The empanadas were delicious and so was the linguini pasta. Both my wife and sister had the Costeletas de cerdo. The waitress was wonderful and had a friendly way of making us feel welcome. It was a party of 5 with a well behaved newborn. Last time we were here was doing the coronavirus pandemic. My wife and I had to dine outdoors. We never forgot El Morfi Grill. Today we sadly learned that this establishment is closing to economics hard times . Too expensive to run a small Argentinian athentic restaurant in Glendale, CA, let alone on Brand Bl. Best wishes to the owner and the staff.

First of all the food was a must have. It's hard to find good Argentinian food and when you do this is the spot. The service is what you would expect from a small yet well known restaurant. We had the "Parrillada Para Dos," it was fantastic, giving a little more than "for two" but taking home left overs was no problem at all. To go with it, the "Guiso de Lentejas" hit the spot. I cannot wait to come back for more.

Sadly they closed permanently as of 2/15/2026. I just found this out today when my friend and I were planning to get together at El Morfi for lunch. This is a family run great Argentinian restaurant in the city of Glendale. Foods, services, & ambience get all 5 stars in my opinions.

I have always walked past by this restaurant but have never really tried it until today. After a long day at work, I decided to meet up with my mom and treat her here just because... My mom and I shared their housemade sangria which was so refreshing! We started with the ham and cheese empanada and chicken empanada. Both were such a delight especially if you add the chimichurri. We then ordered the Paella Valenciana and a plate of penne pasta with meat and red sauce. We got fooled because apparently the paella is good for two people but man that dish was big, hearty and for sure delicious. I loved how they were super generous with the fresh seafood. The plate of pasta was also very delicious and is also good for sharing.

My mother and I went in on a whim a few weeks ago and were not disappointed. The empanadas are absolutely delicious! The pastry was soft and fluffy while the filling was delicious and well-served. We ordered the churrasco, asado de tira, and spinach lasagna. The sauce on the lasagna was creamy and tasty without being overpowering. As for the meats, all were cooked to perfection, well seasoned, and super juicy. One of the best cut of meats I've had! The service can be a bit slow sometimes but considering this is a small-family run restaurant with only a handful of employees, it's completely understandable. Our server, Rene, was friendly and attentive and checked in on us frequently. Overall, a great experience and delicious food! If you get the chance or are in the area make sure you check out this neat little restaurant and support a small, family-run business! My recommendations: beef empanadas, asado de tira with garlic potatoes, sangria

Lovely, family-owned restaurant on Brand in Glendale. Who knew there was authentic Argentinian food in the valley that wasn't just meat skewers and tourists? Get there early, order the sangria and settle in for simple, home made fare. We started with the empanadas (must try) and shared the angus steak and chopped salad. Saved room for the flan (also home made) which was simple, tasty and filling. Others have commented on the service. For me, that's always a downside in family run places, I.e., just not enough people working. But the upside is you get to feel welcomed by someone who cares and knows the food coming out of the kitchen. Our server was clearly the mom and kept telling us "home made!" So sit back, relax and just enjoy!

You can see that they cook the steaks on a grill, perhaps with wood chips, because it has that woody flavor when you bite into your steak. Overall, they've prepared the steak well, so it's not too well done and cooked to perfection at medium-rare. I'm kind of at a crossroads with the skirt steak for the price. I would expect better quality meat, but I can't complain overall about the taste of the skirt steak. I would have expected it to be better prepared and tenderized; it still had a bit of chewiness. I think you have to be an expert in how to prepare skirt steak so that it's not so tough. The ribeye was thick and juicy, so I can't complain about it, with a nice, warm, woody taste. I know it seems a bit weird coming to a steakhouse to try some of the fish, but I can't complain too much about the fish. It was coated in some sauce that made it delicious with a mix of vegetables to balance out the meal. The grilled octopus was prepared to perfection, as it remained juicy and not too tough, with a great taste in how they grilled it.

