I did not appreciate that the hostess tried to sit me in a booth where a child in the adjoining booth was hanging over the seat and grabbing at the table she was trying to seat us at. I said no thank you, and we were put at a table that didn't have a child hanging in it. The soup is tasty. The garlic rice is good. The plantains are yummy. The chicken and fries are just okay. It's a nice and cozy restaurant with outdoor seating. The ambiance is like Cheesecake Factory meets a South American restaurant. Good for families or dates. Previously, I've only ever had issues with service and the food always made up for it. However, this time, I can't accept this. My boyfriend's family and I ordered to go for dinner and he got the half chicken with rice and veggies. Upon taking it home, we noticed the chicken was RAW INSIDE. I mean, raw and STILL BLEEDING. We called to complain and the guy seemed very busy and wanted us to call back in an hour. He wanted us to call back for a RAW CHICKEN. My boyfriend's mom then spoke to Evelyn, who I think is the manager, and she wouldn't even issue us a refund. All she offered was a new chicken and a dessert on the house. But we had to go back and drive for the chicken. It was a mistake on their part, and they couldn't even offer a refund. Worse part, she even tried to defend the cooks and said they're just busy and probably didn't check. Who doesn't check for a RAW CHICKEN? But just one thing, and this could make this location really awesome: season the food- substantially season it! This could bring this restaurant up to a 5 1/2. Until you do that (honestly season the food and I'm not talking about just a litte mediocre shake, this food will just be plain. Been to several Pollos Inkas in the LA area over the years but they have outdone themselves. Friendly staff great food and entertainment. Try the Lomo Saltado, auguadito chicken soup, Jalea. I am sure other dishes are just as tasty. Our 9 year old had a kids bisteak and that was good as well. Side orders of plantains is delicious! What?! Pollo Inka in Rolling Hills Estates ? I didn't know there was one down here! First of all, I love El Pollo Inka, especially the one on Hawthorne Blvd (which is the original one), so I had to try this place out. There was a parking lot close to the restaurant. Once we got in, it looked beautiful! The decorations and the walls made it feel like you were in Peru. There was a band playing some classics, even though, I wish they played more Peruvian music. Also, it got too loud which it made it hard to have a conversation while the band was playing. After the band stopped playing, the restaurant did play classical Peruvian music goodies! Customer service was good from the start! We got our complimentary warm bread with butter! Bread is my weakness. I was craving seafood so we ordered the Ceviche Mixto. The ceviche was delicious! El Pollo Inka in Rolling Hills Estates is one of the many restaurants at the Peninsula at the Promenade. I recently came here prior to watching a movie at the Regal for dinner. This was our chosen place because we had heard it had a different menu from the other El Pollo Inkas. It was a Saturday night and there was live music. We had a nice table with a good view of the small band that was playing. There were several patrons at the restaurant but it wasn't extremely packed. Upon scanning the menu (which turned out to not be too different from the other El Pollo Inkas); I chose to get the Bistek Montado consisting of thin cut tenderloin, topped with a fried egg. It was served with fried plantains and garlic steamed rice. The Bistek Montado was really just steak and eggs. Flavor was ok but nothing too special. I prefer my usual order of Lomo Saltado. I have to say however the steak was huge. The generous serving was nice and definitely made for a good lunch the next day. I also enjoyed the plantains that came with this dish. What really made going here exceptional was the customer service. That night I was here I lost of one of my earrings. I called back the next day and the hostess really took the time along with the manager searching. They didn't find it but they even were kind enough to call me. I really appreciated their efforts. You get perfected sautéed tender beef and sliced onions mixed with fries and rice. This restaurant is located next to PV mall. It has nice parking, outdoor dining, and spacious indoor seating. Service is great. My review below is based on my last two dining experiences within the last 30 days. The food has been way too SALTY. Much SALTIER than the other two INKA's on Hawthorne Blvd and on Artesia Blvd. It's loaded with salt. My friends and I have been coming here for lunch regularly. The food was pretty good until recently when the restaurant re-opened. They must have hired a new chef, because the food has gone from good to SALTY. We've all complained numerous times to the waitresses and to the manager, but it is still the same, still horribly salty. What's wrong with the chef(s)? Not recommending this INKA's. I understand that there are staff shortages but I guess my review would be a heads up for those on a time thing or if you're really hungry and to be patient. I ordered my food thru Yelp (Grub hub) at 6:45 asked that the order be picked up at 7:10 pm. On my Yelp app, it said that my order was ready. It was not. I didn't receive my online order until 7:45. First, I just wanted to make sure my order was received. I tried to ask the host but he kept blowing me off saying we're backed up. FINALLY, I got him and asked him if they received my order and He went back and checked and said that they have. Well at least I know they received it after 25 min of waiting. El Pollo Inka has been my gold standard for delicious Peruvian food for many years. I am so happy to see them expanding and this location is a wonderful addition. It's spacious with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating and the ambiance feels much more elevated than the original location. I appreciate the elegance, though it has more of a chain restaurant vibe and has lost some of the family charm of the older locations. The food is still delicious. Lomo Saltado and rotisserie chicken are my go-to dishes. The flavors are spot on. I recently tried the picante de camarones which is also delicious---rich, creamy and savory with a hint of spice. The green sauce is my favorite! I squeeze it on everything and I love that they leave the bottle at the table for you to douse your food. Service is friendly and efficient. Because the location is so large, there never seems to be too much of a wait. I also love that this location offers a full bar with some happy hour specials. read more

The roasted chicken, though very tender and nice, tasted no different than the roast chicken from Costco. LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff is pulling a fast one over the customers. My point being, I expected some secret herbs or spices that perhaps make the chicken tastes somewhat like Louisiana blackened meat or southern bbq roast. But I could not taste anything special, even though I was hungry. I have the give full marks to the establishment for their level of service and attentiveness. My sister fully enjoyed her chicken noodle soup (sorry, I forgot the official menu name), which I did not try. But other than a half baked potato, egg, drumstick, and some scallions, there doesn't seem to be anything else. Had not gone to this location in a couple of years, so was very happy it was as nice and clean, as I rwmembered. The food was excellent amoung the three of us. I came here with my wife on a Saturday evening expecting it to be more full of people than what I saw. We got seated right away and literally waited 15 minutes more than we should before they brought us our water. I honestly don't think they meant to do that on purpose and they were sincerely apologetic about making us wait. I ordered the Lomo Saltado as it seemed like that was the signature dish.The food here was a little bit salty to my taste but my wife wasn't complaining. At first glance the price looks to be quite expensive but compared to the amount of meat they give you I think it was quite reasonable. I'm no expert on Peruvian food but it tasted pretty good to my standards. If they paid a little more attention to service I think they would get 5 stars from me. Ordered to go today. 2 half chicken entrees. Arrived home and the rice was missing from one meal. Called back to restaurant and spoke with the Manager. Was told he would credit me a side of rice on my next order. I will never return due to the fact that everything should have been in my order and another reason I will not return is because the chicken was very dry.
