I read many reviews of resturants before selecting Eden to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The one pet peeve I have is being rushed...I like a cocktail (Martini) before even thinking about looking at the menu. I asked for a booth, via open table, fantastic! Afords a little privacy for that special evening. Our wiatress was great, Allison. Minor infractions....Food was great, we stared with the full cheese board, 8 cheese's and a fantastic bottle of white Bordeaux, both of us ordered the fillet and I ordered a fantastic glass of red wine to go with it (Orogeny, Pino Noir) Amazing! Finished with a shared dessert, Creme brûlée, it was just ok..All in all, it was great! read more

We always visit Eden when visiting Rehoboth Beach. Went over Labor Day Weekend, 2018 and it came through again.

Food is below average, service fair. Had dinner this past weekend...bad choice. The soup (which was very watered down and tasteless) arrived at the same time as the entrees. Both entrees were cold and unappealing. Will not return. read more

The service was great, so accommodating and perfectly timed, but the food was just amazing. Even a simple cheese plate to start was fantastic, with perfectly chosen cheeses that were each divine on their own, but combined were just fantastic. Then the spinach salad or pork meatballs as an appetizer, the scottish salmon over chorizo risotto (never thought that pairing would be so good) and finally a delicious banana pudding. Just found my new favorite restaurant at Rehoboth after 9 years coming here, and maybe my favorite restaurant in general too!! read more

Eden used to be great. What happened to this restaurant? We have been coming here a few times each season, but our last visit on a Saturday night was sorrowful. We were given large bread plates and 3 tiny slices of bread (if you can call it that-- no bread basket or rolls). For an appetizer, I had the cured ahi tuna. Imagine a slice of sashimi microtomed. For $12?? And barely any flavor. I also had the sea scallops that evening. There were 3 rubbery, overcooked scallops for $33.00 At $11 per scallop, these should have been impeccably prepared. Ny partner began with the special greens salad that was outrageously small and overpriced. The filet mignon was a nice sized portion, cooked to medium as requested, but devoid of flavor, and not at all tender as a good filet should be. Desserts were nice-- the crepes and the cheese plate were good, but we were disappointed. Perhaps a bad night; perhaps an attempt to control costs, but at these prices there are now better values in Rehoboth. Blue Moon remains a gem. Also check out the Henlopen City Oyster House for great value. read more

Great food, great service. The entire staff was fun, friendly, and real. By the time we left, the entire dining room (patrons, staff, everyone) was laughing. We were having such a good time, I forgot to take my credit card; when we returned the next afternoon to retrieve it, we shared another great laugh with the staff. And, yeah, the key lime pie is some of the best I've ever had. read more

i had a fabulous dinner at eden while at the beach. (yes a lot of these recent reviews are ALL from my beach vacation on the east coast!) we sat outside at a cute table right by the sidewalk. they have a few outside tables downstairs, but also upstairs there is another whole patio that they open up on the weekends that i heard is nice too. my ruby drink - like a greyhound, but with ruby red grapefruit juice - was delicious and refreshing. their wine list was great too - very diverse. i started with the shrimp and pea shoot salad, and my cousin who i was there with had the grilled caesar salad. this is apparently one of their specialties - a warm salad, they grill the romaine lettuce before serving it. it looked great! my shrimp and pea shoots were yummy too. for dinner i had the salmon special and my cousin had the chicken. she said the chicken was good, nothing to write home about, but very well prepared and flavorful. i loved my salmon, which came with tomatoes, corn, and white beans, in a delicious sauce. our service was great - we wanted to take our time, and i never felt that our waiter rushed us, and he accommodated our other cousin and her boyfriend who joined us at the end for dessert. key lime pie - yum! we also had cappucinos that were tasty. i love this place, and recommended to my parents to go the next night, and they raved about it too! read more