We had been to this small quaint and beautiful little restaurant in Montrose before and wanted to try it again. We loved their little Spanish style courtyard, the tapas, paellas, and the setting felt so good for little date night after being away for so long. Unfortunately things did not go as planned. We made reservations for 7:15pm and were hardly even greeted by the hostess that seemed she'd rather be elsewhere then to welcome us to Casa Cordoba. Problem was though even after setting the reservation time and arriving exactly at 7:15pm we weren't seated for 15min even though we saw our table being cleaned and set and just sit there unoccupied for over 15min. So we waited. When we finally sat down...our server didn't come by for another 10-15min. But we were patient and we waited. Alvin finally came -- brought us water and opened the wine we brought. A special one for this type of occasion (corkage fee was $30). We ordered the paella with squid ink and seafood since it takes up to 45min to prepare and sat down to enjoy the wine and take in the setting. That night they had live music -- a guy on an acoustic guitar playing some cool songs, from Maroon 5 to Backstreet Boys on a 12 string...at least it was live. It was pleasant. The server didn't attend to us much and just had an air about him. Idk -- they may have been super busy but wasn't sure. Finally the paella came. It was...good. Not plentifully. 7-8mussels, a quarter of an octopus tentacles, and a couple of calamari. If you're thinking that much it and rice then you're right. It was mainly rice. No vegetables accompanying it but that's the dish. That was $57 for the small version. I've made paella before. It takes time and it's a production -- but at least at home I can make one for half that price for 8 people. Maybe that's why we don't go out so often bc it ends sometimes like this. We expect a nice meal, a welcoming host or hostess, a server who enjoys the food and atmosphere and makes us feel at home, and food that we could never prepare at home. It's suppose to be an experience that you are happy to pay for. This wasn't. We were disappointed and just felt like wanting to leave. The last straw was when I signed the check on a toast machine and asked for the printed copy. The server, Alvin just left the toast machine with us and left -- attending to others and leaving us with this machine. All I wanted at the end was a thank you for dining with us and the printed copy. We had to flag another server for that copy. He eventually came, with disdain written all over and just handed me the copy, as if I had taken his time to get my the receipt which I asked. That pretty much did it. I asked to speak with the manager and was told--"oh sure. I can get him--he's the chef, give me a minute." I was floored!! No wonder!!! The chef. The back of house manager is also the front of house manager!! That says a lot. You're front of house and your guests are not being taken care of? What kind of restaurant is this? With these prices? Regardless that was it. We left -- had some great ice cream and spoke about the whole experience all the way back home. Great date night eh? Not returning.

I made it in around noon so it wasn't packed. My waitress was pleasant and attentive. For starters, I had bread with chimichurri sauce and water. The chimichurri had a really good taste to it but the bread was not served warm. 3/5 I was craving a sangria so I ordered their red sangria. The drink was so refreshing and tasted delicious. Reminded me kind of like Hibiscus water but much better. 5/5 For my dineLA options: I chose the beef empanada 5/5 Delicious flavors of ground beef seasoned well and the empanada had a great texture to it with each bite. My favorite out of the entire course. For the main plate: (Food came out quick) I went with the "NY Champignon" a 6 ounce NY steak medium well done for me, (but over cooked) served with grilled zucchini and mash potatoes. The meat tasted low quality in my opinion, and the sauce was ok- nothing memorable. The sides were also not the best tasting; to me the zucchini was not fresh. The mash potatoes were plain nothing extreme that would make me want them again. I was disappointed in what was served today. Didn't even finish the veggies or mash potatoes. For my dessert: I went with the flan- the slice was thick and huge and they added a small side of caramel and whipped cream. The flan was not too sweet but also not outstanding. 3/5 I've been here before and I could swear my experience was way better than today. Instead of serving low quality on the dineLA weeks, you should try to impress the customer or make their experience worthwhile. That way they do come back eagerly to spend money at the restaurant. This was not the case for me. The expectations were low. The ambiance was not as expected, I was seated in the middle of two family parties which was not ideal for me. But can't beat the price $25 for that meal course plus dessert. The sangria was $10.
