I can't give any rating on my order because I never got to taste it. I ordered some sandwiches for myself and my friends, but I requested mine to be made with no meat. They didn't label the sandwiches to show who ordered what and they were all wrapped identically. It was not pleasant unwrapping and poking at each one to see what was what. They got my order wrong and gave me a sandwich with meat, but what I think is even more ridiculous is that when I reached out to corporate/management, no one followed up with me. This does not reflect good service at all. The lack of consideration for dietary restrictions is really rude. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more

Perfect fast bagel shop! Was visiting Torrance for the weekend stopped here for breakfast with my fiance. He got the Farmhouse and I got the Chorizo Sunrise with the green Chile bagel. Very busy mornings, but long lines usually move quickly. Product is good, and service is generally efficient and very courteous. Here's a tip: Einstein's is not there to solve problems. I bought a gift card, sent it in the mail, and recipient never received it. Yes, that isn't Einstein's fault. However, they do have the responsibility to provide you with information to verify the value remaining on the card, and if the card has been used or not. Einstein's cannot do that! One would think they would have a record of the gift card company issuing the card for that information, but they don't, and apparently will not break open a different card to find the same information. Further, certain of the staff just doesn't understand the question. Consequently, they gave me one phone number after another, all of which led to Einstein's...not the gift card company that issues them! I love me some warm, fluffy bagels from Einstein Bros.! Weekend mornings can be busy here, place is maintained clean at all times. There is plenty of seating indoors and there's even a few tables outside. Plenty of parking. I'm currently obsessed with the pumpkin bagels, but usually order the blueberry. My daughters love the chocolate chip and cinnamon sugar bagels. I prefer to have them sliced for me & like toasting them at home. I buy a tub of plain shmear so that I can "shmear away" in private. Appalling service. Sat 25 nov .Asked for. LOX sandwich and the person taking the order asked do you want the one with the salmon or just the smear. I advised with the salmon. When the order came it was with smear only. I went to complain about this that the order was wrong and asked for what I ordered . I was told that it was correct . I said no it isn't and the right thing to do is give me what I want at no additional. I was told by the person who called herself the manager that she couldn't do this. In a service industry usually when things go wrong the provider is supposed to provide options such "this is how I can fix it". No such thing occurred. Pretty tasty. The ordering system still bugs me though. You order at one register that gets backed up then you pay at another register that also gets backed up. Both registers repeat your order back to you to confirm. Seems like a waste of time and efficiency to me but I guess it seems to work. The bagel thin sandwiches are really great. I tend to get the southwestern turkey sausage on an everything bagel thin. The bagels are always fresh and the orders have been right each time we have gone there. I am currently pregnant and over the past 12 weeks I've been extremely ill, unable to really eat and in and out of the hospital. One of the only foods that I was able to tolerate over the last 2 weeks is Einsteins Asiago bagel. My family and I came in here 12 out of 14 days for bagels! Yikes! That's a lot of bagels! The bagels are good and the service is usually pretty quick. My only complaint is that they smear on wayyyy too much spread. I always ask for a light spread of cream cheese but still end up scraping off enough to cover another 2 or 3 bagels. This may just be me though. I'm sure some people love the excess smear. I really like the strawberry lemonade, it's much better than the berry one in my opinion. read more

Well I hate to be the one to write a bad review but it is warranted. I found the employees to lack professionalism and personality. As an example as one was taking a break she was yelling back and forth with someone preparing food. When my wife found her bagel sandwich lacked smear she calmly asked the person taking orders for some on the side. At this point the person taking the order and the individual preparing food began to argue, loudly over what is and what is not on the menu. My wife was mortified and only wanted something to spice up the bland sandwich. There are a few employees walking around as "managers" but have done nothing to adjust the behavior. The only positive thing I can say is the coffee is good and the cashier, Claudie (I believe) was pleasant and looked embarrassed and apologized for her co-workers. In a market like this where you can get bagels and coffee too easily it will be customer service that wins out. Please understand I don't normally write poor reviews but it needed to be stated for those that are considering coming here or to see if there is a pattern. read more

We went to Einstein Bagels this morning and ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese. The quantity of smoked salmon, onion, and tomato were acceptable, but the amount of cream cheese was sparse. My wife complained and the cashier told her that this is the correct amount of cream cheese, but he gave her a little container with a few more ounces of cream cheese to quiet her. The Lox, tomato, bagel and pickle are tasty, but not great. We are accustomed to New York style bagels where they put a 1/2" thick slice of cream cheese on each half of the bagel. read more

I first fell in love with Einstein's bagels when I was in grad school at USC, so when I found out that they were opening one in Torrance, I was really excited about it. Their bagels are very fresh and they have a variety of bagel flavors--I love my asiago bagel as well as the jalapeño one. They are also known for their variety of shmears (cream cheese spread), including honey almond and garlic. While my faithfulness to Einsteins remains solely because of their yummy bagels , I must say that their service at the Torrance location needs a lot of improvement. Every single time I go there (2-3 times within a 3 month period), my order somehow has gotten messed up, including a time when my boyfriend ordered a turkey-bacon panini and the panini had no turkey in it! I must say however, that manager has always been very accommodating, and she gave us a chocolate cookie-brownie dessert on the house that time, which was good (both the management and the brownie). This feedback aims to simply be constructive: Something is just not quite right in their procedure/process system because it's causing these good workers to make frequent mistakes. Despite all the mistakes in orders, however, they do a good job in trying to make up for them. read more