Was here last night. Stopped in after just walking around exploring and we were wearing just regualr clothes and not "fancy" ones. I guess that was our mistake. It was a classy place, really beautiful inside and outside with pleasant music. Our waiter had a few other tables, with older couples that he gave much much more attention to. That was his mistake, as my husband and I often tip big. I asked if I could get the mac without the chicken and he said he would ask the kitchen and let me know. 20 min of our waiter ignoring us, he came back with no answer so I ordered the only thing on the menu that was vegetarian. My husband got a filet mignon and I got a flatbread. After 45 min of waiting, our waiter came by and dropped off our food that was obviously sitting there for a while. The potatoes were cold and my cheese was hardened. Food was NOT bad. For $70, however, we expected to be at least given good service. Also we had to ask the hostess for our check. Yikes. read more

My wife and I had a fabulous dining experience on our anniversary at Eden. It was a very quite evening and the owners took care of our every need. The meal was absolutely wonderful . . . Eden deserves all 5 stars from our family for the delicious food and professional staff. We had spent the weekend being underwhelmed by the greasy, ill prepared, and Out-of-bag food options on the board walk and beyond, and we were craving delicious food! Eden did not disappoint. First they accommodated us and our cranky post-beach exhausted kids! Kid number one selected a flat bread and inhaled it. For kid number 2 they adjusted their adult Mac and cheese for a kid. The béchamel sauce was creamy and flavorful and our 3 year old could not get enough. The food, overall, was skillfully prepared. Highlights included the gazpacho, the crab fritters and the lobster stack. We appreciated the waiter's pairing suggestions because we were too tired to think! Save room for the chocolate candy bar dessert, paired with a port... Heaven. A word about Wayde, our waiter. He was professional and accommodating from start to finish. He treated our kids with extra understanding with out getting annoyed or overwhelmed with their less than restaurant like behavior. He never missed a beat. From bringing extra bread with truffle butter to feed the hungry little stomachs, to ensuring the food got to our table quickly and correctly. He kept the kiddies happy and allowed mommy and daddy to have one decent meal in Rehoboth!!! read more

Instead of getting "Eden" at this restaurant, my experience there was "Forbidden." We made a reservation and ate here on August 13, 2016, to celebrate our fifth anniversary. The reviews were good and we were looking for a special, romantic place. While my husband was parking the car (parking is difficult to find), I walked inside to get seated. The hostess showed me to the table by the door. I said, "We noted this was our anniversary in the reservation. Do you have anything more scenic?" She said, "No, we have you here." So, there we sat by the door in the most unromantic and busy place in the whole restaurant. My husband loved his Char fish entree. But nothing about the experience was positive for me. Here are the other reasons I rate this place a one-star: 1) the $16 martini cocktail I ordered was supposed to be a mixture of pineapple, strawberry, blackberry and blueberry juices. The drink tasted like a bad pre-mix. Not fresh, fruity. I didn't even finish it. My husband drank it, not wanting to waste it. 2) the salad I ordered was supposed to be kale, spinach, and arugula. I got a small scoop of arugula with a bit of spinach and not one kale leaf to be found. It was such an overpriced disappointment. 3) the bread was stale and cold. The top side was hard and the underside was softer which told me it had been sitting out for a while. I asked for more. The second little plate of sliced french bread was okay. Not delicious--and I'm bread lover so it's hard for me not to embrace a piece of bread. 4) I heard the waiter at the next table tell his guests about all the specials and treat his patrons special. But not our waiter. He didn't engage. Just told us the bare minimum about the food. 5) I ordered the panfried chicken. It was fatty and bland-tasting. I didn't finish that either. 6) I ordered a side of mashed potatoes. They didn't come out with the meal. When they arrived, they were tasty but cold. I was so over that meal. 7) We split a piece of the key lime pie for dessert. My husband said it was good. I would have thought the management would give us something gratis for our special occasion. We looked beautiful in our stylish dress clothes. All in all, it was a waste to travel all the way to Rehoboth from Ocean City to patron Eden. I'm still shaking my head about the great expense for the mediocre tasting food and off-handed treatment. read more

we were just walking by and decided to try it. had I known earlier, I would have made a reservation so I could get one of their super-cool curtain covered booths along the wall. Even still, the atmosphere is beautiful and a little upper scale (although we were dressed pretty downscale and welcomed), but definitely not a place for young kids (which was a huge plus for me!!). The food selection was tasty and interesting and the service was excellent. A little pricey, but particularly if you want a super nice meal, this is the place to go. read more

