BACON EGG & CHEESE (added sausage) and SCRAMBLE ME SOFTLY*
Carolina R.

Eggbred had been on our list for awhile and we are so glad we finally went as we were pleasantly surprised! I got the scramble me softly and added bacon since there was no protein. It was delicious, the bacon was exactly what it needed. The eggs with chives was so soft and pillowy. My boyfriend got the bacon egg and cheese, he added sausage. We both agreed that the sausage flavor threw it off. He said he would want the eggs I got instead of an over medium egg. Went on a Saturday around 11am and it wasn't busy so we didn't wait long. Overall it was good and would come back for the scramble me softly.

Cute puns!

Such an adorable interior, with egg puns and egg decor wallpaper. As indicated in the name, this place offers a variety of breakfast/brunch items obviously involving eggs. Compared to other egg specialty joints like Eggslut or Eggtuck in LA, I'd say the menu here was far more vast. You order at the front, and they will bring your food out to you. We came here after running the Surf City Marathon, and it hit the spot! I ordered the steak and egg sandwich, and it was extremely flavorful. It was literally what I needed to replenish my energy. I love that there's a little outdoor patio space too. Everything came out fresh and fast. Plenty of parking, as this is located in an outdoor shopping plaza!

First time here and was greeted by a very friendly staff member. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and it did not disappoint! The sandwich tasted great and I would definitely return to try others. If I had any complaint it would be that it's a little pricey for a $10 breakfast sandwich but everything is expensive nowadays so I just took it in stride. Will absolutely return for more.

10/10 Sausage Egg & Cheese Add Bacon - This was absolutely delicious. I added bacon because everything tastes better with bacon. I would definitely get this again. 10/10 Beer Battered Potatoes - These were super flavorful and perfectly fried. They had the perfect mix of crunch on the outside and softness in the middle. 10/10 Blood Orange Juice - The drink wasn't too sweet, but it was definitely overpriced. The flavor was good though. 7/10 Popcorn Chicken - These were pretty mediocre. I wouldn't get them again since they didn't taste like typical popcorn chicken, and I've tried plenty of different spots. Cost - Sausage Egg & Cheese Add Bacon $10.49 + $2.49, Beer Battered Potatoes $3.89, Blood Orange Juice $6.29, Popcorn Chicken $9.79 (Before tax)

Been getting brunch everywhere in OC, and tried here for the first time. I got their ribeye California, chili con carne burrito & hash, and nashville chicken sandwich. They all were packed with so much flavor and the portions are huge. The service was great with a cute ambiance.

Still my favorite breakfast restaurant in the OC area. The store inside is spanking clean -- tables gleaming and spotless, not a crumb found on the ground inside or outside the restaurant. I think it has got to be one of the CLEANEST store in all of the area. I eat out a lot and don't know of any other restaurant facilities that's as clean as EggBred HB location. Love knowing their breakfast sandwiches are $2 off Monday-Thursday. I know I will be swinging by just to get some food especially when I am taking my dogs to Vetco. The breakfast poutine was tasty and fresh as always as was my favorite beer battered potatoes. Absolutely phenomenal service and food quality consistency. I have gone to this store since last year over dozen times. Big shout out to everyone who works there for service excellence!

How freakin cute is their branding?!

Where do I begin with my favorite part of EggBred... Scramble Me Softly - the bread (I could eat six buns in one sitting), the soft scrambled egg (are there lessons to do that at home?), caramelized onions (give me more). I loved it so much I may have nibbled on the paper to get every last morsel of egg and cheese. Breakfast burrito - I only had one bite of my friend's, but damn that one bite made me second guess if I should've gotten that instead. And then we need to take a moment for their branding because good branding just makes the food taste better. The bag is adorbs, Well done marketing team!

