Went here for brunch on July 4th with some friends. The service was great; our waitress was very sweet. It's visually appealing as well, but I wish they had AC. They had fans but it was still hot; I'm not sure how the staff is surviving in this heat. We got the bottomless mimosas option and I love that they kept the drinks flowing. Unfortunately, I didn't like my food. I chose the shrimp and grits and it didn't seem like they understood this classic dish. The shrimps were good alone but the grits were very thick and dry. There was no sauce so I asked the waitress if there was a sauce that could be added. They brought something that they whisked up but it still fell short. Oh Easy Company, how I wanted more. Rolled down to DC to have a proper "bottomless brunch" and Easy Company felt like a great decision. It's right by the wharf so you get a beautiful inside outside vibe going when they open the large restaurant windows. Now, I went with a party of 5 on one of the hottest days in June. Their hvac system had been blown for about a month. No word on their website just a heads up from the waitress. Now, they had portable ACs chilling in random corners but nah not when it's baking outside. I def felt for the servers they were going through it. The food: So we all got the buffet style brunch and an entree. The food was okay, I wasn't wowed but I was also hungry lol. Kinda sucks you can't take your entree to-go but I digress. I had dinner there last night and I can't say enough good things. The most notable, though, is their exceptional service, which is not typically DC's strong suit. The server was attentive but not disruptive and he followed up with additional information when we asked a question about the menu. I was a bit chilly so I put my jacket over my shoulders and within minutes the manager came over to adjust the temperature in the room, closing windows and turning heaters on nearby. My friend searched high and low for a great spot she saw on TikTok to commemorate our Memorial Day Weekend in DC. After tracking down the video, it turned out to be this establishment: Easy Company. It. Is. Stunning inside. The our waiter was so professional while balancing a lot of customers at once (we all came in from the incoming rain). We ordered the calamari, burrata, grilled salmon, and pasta. All were made excellently. I particularly enjoyed their lemon drops; perfectly balanced and chilled. My friend said the frose was great. The Warf is a bustling place with many places to eat however, I'm super glad we stopped in at the Easy Company! This trendy wine bar and brunch spot also serves an amazing dinner service. The interior of the restaurant was cool with open air to the patio which outside was in view of the water from the table. The host and the servers were all incredibly helpful, and very friendly. We were quickly seated without a reservation despite being packed. Our waiter was an amazing resource and helped us navigate the menu. I took full advantage of my final dinner here in DC to make sure that I had a dish with seafood, and enjoyed the Tagliatelle Pasta with Creamy Vodka Sauce. The dish was perfect, the pasta was al dente, the vodka sauce was the right consistency, and the shrimp were tasty and well made. I really enjoyed the meal as well as the atmosphere. At the end of the meal they brought us really cute little popsicles, which I forgot to get a picture of. Overall, the experience was great, the food was quick to come out and despite being very busy, they kept everything moving. I visited your restaurant yesterday at 6:30 pm. I walked in to use the restroom and was aggressively approached by a young white male employee. The employee asked me if I was a patron and I responded by saying not yet. He said you must be a patron before using the restroom. At that point, I asked to speak to a manager. A black male employee approached me and also aggressively asked me if I were a patron. My response was that you and your staff have not even given me an opportunity to be a patron. I then left the restaurant. Moments later I observed a white male with a yellow shirt walk in the restaurant and headed directly to the restroom without being questioned by your staff. I then returned inside to have a conversation with the manager about this practice of racism. The black male quickly went into a room marked private and slammed the door. He then called the property security. He told the security officer that I was stumbling and going in and out of the restaurant. I approached the security to defend my position. The security issue was resolved and I left the restaurant. This is just a tourist trap. We had reservations on a chilly, rainy night so the restaurant was busy but not packed. We were sat at a table way in the back , cramped between 2 other tables. I ask the host if we could get a better table and he ask if we would like the enclosed patio. It was nice so I said yes. He, very rudely said, well you ask for inside on your reservations. Clearly there is a difference from outside, which they do have, and enclosed patio. Then our waiter, an older gentleman, was terrible. The drinks were not good and the food was mediocre. Everyone in my party agreed. I don't mind paying good money for a good meal, but not for bad service and a mediocre meal!!' Have been here for both happy hour and dinner and never been disappointed. Better Hospitality group continuously brings top notch product and service , particularly for larger groups. Recently organized a 25 person group on short notice and was able to get an exceptionally nice and private outdoor area (before it got too hot for the summer !) , with fast service and regular menus (other places were forcing us to go with watered down prix fixe). This is a really cool wine bar in the Wharf that may be worth the trip! I dislike most of the places in the area because they feel very tourist-centric, but I really liked Easy Company - they have a great happy hour deal with delicious wine-based cocktails, wine, and frose. However, I will warn that you should not come here for a cheap beer- you won't find it (even Miller Light is $9). The restaurant is super cute and has a nice indoor outdoor set up that would be perfect for nice weather! A few downsides make this not a five star experience. First, I wanted to try some of their food but unfortunately my order was never entered into the system. So after waiting a while, we got the bill and left. Second, the wait staff was very strange - the bartender offered my husband a free cocktail that we had seen somebody a couple of seats over drink and then send back (ew!). We started with the Blistered Shishito Peppers and the Spicy Whipped Hummus - both were delicious and honestly exceeded our expectations for this place. For our entrees, I ordered the San Marzano Tomato Flatbread, which was basically a standard pizza-type flatbread, and my husband ordered the BHG Burger, which he said was solid.
