I went to brunch at Easy Company on a Sunday at 1pm. My best friend and I were lucky enough to find street parking close by so we arrived a few minutes early. Upon arrival we were greeted by the host and seated in the patio immediately. The patio is bright with floor to tall windows, heat lamps and lovely decor, we sat at a table along the interior and had a view of the buffet which wasn't the best but hear a heat lamp. We looked over the menu and opted not to do the bottomless option because we wanted to try their brunch cocktails and didn't see the value in paying more for biscuits and bacon. We both ordered the brunch burger (sub salad for my friend). The burgers came out wrong for the first iteration which was disappointing because we were starving but the corrected order came out about 10 minutes later. The manager came around to check in with each table and she was friendly and attentive. I tried their take on an aeperol spritz but the orange liquor was overbearing and too th I'm so I asked to change it to a rosé Prosecco. My friend had two cocktails that were refreshing, crisp and light. Overall we liked Easy Company but I think I expected a more creative take on drinks, cocktails and food since this is a wine bar. I had high hopes for this new addition to the Wharf. Unfortunately, when I tried it for brunch my experience was sub-par. Pros: The restaurant is in a great location with nice views. It's also very cute--you can tell a lot of thought was put into the setup and decor (perfect for your Instagram feed). Cons: The brunch food was really mediocre and I felt like I wasted my money. My friend and I paid for the "bottomless brunch" which is $35 for food (or $65 if you add bottomless mimosas). It comes with unlimited trips to the buffet and one brunch entree of your choice. This sounds like an ok deal, but the buffet was absolutely terrible. It only had a few items and felt like a buffet at a mid level hotel-- generic breakfast potatoes, hard biscuits, overcooked greasy bacon. I got a burger from the brunch menu that was fine (although not amazing because it was seriously overcooked despite asking for medium). However, given how terrible the buffet was, I would have been fine with just the burger (which on its own was cheaper). So, I felt like I basically paid for a "bottomless brunch" that I could have really lived without. Honestly, it seems like the "bottomless brunch" is just a quick way for the restaurant to make an extra $10-$15 off of each person at the table without having to put in much effort. The only real bright spot was my lemon martini--highly recommend. The other issue is that they're very rule focused, which may come from being a new business. So, for example they reminded us more than once of the time limit on our table (which is 90 minutes for brunch). We weren't necessarily trying to stay longer than that, but also being reminded that you can't stay long is irritating. Also, they will only let you have the bottomless brunch if everyone at your table gets it, so you may sort of be pressured into getting something you don't want depending on the party you're with. Bottom line: I definitely won't be returning for brunch, too many other options in D.C. However, given that this place does describe itself as a wine bar I might return for drinks, enjoy the location, and skip the food. read more

I don't typically leave reviews but I went here with a friend to have some drinks and something to eat. We were the only two people at the bar and there were only two other people in the entire restaurant. The bartender served us two glasses of wine when we first sat down, but from then on we kept having to flag people down to order food or another round of drinks. We were rarely checked on and saw the bartender on their phone multiple times while waiting to order more drinks. Our last two glasses of wine were served to us in a measurer and we were told to "fight amongst ourselves" and left it there to pour for ourselves. Easy Company is right on the Wharf, the restaurant itself is so pretty! We were seated in the Rosé Garden, which was warm and super cute. I loved everything about it. I ordered a burger and fries and it was so good, it's hard to mess up a burger though lol. My friends got the salmon and risotto and the branzino. The salmon and risotto was just okay to me, it was lacking flavor. My friend really enjoyed her branzino though! The service was good! I went on a Wednesday night so it was relatively empty with fast service, no complaints there. Nice ambiance, very cute atrium. I got the smoked salmon salad, which was decent. I'd get it again. I'm writing this review, however, because their drink menu is bizarre and the espresso martini is actually a crime. The menu says "Espresso Martini: Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Baileys, cardamom, caramel". Those all sound like a lovely addition to espresso. However there was no espresso in the drink, and there wasn't enough Kahlua to make it taste like coffee at all. It felt like I was drinking heavy cream. Why would they make this. How can you call something an espresso martini when there is no espresso in the room with us? My friend got the frosé and said the taste of cheap Vodka was overpowering. We wanted to drink more but they've