SCRAMBLE ME SOFTLY*

Cool place serving up a variety of dishes involving eggs! There's seating inside and outside like any casual spot. Truly great for brunch! **Scramble Me Softly was easily my favorite item on the menu. The soft scrambled eggs were perfectly creamy, paired with chives, caramelized onions, and sharp cheddar, all topped with a smoked paprika spread. What really made it stand out was the toasted Japanese milk bun -- just the right balance of crispy on the outside and pillowy-soft inside. The mayo had a slightly sweet touch that worked really well with the richness of the eggs. **The Breakfast Poutine was another standout, and I highly recommend adding a fried chicken breast. It already comes loaded with beer-battered potatoes, buttermilk popcorn chicken, a rich country sausage gravy, a soft poached egg, cheddar jack, roasted pepper chimichurri, and chives. It's well-seasoned, flavorful, and super satisfying. The extra fried chicken breast was delicious -- crispy, well-seasoned, and honestly reminded me of an elevated (and less greasy) Popeyes. **The Breakfast Burrito was solid -- I went with salsa verde and swapped in Impossible sausage. It's packed with soft scrambled eggs, beer-battered potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, and a smoked paprika spread, all wrapped in a slightly charred tortilla. You get a choice of two salsas, and the verde had a nice, fresh flavor with just a hint of heat -- nothing overwhelming. **Build-a-Benny (Impossible) came with over-easy eggs, and I added avocado and arugula. The base is a custom EggBred English muffin topped with Impossible sausage, two perfectly cooked eggs, hollandaise, chives, and paprika. The hollandaise was on point -- rich but not too heavy. The Impossible meat didn't stand out as much here, but the muffin itself was a decent size and held up well with all the toppings. To finish, I had the blood orange juice. It didn't exactly taste like orange -- more like a generic fruit juice -- but it was still a refreshing way to end the meal.

LOADED Burrito - The Benny Burrito

Great spot for some quick breakfast and brunch! Great variety of sandwiches and breakfast burritos and even a few vegetarian options as well! The staff were kind and very quick with preparing our food! I got the Loaded Breakfast Benny Burrito and they are very generous with the filling and I got so full from it. The potatoes were nice and crispy and the eggs inside with the hollandaise were delectable!

The bag is too cute

Ordered from uber eats ~ California chopped chicken toastie 4/5 The pickle brined chicken sandwich with added arugula was pretty good. I took off one bread slice and enjoyed it more! Would get again, didn't feel too heavy because of the arugula and there was lots of chicken pieces From the menu: pickle brined chicken breast, cheddar jack, smoked paprika spread, avocado cilantro crema, caramelized onions, on toasted sourdough Biscuit with gravy 3/5 Maybe not as good as the pan, also not as salty in certain areas, but the flavor of the gravy made the entire dish more interesting. I could do without the cheese layer! Not amazing, but you get an adequate snack for the price. Overall, yummy for the price. I'll have to come in person one day to try more items!

Social media had me hyped to try this place. My bestie's sandwich was stacked, my chicken poutine hit all the flavor notes. Absolutely no complaints on the food. But just like most of my relationships... the idea was better than the reality. I was expecting a trendy, sit-down brunch vibe with cute ambiance and maybe a mimosa moment. The photos online had me dreaming. Instead, I got "can I take your order" energy. The food was solid, but the longer I sat there, the more it missed the vibe check. Great taste, but this spot's giving "take your husband for a quick bite," not "brunch with the girls." Food was good. I'd definitely would order to go next time. It's not a sit down and catch up with the homies spot.

THE NASHVILLE HOTTIE and BEER BATTERED POTATOES.
Tatyana B.

Was visiting a friend that lives nearby and we wanted to grab something that would be quick and easy and ended up here. The decor is fun and bright with a seating area outside that is perfect for a sunny day. Service was quick and efficient. Friendly and easygoing. I got the Nashville hottie sandwich. The chicken was crispy, but not very spicy. I ordered a side of beer battered potatoes to go with it, those were tasty as well. Not really French fries but sort of like home fries. My friend got the Plain Jane breakfast burrito and was happy with it. I didn't realize it was a franchise, otherwise I probably would've picked something else, but if you're with less adventurous eaters it's a sold pick.

Since it was my first visit, I took a moment to look over the menu before ordering. The employee helping me, Gigi, seemed visibly impatient while I was deciding. I then asked whether it made more sense to order a combo or purchase the burgers and sides separately, and her response was, "We already told you the price, so it's up to you at the end of the day." While that may be true, it felt dismissive and didn't really answer the question I was asking. After placing my order, I asked for ranch and house sauce. I was told, "50 cents," and then informed that one sauce was complimentary while the other would cost extra. I had no issue paying for it, but the interaction felt cold and transactional rather than welcoming. The food itself was okay. The fries were good, although the saucy fries could have used more sauce. The ranch dressing spilled throughout the bag, which made a mess of everything inside. I was also disappointed with the onion rings--there were only six in the order, which didn't feel like a good value for the price. Overall, the food was satisfactory, but customer service is a big part of the dining experience for me. I never felt particularly welcomed, and because of that, I don't see myself returning.