We love this place... not because bagels are yummy, they are yummy.... but because the staff is friendly and awesome! Looks like there are some newbies today, welcome to the neighborhood! We waited a little longer while the staff was training but didn't mind. Just wanted to commend the staff for being patient training on a busy day. My first visit a young gal and older lady were taking my order and was a bit uncomfortable because the "supervisor" kept correcting the younger gal in front of me and was a bit rude to us both. After the 15min ordeal to order 2 bagels the "supervisor" says they don't make bagels with peanut butter and bananas. Weird because I've ordered this before at the Long Beach location without a problem. My second visit I try ordering a plain bagel with peanut butter and bananas. Hooray for the cashier she had no issue just said it would cost .99 to add. Perfect until I got home.... They didn't add the banana for 2 of my bagels. The two stars are for the food and the poor overworked employees at this location. The Long Beach location puts this one to shame, as they actually have enough people behind the counter to get the job done. I stopped in this morning as I forgot to get bagels from the Einstein's by my house, and it was very frustrating. For starters, there were no grab and go bagel buckets ready to go. I had to wait in line which was excruciatingly slow becasue there were only three employees there for the morning rush. One making sandwiches, one making coffee, and one taking the orders / running the cash reister / putting orders together. When I got to the front of the line, the cashier had to throw together my bakers dozen in a sack (not a box like usual), making everybody in line behind me wait even longer. I got my coffee (the half and half was all gone, and headed back to work. Once I got there I found out that there were no plastic knives in the sack, which is something the Long Beach store always remembers to do. I learned my lesson and will make sure I don't forget bagels on my way out of Long Beach in the morning. read more

Normally I LOVE Einstein Bagels, and have never ever had a bad experience. Today however, the two girls in the front were completely unprofessional. They were more concerned with giggling, and gossiping to each other than taking anyone's orders or providing customer service. They cared more about getting on break, and said it out loud while I was trying order. My cousin and I each paid separately, and neither of us were asked for here or to go. So I kindly walked over and asked to have it for here, was rudely ignored basically and given our food to go. They were burning other customers bagels, yelling and being louder than all of the customers in the whole store together. Honestly it was like getting served by a couple of whiny high schoolers. Please bring back the old staff, or possibly look into retraining or having a supervisor on staff that's actually an adult that cares. It was a bad enough experience that I'm not sure I'd travel across town to come back again, which makes me sad cause I love your bagels. There was one women with a hat on that seemed to try and care and tell them how to properly make the bagels, but they seemed to write her right off. This was my first time in here, and I honestly can say I love it. It runs like a Panera Bread. The menu isn't large you pick what type of bagel you like or the prefix ones that they have. Its really tasty and the bagels are freshly baked. Thats a plus! Their coffee is good too. A little pricy but not more than starbucks. The only down fall that I can say is that I don't get why we would have to order first and pay at a different counter. It would be much easier if we did everything at once. I order the Bavarian Bagel but because they ran out of the pretzel bagel I opt in for the Spicy Jalepeno and it still came out delicious. Their Cinnamon Latte is to die for. Very bold in taste. They just opened not far from us! We live right across Lomita Blvd and this place is a nice walk in the morning for some fresh pastries and bagels! My first experience with Einstein Bro's is when I ordered a pastry box delivered to my bridal suite the morning of our wedding. My girls and I enjoyed the cherry pastry (SO YUMMY), chocolate chip coffee cake (AMAZING) and the strudel muffins. For the people I needed to feed and the location of delivery this was very affordable and delicious! I priced a similar package by Panera and they would not deliver to me unless I purchased $50 worth of food. That was not convenient for me so I needed an alternative and I found Einstein's!! My husband and I had a coupon and we walked to the restaurant in the morning for some breakfast bagel sandwiches. I had the ham and cheese and my husband had the same but added sausage and bacon to his bagel. They are totally flexible and the sandwiches are customize able!! The atmosphere in side is busy but not overwhelming. We were helped promptly and our food was warm. We were so hungry and the food was so good that we finished our sandwiches before we even reached home! I would like to try them for lunch, or try their lox bagel. I have used yelp many years and have never had an account to review establishments. I made an account to warn others of how awful this place is. Food is average here. Bagels are decent but nothing I wouldn't go out of the way for. It's a quick stop to grab brunch or a quick bite..... And that's where this place crumbles. Service is atrocious. I have been here several times and have received the wrong order or missed my order completely each and every time. I have had to ask for my missing order 2 to 3 times so that an employee can actually make it. This is unacceptable and I am very passive when it comes to service. My wife was surprised but she too has had horrible service here. It's a shame really. This place has potential. But, as a consumer I cannot return here to know that I have been unsatisfied with their staff/ service EVERY time I have been here. Like I said, food is decent. Service is so utterly bad I don't know how people decide to return. If you really want a bagel, there's a Ralphs down the street. Thank goodness they finally opened a decent bagel and coffee shop in the South Bay. I have lived her for the better part of 12 years and I have to say that the coffee (and the bagels) choices are poor at best. I travel for work and have had the opportunity to taste some of the best (and worst) coffee in the country. I started going to Einstein brothers in Atlanta and loved it from the beginning. This one has some work to do in the service department (to be expected from a new operation) but the coffee and bagels are consistent with the other wonderful experiences I have had around the country. Absolutely the worst bagel shop I have been to. I will never be back at this brand again. Staff was rude. The cashier could not do math. Bill was 13.02 and we tried to hand her the 2 cents and she could work it out. The bagel was cold and late to arrive. Asked for bacon and got a minuscule amount. The place was packed and noisy. It shows just how desperately competition is needed as I asked and no one was satisfied. We all Just knew there had a lack of choices. But there is.
