Einstein Bros. is not only a great place to pick up breakfast but also lunch! They have sandwiches, soups, and salads, as well. Service: Employees were friendly, and service was fast. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor patio seating. Food: - Asiago Cheese Bagel with Sun-Dried Tomato Shmear - They give a LOT of cream cheese. Yum! It's so creamy and delicious! The establishment is very clean and new! It wasn't very busy at around 10AM. The service was great and the lady was patient as I looked at all the goodies and made my choices! Great Bagels! However, there are quite a few things that can use improving. First, the restaurant was very messy with trash and towels on the floor, tables dirty, and chairs scattered everywhere. I asked someone to please clean our table. Unfortunately, the person cleaning the table didn't ring out the towel well so I got splashed with dirty water. Second, staff made my order incorrectly even though I repeated my order to the cashier twice. Instead of apologizing, they yell from across the restaurant saying I didn't place my order correctly (not professional and somewhat embarrassing for me as many customers began to stare). Instead of remaking my order, they simply transferred the food to the correct bagel. When I opened my garden avocado sandwich I literally had two very small pieces of avocado the size of my nail bed. I asked staff to please add more avocado to which she took it back unwillingly. Finally, when I received my sandwich the staff member gave me somewhat of an attitude. I ordered a turkey cheddar sandwich. It doesn't say on the menu all bagels are toasted for sandwiches. I saw he was roasting the bagel and asked for a non toasted bagel. I did an online order so I can pick up. Nothing wrong with the food but expected to be able to just go there and pick up. I went to counter and girl directly in front of me was making a drink and said someone will be right with me. So I waited and after 5 minutes of being completely ignored I finally yelled out loud to someone and asked can I pick up and online order. Customer service here is a joke. Time to find another bagel place. It's a shame cuz I got back from business trip I'm Colorado Springs and had great experiences at the Einstein Bros location both time I was there. This location is very poorly managed. We waited over an hour in line and the whole time the store kept prioritizing mobile orders and curbside pickup. The line to enter the store did not move for nearly 45 minutes. People were getting agitated and one of the employees came to address everybody in line. She initially said she was sorry there was such a long wait but it would take about an hour to get in the store. When asked why she then said we were more than welcome to take our business elsewhere. She then said if the people in line were getting impatient we were more than welcome to come behind the counter to help them "make bagels". I understand that they may have been backlogged but there was a line of customers waiting outside the store that they just left hanging outside. We decided to stay to get our bagels, we had waited that long already...we ended up waiting over half an hour more. The bagels were alright but about half of the bagels were squashed. Today is May 26, 2022. Can I ask why Einstein Bros Bagels is not letting people eat inside. LA County has lifted the Mask Mandate except public transportation. Horrible service. Ordered $7 dozen on mother's day. I never received confirmation that order was ready. I finally drove over there to check on my order. they told me to wait in car. After 1 hour waiting, I called the store 50 times. NO ONE PICKED UP. Despite the instructions that say call once we are there. Then I tried to talk to someone but the workers were too busy arguing with another customer who is waiting on their order. Not going to waster my time arguing about how this store is supposed to conduct business. In my book, putting 12 bagels in a box is not a difficult task. I understand that it's tough times. Food prepper should not handle food & money, especially after she just left the food prep area, touches the outer bar, keeps on the same dirty gloves, then argues with her coworker that told her that we requested that she put on clean gloves. Tried to give this place a chance several times. Avocado toast is always cold. Iced coffee was decent until today. Ordered a large iced vanilla late and it was literally creamer and vanilla flavoring. No coffee flavor at all. Like she didn't put any coffee in it. Like sipping liquid sugar. I took it back to her and nicely told her it tasted bad. She said in a very snotty tone "what do you want me to do about it". I kept calm and asked if she would remake it. She again made it the same. Never had a bad experience here! Usually get the farmhouse sandwich, a half dozen bagels, which comes with one tub of shmear, and a coffee. Today my husband and I went. I got the farmhouse and a caramel Macchiato, he got an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese and a vanilla cold brew shake, and we got a half dozen bagels with cream cheese. I got my order, took it to the car and my daughter was so hungry that she just took a bite of the bagel. Well, we got the wrong bagels. They gave us pretzel bagels (which were soooo salty). We just decided to keep the bagels since we were short on time. Then my daughter took a sip of the coffee and she said that it tastes like cream and no coffee. Bagels are awesome, ...but service is the worst, definitely not a good way to start the morning!! I received a coupon in mail said I can order from their app with free coffee and free sandwich with any sandwich purchase, however there is no place to put coupon code in the app, so I walked in the store and see if someone can help me,.....I was so wrong. The first worker in the order counter told me the app was broken but they will give me free coffee, and the worker at the checkout counter told me the app is fine, so The coupon can't be used in store order. When you walk in, look to the right and see how many people are waiting for their order, if it's more than 5, walk away. I waited over 20 minutes for two bagels. I understand busy mornings, but that find of wait is crazy. Their system is one person take orders, another takes your money while a few workers in the back makes your order. But if someone has a large order, all those back workers gets extremely busy and your single order get ignored and backed up. I think their systems needs to change to one person takes and makes your order and you basically get the order right when you pay. That's how I always get it at the Bruegger's near my work. The only thing worse than the food here is the service. The lox bagel comes with a HALF piece of lox that can't cover even half of one side of a bagel. On the bagel it also came with the thickest onion which tasted like it had been in the fridge with no covering for a week. The coffee tastes like prune juice. When I asked if this was how the bagel was supposed to come I was met with one of the rudest humans barking back "uh huh! YES." Rolling her eyes. She then began talking about myself and family to her co-workers. I worked in the service industry for 10 years and if I ever served this food or spoke like that I would have been let go and the place would close. I bought green chili bagels thinking it was like green chili's in the can (not hot). I did not buy Jalapeño. My husbands mouth lit up like a Christmas tree and when I brought them back, the girl was confused as to why I wanted to exchange them when I asked for green chili. She asked the manager and she told me that they use Serrano chili's. She said rudely that I should always assume that green chili's are hot. I told her when I buy them in the can they aren't. She said everyone knows chili's are hot. I told her if she is going to have 2 kinds of bagels that are hot, then she should put a hot symbol on the tag like restaurants. She was rude and dismissive. I used to enjoy coming here to do work and drink a coffee. This business unfortunately does not maintain its seating area. There was lots of trash strewn about under tables and a homeless man was digging through the trash inside the restaurant and also touching the shared coffee creamers and soda area. I pointed this out to staff and their reaction was to laugh about it and shrug their shoulders. Had a craving for some bagels so we stopped by this location to grab some breakfast. There was a small line outside the front door but it didn't deter us from getting in line. The location is only allowing 5 people inside at any given time and staff are doing a phenomenal job of maintaining their social distancing policy. Top notch staff here. I appreciate that staff kindly asked those patrons who "didn't see" the posted signs on the doors about the 5 person occupancy limit to step outside while I was still in there. Thank you for being open, serving delicious bagels (we got Florentine bagels with smears of garlic & herb cream cheese), and doing it all safely for all people involved. I know it can be super hard right now to be open and deal with difficulties with customers being impatient or not following these safety precautions and I just wanted to commend this location for doing such a great job.