Good and bad - food was tasty, except for the. Chicken cordon bleu. The lobster, crab and mango salsa tower was very good. However, my grouper was literally miniscule, basically it was a 2 in. Piece. Our seating was terrible but it was our fault for not asking for another table. We did ask the server for two things - to find out if the grouper was local and my husband had requested a small dessert to be brought for my birthday. Neither happened. So no, at $31 an entre, I would never recommend Eden unless I had rated it 5 stars. $280 for 5 entrees and 2 appetizers - no cocktails or desserts - one $41 bottle of wine. This place is fine but neither a gourmet or a Eden place for the food, the venison was burned outside and overcooked inside, the desert was like a piece of cornbread from a supermarket with a scoop of coconut ice cream....So again you can dine here but hard to know where is the Chef touch and don't expect anything divine, the decoration is nice then. read more

Hubby and I just had another AMAZING dinner at Eden. Artisanal cheeses (beemer with honey truffle is my favorite!), smokey tomato soup as well as scallops with homemade linguine with carbonara sauce for an entree. Sooo delicious! Disappointing New Year's Eve this year, last year was perfect as have most of our many other meals, this was a big let down. I know the trend is to mix sweet and savory, I am not a fan. Honey butter on garlic bread ? Ugh. Why not take that garlic bread and grill it to top the lackluster grilled Cesar salad that was without croutons, instead a big glob of what tasted like tomato paste-was I supposed to stir that into dressing? Lamb shank was nice and tender if a bit lacking in flavor but Parmesan risotto was really bad, starchy, tasteless, undercooked. Desserts were good but my hubby would not eat crust on key lime pie because of the seeds in it. My biggest gripe is how they rush you, when I pay upwards of $200 for dinner I would like to use some more of the allotted two hours. Wound up holding my loaded salad fork so they would all stop bugging us to take salad away. I thought the wine pairing was a nice idea. read more

My fiancé and I visited Eden while on our annual trip to Rehoboth. This was our second time at the establishment. Sadly, the experience was not a good one. The bartender was having a disagreement with what seemed to be a well known patron of the restaurant. The verbal altercation got pretty heated. After the patron went back to his table, the bartender continued to discuss the situation with many customers at the bar. Really lacking professionalism and made for an overall very negative experience. read more

Very disappointing meal. We have been here the past two summers and had much better experiences then this year. Service was slow. My dish was inedible. I got the chicken with the orzo and it was swimming in a cream sauce. I couldnt eat it.. All in all, it was a mediocre meal that was very expensive. Five of us ate dinner there last Sunday and I have to say we were sooooo disappointed. They offered Sangria as a bar special. It had no taste what so ever. Don't know what they put in it but could not taste the wine! We ordered hamburgers, salmon & shrimp & grits. All of us were served and the hamburgers were cooked too much. My friend ordered the Shrimp & Grits and they never came out until we were half thru with our meals. The manager came over and did apologize & compt her meal but the dish itself was bad! My friend ate the shrimp but the grits were really bad & lumpy. We are locals & sorry to say would not go back again! read more

My ahi tuna was prepared perfectly...I prefer sticky rice though to the molded dry rice I was served. They had my favorite draft beer, Twin Lakes Pale Ale. We have dined at Eden a couple of times, and it is pretty good. The food is well prepared, but it would be a stretch to call it innovative.. It is pretty expensive for what is mostly another foray into "continental cuisine. Whereas Blue Moon up the street is truly innovative, this place is completely adequate but not very creative. read more

Our dinner at Eden was delightful. The food was fresh, seasonal, well-prepared, and innovative. The decor was classy yet casual, and our server was really great. Overall an excellent meal at a reasonable price, especially as we were there on a Wednesday night when they offer a prix fixe menu. This was a wonderful evening of great food. read more

