I absolutely love Eggs 'n Things. It's reasonably priced and has a lot of options for hearty, normal breakfasts. Nothing crazy or hipster, just good eggs, potatoes, pancakes. And great coffee! Yes, there is always a line. But you can check in on yelp before you even leave your hotel room. If you choose to check in when you arrive you'll probably be waiting an hour. If you time it right (meaning check in at the hotel, then arrive in the window they give you) you'll only have to wait about 20 minutes. What I like about them is that they never make you feel rushed. They bring the food out fast, but will refill your coffee when your plate is empty. read more

I stopped in to have breakfast this morning. Put my name on the waiting list and then went upstairs when called. I asked for a seat on the balcony at a small 2-seater table. The girl behind the counter said, "No, I'm saving that for a party of 3 and will be adding a third chair ." Instead of being seated at this small 2-seater table, she insisted I had to sit inside and a much LARGER table. Mind you, I was a table for one! If you know this restaurant, you know how small the tables are on the balcony! I looked at her with such disbelief and said, "I don't think so ~ I'll go elsewhere." She didn't seem to be bothered by that at all! I am so blown away with my visit to Oahu this time. It seems they've completely lost the aloha spirit if you are traveling alone. Sigh. read more

We came here three times but the first time was a 2 hour wait and we ended up going somewhere else for breakfast. This was an hour after they open! We went the next morning and got on the wait list and only waited about 45 minutes. Service is quick and friendly. It's small and gets a little warm but they open some windows and you get a nice view of the ocean. Food was good. We ordered a side of bacon but it came out burnt. The replacement came out much better and didn't take long to come out. I ordered chicken and waffles and my husband got the French toast. Both were delicious. We went back the next day closer to right when they opened and only waited about 20 minutes. So hop on the waitlist right away and go right when they open if you don't want to wait long. read more

This place is so good!!! The wait is very long though, we waited like an hour and 20 minutes for a party of 4. Aaron and Morgan are super nice, professional and friendly. We got the kimchi fried rice with 3 eggs and the Hawaiian pancake sampler as well as the bacon spinach and cheese omelette. I got the iced sweetened cappuccino and it was really strong and sweet, but was pretty good. The portions are huge too. You guys, what really made this meal for me out of everything was the macadamia nut pancake on our sampler. Absolutely delicious!! And while I expected it to be mediocre because of the rating it had on Yelp, it was even worse than the ratings gave it credit for. I can do mediocre, and still be happy because I just like food.
