This location is pretty big in comparison to some of the other Einstein Bagels places I've been to. I was in the area and this place came up as an option for breakfast. Since I had been to the Huntington Beach location I decided to give this one a try. I liked that parking was easy to find since it was located in a shopping center with plenty of parking spots available. I also loved that there was so much seating available and that everything was spread out. The service was also friendly and quick! I didn't stray away from what I usually get. So I got the Applewood Bacon & Cheddar with two eggs on a honey whole wheat bagel. I get the two eggs because it's filling and I ask for the green salsa on the side and that combination is delicious. I decided to be adventurous and tried the Hazelnut Mocha, but I wasn't too fond of how chocolatey it tasted. I won't be trying that next time. read more

I must say, this was a delicious bagel. I had the Swiss, mushroom, and spinach with an onion bagel. It was freshly made. The bagel has a light crisp to it and the cheese just made it taste extremely good while it melted with the mushroom and spinach. Tried their already made, strawberry lemonade, and it tastes great. Has that sour taste, but sweet mixed in, just the way I like it. We also picked up a half dozen of their bagels to try out the other choices, and picked up a pack of their very own cream cheese, the light one, of course. It does get packed here, but their service is pretty good, they get you in and out without any hassle. Their workers are extremely nice too. The customer service here is getting unbearable. Rudeness at the order counter and the pay counter. When I asked for my cup for the coffee I just purchased the employee looked at me like I was crazy. Einstein Bagel is a change. But they are very good and I can get the same quality at any place. They have indoor seating and outdoor City. There's plenty of parking. We come here every Sunday morning a good selection of bagels and breakfast in deserts the coffees are good. Inside is nice. The service is extremely fast. The prices are comfortable and good. THE WORST BAGEL PLACE EVER. I truly believe that this place has the worst customer service. They have no sense of providing a good experience for the customers, and I can see that I'm not the only one to feel this way about the workers here. I came with a Einstein's bagel gift coupon card, (as today was it's expiration date) and their card reader was broken. So I asked if I could just order with the amount that it states on the coupon and the cashier told me that it was not his problem. NOT HIS PROBLEM. The workers here do not know anything and have made a terrible impact on the Einstein Bagel brand. They definitely deserve a pay decrease or lack of tip for their terrible actions and attitudes. read more

Good it is always great!! Food is Made in front of you. Proper hand washing after taking your money at the register and helping to prepare your food, but be careful....in the afternoon your tray that you have your food served into can be full of old food. Mine was sticky with honey and then turned it over with melted cheese all over the bottom and crumbs stuck to the honey blah!!! I handed it back after finishing my delicious bagel...and a "I am sorry for that" was given to me ... she took it from me and then turned her back and continued to make someone else's meal... In a system where giving orders is based on name, they need to be more meticulous about .. I don't know, everything. First of all, if you're unclear on how to spell a name, ask the customer! It's that simple. I'm clearly not talking about myself, but my mom has a name that difficult to spell on the first try. I don't care how your treat me just don't fuck with my mom. This is the third time I have went and the third time this location gives me the wrong order to go, they gave me a sandwich and forgot the cream cheese and the side. It's frustrating because I don't have time to go back and get them to fix it. The food at Einstein Bagel is always great, and pretty well priced. I'm a fan of their coffee, and bring in my Noah's Bagels (same company) mug for a small discount. Service is fast, and the interior is large with plenty of seating. My complaint is that since I always come with a dog, I sit outside where there are a couple of tables and chairs. This isn't a great set up - you're right up against cars (which I've noticed a lot of people just idle their cars in this particular location), the tables outside are rarely bussed or clean, and there is no trashcan outside anywhere. I wish they would do more to make it a nicer atmosphere for those who want to sit outside, or at the very least, clean it more often. read more

