Some of the most beautiful food I've ever seen. It all tasted wonderful. My tea was never empty for long. Michael took great care of our table. When it started to drizzle, the brought umbrellas to cover us. We had pets and they were given water, bacon and pup cups. We were so spoiled. It was just lovely out on the patio. Eggspectation fell short of expectations. We visited with a party of 8 to celebrate an elementary school graduation on a Thursday mid-morning. I checked Yelp beforehand and was notified there was no wait. Upon arrival, there were only two small parties ahead of us, yet no one was at the host stand. Several employees glanced our way or walked by without a greeting or even eye contact--no "hello," no "we'll be right with you." Just silence and avoidance. It was uncomfortable. Eventually, a man I assume was the manager acknowledged us and said the wait would be 10 minutes. One party actually left due to being ignored. Service: The service was underwhelming. Perhaps they were understaffed, but even a little communication or courtesy could have gone a long way. Our server didn't provide straws, spoons, or sweeteners with our drinks. The sweet tea was overly sugary, and a flat soda followed. We repeatedly had to ask for napkins, drink refills, and missing items. There was no apology, no warmth--just robotic service. Food: Gooey Goose Bread (2 orders) - Incredibly sweet, more like thick pancakes. Garlic Bread - Surprisingly excellent. Fried Chicken & Waffle - Rave reviews; this dish may be the only reason to return. Uneggspected - Good overall, but eggs were overcooked. All-America - Basic. Toast came out very late. Eggsuberant (2 orders) - Bacon version was fine; the ham version was chewy and underwhelming. One person noted a strange taste in the syrup or pancake. Eggs Benedict - No complaints; plate was cleared. Kids pancake & salad - Standard. Overall: Between the poor service, loud music, and construction traffic on 1604, it's unlikely we'll return anytime soon. We usually give places a few tries before deciding, but this experience was enough to make us second-guess that. At 25 minutes we checked in inside and staff said our name hadn't been added until we came in; the hostess admitted employees are told to ignore online/parking‑lot check‑ins. Met a group for brunch. The good was tasty and had a great waitress who gave us some awesome recommendations.

Decided to have breakfast for dinner one evening. We received a warm greeting from the hostess and sat in a cozy booth. The waiter came promptly to take our order. I was surprised and the extent of their dinner menu and the waiter also offered their pre-fixe dinner for 2 for $55. Seemed like a good deal but we were on a mission for breakfast. Fortunately that is also available all day long. The food was served hot, fresh and tasty. I look forward to trying their dinner menu soon. The manager also stopped by to check on us and service was very friendly. They don't get much evening business so maybe the should offer a happy hour as Mirasol was jammed packed. The eggs did have a good runniness (not a word) about them and that is a rarity since most places basically provide overcooked poached eggs. May need to revisit Nashville Hot or just rename it because it didn't bring the heat and was very mild to the point of just being seasoned chicken. I wanted to be a fan of the place because I do like a good bennie spot but they just fell short. What has me the most upset is the coffee. Please don't bring cold coffee to my table. If that is your plan, don't charge me for it. My wife was not impressed with the overall service and I didn't take pictures of her plate because it didn't have a wow factor. A lot of very yummy looking items on the menu but I went with the shrimp and grits, one of my favorite dishes. We beat the rush on Boxing Day and had a lovely meal in the back by the bar and outside patio (which is dog friendly). We split the Yolk Around the Clock, a delicious split-bagel open-backed sammich with a slice of melted cheddar on one side, melted Swiss on the other, and a fried egg. (Also had bacon, on the side for us because I don't eat pigs.) The plate came with their signature Lyonnaise potatoes, more on that in a moment. We also had amazing cheese grits extra on the side, and a single pancake. My companion had one of a coffee cocktail: the Eggspectation, which was flavorful with kahlua and amaretto and Bailey's, and a firm housemade whipped cream. Drink through the cream! Everything was excellent, from the service to the food, and some standouts: WOW those cheesy grits can change your life, the pancake was sweet and ever-so-slightly crisp on the outside but fluffy inside, and OMZ those potatoes! They are sliced on the round and pan fried in some kind of magic skillet with a few onions, and seasoned to perfection. We are so coming back. A lot. P. S. Waiting times, sometimes we get in right away sometimes we have to wait a little but it's ok. Whenever I go the hostess is on top of the waiting list so no complaints there. Was trying to make a delivery order for over $100, but was unable to modify items for allergies. The delivery portals lack the ability to enter any allergies, and the modification selections are inconsistent across the digital menu. When attempting to type in the allergy information, was directed to "call restaurant." Called the restaurant only to be greeted by a robotic voice and a VERY long greeting with a pot of information we did not need (hours, location, etc.). Not only is all of this info available on the Google listing where we found the phone number, but it's designed to save the restaurant time and effort, while making the guest listen to all of it before getting to a point where they can actually speak to someone. Once the menu was completed, there was a second robotic voice stating that the voice mail had not been set up. Why in the middle of brunch service is voicemail on? Restaurants are a service industry business and require actual people to answer the phones. The new forms of robotic greetings detract from the service aspect and are frustrating to deal with. For $20-$35 a plate for "DELIVERY" breakfast, the "EGGSPECTATION" is that the service will align with the pricing. Please read the recent Door Dash reviews that all say the same. The lack of consistency in menu mods, the robotic greeting, the fact that the calls DURING PEAK business hours are being sent to VM, and that the voicemail isn't even monitored or set up properly are all indicators of a poorly managed business. read more

San Antonio Restaurant Week pick! Course one: This had so much promise. I love avocado toast but this was smashed avocado, slightly toasted bread, veg and fruit. Nothing was seasoned. When I say nothing I literally mean there was not even salt in the avocado. Nothing. This dish is in extreme need of salt, maybe some hot sauce, lime....other seasonings. So not a great start. Course Two: The brisket Benny was flavorful. Egg cooked perfectly. And the little chips were crispy and delicious. I ate the whole thing lol. Def recommend. Course three: The panna cotta looked beautiful when it came out. But I'm 99% sure the whipped cream was cool whip and the panna cotta was pretty frozen. I think they probably prep them and keep them in the freezer then just top with berries. Which is fine but if it had been taken out ten minutes earlier it would have been perfect. The flavor was there. Overall: This menu is 25$ when the bennys themselves in the regular menu are 22+ so this is def worth it. Food was good, with the exception of the first course.
