The smokey flavor of the grilled meat is doing it, the grill is so well seasoned that the meat coming off of it just tastes amazing. Price is right, flavor is full and the people here are 100% doing it to satisfy your desire to eat something authentic. You can get a chicken dinner, it's a great value. The tacos though, totally legit. Just beware that the menu always seem to have something missing, for instance last time I was here they had no fryer. ‼BEWARE‼ If you order the chicken street tacos....BEWARE!! 2 days ago, I ordered 40 street tacos to feed my family and EVERY SINGLE bite we took had CHICKEN BONES in it. Ever since Popeye's stopped offering their Tuesday chicken special, I've been coming here instead for the Wednesday $10 chicken 12pc special. It includes tortillas, rice and beans. Really solid chicken with a punch of flavor and that true flame grilled taste. Chicken was a little on the small side, but I can't complain for the price. The meat was juicy and tender. The taste was what really sold me on it though. The fire grilled-ness and seasoning was spot on. Well on Saturday I braved the heat and bought 10 tacos, 5 adobada and 5 Carne Asada. I took them home and I had the adobada and the flavor was good but when I came around to the Carne Asada tacos it was really bland. Bland as if it wasn't seasoned at all. I had salsa so I drowned it the best I could without sacrificing my insides. I told myself that Sunday I would go for the chicken tacos and that would be the redemption visit. I order 10 chicken tacos, cause that's what they are known for. Well the chicken was cooked well, nice char on it but was lacking flavor. Tortillas were perfect, everything else regarding the build of the tacos were spot on but there was no flavor. Customer service was good, truck is in a good location and everything was clean but the flavor was not there. Perhaps I'm spoiled because the Mexican food in California is 2nd only to Mexico but I expected a little more from this place. I'll try it again at some point I guess.