taken creative liberties with classics and we didn't trust it. The Lemon Drop, for example, is a Ginger Lemon Drop. The Moscow Mule contains grapefruit--and we were told they were out of Moscow Mule ingredients for the night anyway. Overall, not bad, but I went for drinks with the girls and espresso martinis are a must in the city right now. I cannot go back until they fix this travesty. The rosé garden is a patio with an Ivy-adorned ceiling. The patio is an open window selection and you will be subject to the elements. The weekend brunch spans a bottomless menu and mimosa selection. Patrons can choose from a breakfast entree and add on buffet style sides. Bottomless mimosas are served in a carafe and filled to your contentment. Bottomless selections are all for one and one for all. Everyone at the table just select the option for anyone to receive. Every table has a 90-minute window to indulge and be rolled out by friends. This will be a very fair and honest review. I initially saw this place on TikTok. I do not usually patronize viral restaurants because every-time I go the food and service severely lacks. However I decided to try this one out, I decided to go this evening ( 9/1) to celebrate my birthday month and participate in restaurant week. Also, the restaurant was pretty empty compared to the rest of the restaurants at the wharf. So I'll start with when I walked in I immediately sat at the bar to which a young lady with blonde hair said hello and slid ( literally slid it across the bar didn't hand it to me at all, or even look at me twice) a menu to me at the bar, and then walked away. I did not receive water. She did not ask me how I was doing. She did not give me a plate or utensils she barely looked me in the face. After 15 minutes of being ignored, I decided to leave however, I left my jacket and came back inside to which I continue to sit down as I was researching the next restaurant that I would go to. However, Carlos came up and asked me if I needed anything to which I responded, the previous bartender essentially ignored me for almost 20 minutes he gave me an excuse, saying that she was overwhelmed. She was the only bartender, however, the restaurant was not busy and also as a customer that's none of my business or concern. Respectfully, that should've been something that the manager or shift manager should have been able to assist her with. To be honest, although Carlos was extremely nice, I really don't think he cared to save my experience. The damage was already done as I continued to dine at the restaurant I did notice the interactions that the previous bartender was having with the people who walked in, and I noticed the individuals who walked in, didn't look like me. She made sure to ask everyone if the needed water, she made sure to speak to them look at them, give them menus and touch base with them even the people that were there prior to me. Essentially, when I asked her to do her job, she ignored me and continue to ignore me the remainder of my time she never attempted to apologize she never once even looked at me. Actually, she avoided looking at me. Regarding the food... All in all the vegetables need seasoning, but the tatziki dip and steak Frites were extremely tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised that my steak was cooked to a perfect medium. However, I will never come back here due to treatment and although Carlos was nice, he didn't really attempt to rectify her issue either but that's not his job to be honest. The restaurant is participating in restaurant week offering a three course meal at $55. I did eat from the restaurant week menu, but. I still spent $145 to include the 25% tip that I gave the bartenders that didn't deserve it. Although the food was good, I'll be honest when I come out to eat now in this day and age during the inflation, I really expect a food experience meaning food that taste well that's plated well in service that is beyond amazing and this particular case I didn't really get any of that Even when my food was being served, it wasn't being served directly to me. It was being served next to me where no one was sitting. This restaurant was extremely awkward and I will literally never come back here for any reason not even brunch as I just realized they are brunch is also served as a buffet style... The food was delicious, ambiance is beautiful and breazy, and the service by the entire team was excellent. Would not recommend. Had reservations with a few girlfriends on a Friday night. Ordered calamari and mussels for the table and a smoked salmon salad for myself. Both the mussels and the salmon salad were flavorless. One of my friends ordered the same salad and agreed that it was meh, so she requested more dressing. The bread that came with the calamari was rock solid. I shared with the waitress that I was not enjoying my salad so she asked if I would like to have it removed. I said sure and proceeded to dabble in the leftover calamari. She also asked if I would like a different entree, I declined. I wrapped this experience with an ice cream sundae that was half melted when it arrived to the table. Given the current state of our climate, I will not complain however, the only thing remotely enjoyable about this experience was the Prosecco I