tried the Peach Yogurt Yakult. The Yakult flavor came through nicely, and it wasn't overly sweet. The only complaint was the peach pieces. They settled at the bottom and didn't really blend with the drink, even after stirring. If I were to order it again, but I could do without the peach bits.