My friend and I had a delicious meal at Eden. The Rockfish was seasoned very well and very moist. Her scallops were slightly dry but very tasty. Our side orders were delicious particularly the scalloped potatoes. The restaurant makes terrific cocktails. Desserts are creative and enjoyable. We had one which was an adult version of a candy bar made with a layer of ganache, a layer of mouse and other tasty layers. I will definitely return to Eden for dinner another time. read more

Visited Eden for the first time last week and it won't be the last. The service was great without being annoying, the atmosphere nice with some privacy in the booth that we sat in, and the food and drink were outstanding. My wife started with martini/mojito drink (the name escapes me). She enjoyed the combination and for a fruity drink it wasn't overly sweet. I had the bacon/chocolate infused Manhattan. Oh my....it was amazing. A little smoke from the bacon infused bourbon, a bit of chocolate from the infused bitters, and then a little from the cherry all showed up in every sip. The shrimp appetizer over jalapeno polenta with green olives again had multiple flavors in every bite and was very good. My wife had the hanger steak special and I had the muscovy duck sugo for our mains. Both were cooked perfectly along with the sides of brussel sprouts and whipped sweet potatoes that came with the steak. We enjoyed it with a nice bottle of wine that was highlighted on their menu that night from Cameron Hughes. Great meal, with great service that we will enjoy again on our next trip the Rehoboth. read more

Visiting Eden is a regular part of any trip to Rehoboth for us. We went Saturday over Memorial Day weekend. Not much has changed, which is good. Some of the artwork in the booths is new. The gauzy draped canopies over the booths is calming and provides for a little bit of privacy. The service is always excellent. Our server was obviously new, which is unsuprising in Rehoboth in May. He was also obvioulsy well trained and did a very good job. The food is always excellent, but I have two words for you...Crab Begniets. So good. Get a reservation and enjoy. They also have a more casual spot next door, called Jam also has excellent food. There is no real children's menu, however they have this amazing pasta that should satisfy any young person. read more

We had our wedding reception here and I cannot speak more highly of our experience!! They were incredibly easy to work with and gave us excellent suggestions to make our day flow perfectly. The food was SO GOOD and all of our guests couldn't stop raving about it! The hors d'oeuvres were outstanding (lobster club sandwich, duck crostini, mini crab cakes, prosciutto and gorgonzola flatbread, seared tuna crostini, and bruschetta bites), and the entrees were wonderful as well (we had short ribs and the Eden mac & cheese). Their drinks are always on point, and the strawberry lemonade and fig maple side car (our signature cocktails) did not disappoint! Every one of the staff members were so kind to our guests and went out of their way to make our day so wonderful. My husband and I could not have asked for a more wonderful place to have our wedding! read more

Eden is one of my favorite restaurants and by far one of the best restaurants in Rehoboth! We visit Eden for their consistency of excellent food, a knowledgeable attentive staff, an extensive wine list and scrumptious desserts. Our particular favorites are the mixed grill, the bison short rib, the mac and cheese and the antelope. It is one of the few places that I am willing to pack up part of my dinner to make room for dessert and a nice port. read more

Eden is usually on my top 3 list of restaurants in Rehoboth for a great dining experience as well as just a great evening. My experience last night has sullied that opinion From start to finish it was disappointing. Showing up at the exact time of the reservation we were told we needed to wait for a time even though there were empty tables. Escorted to the bar area we waited fifteen minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us when there was no one else at the bar. We made or selections for dinner from the menu which is always interesting and varied. My venison which I know should be enjoyed medium rare was almost raw. The attempt to cook it a bit more was unsuccessful. The pricey chateaubriand for 2 was also almost raw and had the appearance of a few pieces small tenderloins atop a dollop of mashed potatoes. Also flavorless. The pork chop although a large portion was rock hard and inedible. I will certainly be rethinking my choices for a fine dining experience. The only positive part of the evening was our very friendly and attentive waitress Amy who went out of her way to try and make things right but her efforts where dashed by the kitchen. I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My husband's steak was burned and they sprinkled dried parsley flakes all over the plate on my entree in the fashion of late 80's or Applebee's cuisine. The wine was nice, but the food was not great, and the decor is dated, sort of midwestern. The place was recommended to us by family (we vacation at the DE shore every summer) but will not go back. read more