began with. This dining experience ended with me noticing that the smoked salmon salad was still on the tab. I inquired and the waitress said, oh, when I asked if you wanted it removed, I meant from the table. Ha! Service was decent up until this point. I was drained by the mugginess of the evening to even make this a full blown discussion but had I decided to order another entree in its place, would I have been paying for two? All in all, easy company gave me easily underwhelmed, easily taking my patronage elsewhere!! It was giving lunchroom bagged salad basic. This couldn't have been prepared by a trained chef. I went here for brunch with two friends. It was was going to be a pretty hot day so we chose dining room seating over the rose garden when making our reservations. Cons: Unfortunately, this was a really hot day and the indoor seating was not super distinguished from the outdoor seating. Garage doors were the only barrier between the indoor and outdoor seating and they were all open. On a beautiful day, this would not have been a problem but it was pretty hot that day. Also the food was just ok with limited options. Pros: The location is great and the decor is beautiful. I came for a birthday dinner but couldn't leave without shouting out Chris. He was such a wonderful server. For a big group he was so attentive and really took care of each of us. All requests were answered and never delayed. Greatly appreciated him going out of his way to take group pictures and even turn on the heat. Those things are bonuses and he did them without hesitation. He was great and will definitely be back just from his service alone. Went for dinner and it was so mid. Only thing that saved the day was the spicy margarita bartender did his thing but the food was....not worth the money. Was better off making something at home. I had the mushroom flatbread, was pretty good, nothing amazing, especially not for $20. The chicken and potatoes was terrible, i had no other option than to send it back. The potatoes were undercooked and the chicken was so unseasoned. Replaced that meal with the vodka sauce pasta and it tasted like pasta you'd eat at a Dave & busters.. A quality establishment. It's worth visiting if you've already ran through DC's restaurant scene and want something new. Located on the wharf, it has a great view of the marina and provided a modern classical design and style that is soon becoming DC's staple. The drinks were ok, typical DC prices and DC quality. The food was ok as well. Portions were proper, but were slightly steep in price. I wouldn't come back here, but I also wouldn't talk badly about this place. Service was a bit slow, but it was a packed house for Saturday Brunch (I ordered off the regular menu, brunch menu looked like continental breakfast). Overall, very average. I was really excited to try this new restaurant at the wharf but unfortunately my experience did not meet my expectations. We sat on the semi enclosed patio on an unseasonably warm Thursday night in February so understandably it was very busy. Reservations are essential especially on a nice day. We enjoyed the atmosphere but they must still be working out kinks in their ordering system/service because our service was extremely slow. We had to get up from the table to flag down our server every single time we wanted to order something and it was not easy. We actually ended up having to flag down the manager to get our bill because our server was no where to be seen. We didn't end up getting wine to our table until about 45 minutes after we were seated. Considering it is primarily a wine bar, we were surprised long it took for our wine to come and there was no apology or even acknowledgement of the slow service. We were also not the only ones who waited so long because the table next to us didn't get their bottle of wine until closer to an hour after they were seated. Even though we were quite disappointed in the slow service, we did enjoy the food--especially the prosciutto and fontina panini which delicious with the sweetness of the fig jam complimenting the saltiness of the prosciutto and fontina nicely. We upgraded the fries to add truffle and Parmesan topping which was also delicious. The Cesar salad was also good but it was just a typical simple Cesar. I unfortunately will likely not be back until they improve their systems to ensure a better service. read more

We had such a wonderful dinner here before seeing a concert at the Anthem! The host was so kind and offered us a wonderful seat near the water. We ordered the shishito peppers (so good) to start and then the crab cake (very good) and BHG burger (delicious). Easy company is a neighborhood restaurant. I've been there a few times and I always get a burger because they have great burger and fries. Unfortunately this changed and ironically, so did management. Our beloved Michael, is no longer there. The new Manager brings me a burger that has wilted lettuce, wilted, tomatoes, soggy pickles, and the cheese had been on the burger for a minute. Bottom line is I get a leftover burger from somewhere. I bought two which cost me close to $40. They don't have to worry about me coming there again. There's several restaurants right in the same vicinity that have great burgers. Goodbye, Easy Company!
