I must admit because of the reviews I almost didn't come here. But I had to try the bagels here because they seem to be the best thing on the menu. Well they got that part right. That's it though. I work in customer service myself, so I couldn't believe how the service was. How are they still open. Corporate needs to do something about this. You need to be a people person for something like this. If you are not then get out. Even when I didn't feel good my customers knew it but I was never rude to them. Ive been to quite a few bagel shops and plenty of Einsteinses and this place is essentially around average and about what you would expect. It may just be an ODD pet peeve of mine, but really how hard is it to actually spread the cream cheese on anything you make. Instead just throwing a giant glob somewhere and it. That being said I do enjoy the bagels themselves, but I think for a bagel andglass of OJ, it shouldn't cost as much as they charge. The OJ doesn't even taste that fresh. I always wondered why this Einstein Bros Bagels got 3-stars from reviewers. I got many times bagels from here and enjoyed it very much. I also hanged out with some of my friends early mornings and liked everything. Today, I stopped by again and everything was OK until I reached the cashier and waited for about ten minutes. I counted the people in the line and it was exactly 18. I could not imagine how long the last person in the line was going to wait. Besides waiting so long, I enjoy it a lot and give 4-stars to this place. read more

Hi all, I come here every so often on the weekend to pick up half a dozen bagels. Line usually moves quickly and bagels are always fresh. I would recommend getting the bagels only and making any sandwiches yourself as they sometimes skimp on some of the ingredients (mostly the smoked salmon sandwich). I was recently in Irvine and stopped by for a sandwich, and everything was just how I remembered it. There's something so comforting about coming back to a longtime favorite and having it still feel the same. The employees were also very nice and welcoming. If you haven't tried the Italian, I highly recommend it, delicious! I hope this Togo's stays in Heritage Plaza for many more years.
