we went here very early on Friday morning, a bit before 8am. me and another person shared two sandwiches, one was the maple sausage bagel which was pretty good, but the one that stood out was the pastrami-egg-cheese bagel, which was excellent! delicious pastrami, I think it may have been made in-house. we also had iced lattes, and despite there being a lot of people, the food and drinks came out very quickly. the iced lattes were awesome too, pretty strong espresso but not overwhelming, and not sweetened by default (fine by me, I tend to prefer that in lattes). short walk from Circus Circus, upstairs inside la fontainebleau. read more

Total disaster. Attempted to dine on Saturday morning 10/19 as a hotel guest. Waited for 20 minutes in line before getting to the register to order. Were then informed they had to stop taking orders because the kitchen was so backed up. Staff were running around like crazy, tickets printing onto the floor, no one had a plan. Waited another 25 minutes while two girls behind the register rearranged the cold drink display while avoiding eye contact with any of the guests inline. There were easily 100ppl in line at this point. Beyond waiting for nearly an hour, the most embarrassing and disappoint part were those managers. There was an Asian looking man in a suit and tie and a young lady with a red blouse and blazer. I watched for 45 minutes as they walked around, stood in the seating area and chatted. Anything but helping their team members or talking to all the aggravated guests and trying to perform some type of guest recovery. Start taking coffee orders for people in line? Hand out water? Even just verbal assurance that they're working on it? Nothing. They just kept walking back and forth totally failing their team, not doing anything at all to help. As a hotel and casino F&B operator for the last 10 years this was the most laughable attempt at service I've ever encountered. Once we realized we'd never even be able to order our food, we walked across the street to the McDonald's next to CircusCircus. The line was out the door (no doubt from other El Bagel defectors) but we were able to order and receive our food in less than 10 minutes. We were greeted at the door by friendly management staff who directed us to order at kiosks and offered to help us through the process. While we dined another manager checked on us, and as we left they thanked us for coming. Very quick service. The bagel sandwiches were great. I tried the EB Original on a gluten free bagel a which was delicious. They also handled my allergy well with no cross contamination. My husband tried the king guava on a sesame bagel which he enjoyed even though he had never tried guava before. There were tons of searing options in the food court area. That's longer than 1 hour- wait time. - Cashier did not give us a receipt, he told us "if i got your name and number, you should be good" CLEARLY NOT. We stopped by El Bagel on our way out today, and I had to write a review. It's located upstairs in the food court at FountaineBleau. These were truly some of the best bagels I have ever had. The sausage breakfast sandwich was out of this world and I will be dreaming about it until next time I'm able to come back. The sausage was juicy and flavorful, and the cheese and egg ratio was just perfect. We also got a scallion cream cheese bagel (both on everything) and were blown away. I can not stress enough how delicious everything was. I only wish they had one in San Diego! Definitely a must try when in Vegas! read more

I had the sesame bagel my friend had the poppy seed both had chive cream cheese not toasted. I prefer my bagel not toasted . The bagels had a good chew and were covered with seeds on both sides. What a delight and much better than Siegels Bagelmania . They skimp on the cc and seeds. El bagel is located on the second floor in the food court at Fountainebleau hotel. No waiter service. They have great comfortable seating. You go up order, pay and they text you when your food is ready for pick up. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches, juices, soft drinks and coffee. Bagels were absolutely delicious! That guava king was absolutely amazing. I wish the egg was just a touch softer in the middle, but I had no real complaints about the flavors or textures otherwise. Love a bagel sandwich that actually stays together rather than falling apart after the first bite, also. One thing though is that the wait can be slow. The ordering line is long, and the pick-up / wait is similarly so. For a "fast food" type spot in the food court, I was hoping it would be more convenient. Ended up taking almost 45mins from the time of getting into line to order until I had my order in hand But I think about ~10mins of that wait is the basis for my only REAL complaint: that is, my experience when I got a text that my order was ready for to pick up. Took me less than 2mins to walk back over from where I was waiting for my notification. I approached the counter and tried to tell the lady working at the pick-up counter that I got the text, showed her m receipt, and pointed to my bagel sitting there with my name on it. She ignored me, without any acknowledgement or a request to wait just a minute, which was kind of rude but was fine because maybe she had to move on to the next orders before circling back. She called out several names and waited quite some time until each person responded. And if no one responded, she would step away (hopefully to do something else productive in the back) before returning to call out more names. During a long pause, while no one responded and she was just standing there waiting, I advised her again that THIS bagel was mine and showed her the receipt. She looked at me, my receipt, the bagel, and ignored me again. She went on to call more names, and then begrudgingly returned to my bagel. Called my name twice, as if I wasn't standing there, and I responded both times but she didn't hand it to me until the second time. So bizarre.