PARKING & SERVICE // I come in the morning usually before 9 and parking is relatively easy. Sometimes there are bursts of people where the line will extend to the door (sounds far but probably 5-8 people), and other times there's only a couple. There really isn't a specific perfect time to go. I love this place for the service! There are a couple of workers that are there every time I go. Everyone is always very friendly and has a smile when attending to your order. Every time a new batch comes out, everyone yells "Fresh Bagels!" It's really cool, a nice ambience. One of the cashiers even asked how to spell my name one time, since mine is kinda unique. I know it may seem tedious or insignificant, but I find that customer service to be the kind that keeps one coming back. The only bad thing I have encountered is that some workers are not too familiar with the products. For example, I was curious about what is in the Garden Veggie Shmear and one of the ladies wasn't really sure besides small pieces of tomato. Or I asked what was in the Protein Bagel, and they didn't really know either. It's not a big deal, just would be a helpful aspect to have. You order at the start and they take down your name, then you go into another line along the bagel showcase and pay at the end. I usually just get a toasted bagel of variation, and it does not take too long to get, like 5 minutes max. FOOD // my ultimate go-to is the SPINACH FLORENTINE! It is not really a bagel, no hole. There's sauteed spinach on top with a baked layer of cheese over. I usually just get it toasted with nothing on it, and I have been in love. Today, I decided to try the new Parm Protein Bagel (I think that's what it was called) toasted along with the Garden Veggie Shmear, which I asked for on the side. It was also very delicious. I liked it alone and with the shmear. Lastly, the Protein Bagel is mediocre. It's not something I would get again. The overall taste is pretty bland. I guess that's what you should expect? So I get the spinach florentine for my protein (not as much probably but worth it) and taste satisfaction haha. I'm looking to try each of the different bagels at least once, expand my horizons. I came in hoping they had soup --they don't. So got a mushroom spinach bagel sandwich instead. If you're in a rush and trying to get in and out, don't bother. Make sure you have ample time before arriving if you plan to order anything. Even for boxes of bagels. The staff is very nice and takes their time with everyone but also get sidetracked with a lot of things like picking up phone calls or helping someone that's super indecisive and there aren't enough people working back there to meet the demand as quickly as they could. Took me near 20 minutes to leave with my bagel sandwich. Their bagels aren't bad but nothing amazing either. The inside reminds me of Panera. GREAT bagels! After a long time of not coming in (dieting!), got the Bagel Bug again.... these buggers are YUMMMY! So, this review is for the service received, not the food. Was there from approx. 10-11 am and the place was pretty packed the whole time. Even with lines going out the front door for the Monday Bakers Dozen Special, the staff did a good job of moving the line quickly. I realized after I paid, that I wasn't asked if I was a Schmear Society Member. So I asked the cashier to please credit the purchase just made. He added it, no problem. Went back for a second round (YUP!), and my second order was quickly rung up with no mention of the rewards program. When I said something, the same clerk (asst. manager), scolded me for not mentioning it before it was rung up. Because it's "really, really hard to do it afterwards." Hmmmm.... didn't seem so hard, or take more than a few seconds both times. Tried to check it out on the website, but it only gives your total points -- no transaction history, blaaah. So yeah, I forgot to mention the rewards. But aren't the clerks supposed to always ask? Then he said, "well, there's like 500 people in here and sometimes we forget." True enough, but for good customer service, he could have phrased the comments differently than blaming the customer. And, Hmmmm again. When I came through the line before, I commented on how busy it was and he said, "no it wasn't busy." OK, whatever with the conflicting commentary. The assistant manager was just rude. And delivery of the single bagels at the end of the line was not very efficient since the bags don't get labeled. Great food, but don't expect good service. Love me some bagels It's a well known bagel place located in Torrance, of course it's going to be busy. I do try and avoid this place if I can when I know it's busy (mostly on weekends). I will never rate them less because it's busy because I know how that must feel. They are getting one less star because they never seem prepared. Their customer service is definitely lacking. Damn, Yelpers are brutal. I went to this location at the beginning of the pandemic, and yes, it was an organizational mess. Everyone was getting used to new procedures and figuring it out! Also, employees are risking their lives so you can get a damn bagel, so be a lil more understanding. I've now returned twice, in recent months during quarantine, and they've really SIGNIFICANTLY improved! Store is super clean, the line moves quickly and expediently. Even around 12 they still have a full stock of all bagels. My order was correct, 13 bagels in my bakers dozen. Two women were working. One welcomed me in and asked how I was doing, the other took my order and charged me. Both were so sweet, welcoming, and helpful. There are also many tables outside with umbrellas spaced 6 ft apart so folks can eat there, if they want. Anyway STOP BEING MEAN PEOPLE NEED TO MAKE A LIVING AND THEY ARE PERFECTLY FINE. ***COVID-19 period rating. **** Service has gone down the tubes at this place post COVID19. During the morning rush the restaurant only had three workers in the store. It is obviously understaffed, and staff is overworked and grouchy. Store staff scoffed at me when I asked a question and change my mind after hearing the response. It was obvious that staff were prioritizing larger orders (dozen+ bagels orders) and phone/internet orders. They messed up my order (wrong bagel type). I regret leaving a tip. I won't be going back until the whole COVID situation is over. Will be looking for another bagel place in the meantime. read more

On my trip, I went during a time I knew they might be prepared, morning time. There was plenty of parking as the burger shop next door was still closed and the bank was not too busy. The line was not long, 3-4 patrons and it went fairly quickly, about 2-3 minutes. I was greeted kindly and my order was simple. Pepper bacon, egg & cheese bagel sandwich, a hot vanilla latte, medium OJ, and a choc. chip coffee cake. There was plenty of seating. The tables were clean and I waited about 5 minutes for my order. It came to me all correct. Prior to heading over , I jumped on Yelp and was kind of nervous because of other Yelpers bad reviews. I'm glad I weeded through them and didn't come at the very end of the day expecting "morning fresh" at 2:30pm. I sat and observed the employees smiling, trying to work quickly and they were communicating to each other. That seemed to be the key to efficiency during the day I visited. I saw the coffee being filled , as well as tables being bused. My food was good, the latte was tasty and hot. I'd go again and recommend others to give this place a try during the morning. read more

Minutes later the barista called out my boyfriends name so I went thinking it was the food and I was going to grab the food then the guy cooking the food came and said no that's not yours it's for Rebecca and I told him well she called out Fernando , and he mumbled something and walked away no it's not urs , meanwhile the barista was just embarrassed like she didn't know what to say. The bagels were fine. The selection less so. They were out of necessary ingredients on the menu and then charges the customer to substitute for a bagel. Very bad form in my mind. It was only 58 cents but it's the principal of the thing! UPDATE - 12/10/16 I returned here more than a year later and have to say I was much happier. They still did not have the bagel selection that I have come to expect (who does not have egg bagels or rye?) but the staff worked much harder to keep the customer happy. I ordered a pumpernickel bagel when I was told that they do not have rye. Then it turned out they ran out of the pumpernickel. Yucky, right? But then, one of the employees gave me a free bagel of my choice and cream cheese just for the inconvenience of waiting while they asked me about a new bagel choice.
