Delicious shrimp taco! Also enjoyed a great fish taco and a carnitas taco. Ordered chips & salsa which was the best pico de gallo I've had in ages, lots of onion! Huge and melty carnitas quesadilla more than filled us up, but our eyes were way bigger than our stomachs, and we also ordered nachos. Ended up so full that the nachos were barely touched. Some folks sitting on the bench with us took the plate of nachos to nibble while they awaited their own order. Excellent local food truck to which we would definitely return. Felt "Hawaiian" only better, due to the great service of the gentleman who took orders and brought utensils. He also was nice to us and kept his tables wiped down. I'm the owner of Saenz Ohana Breakfast in Hanalei and I just gotta day I got the el pastor burrito here the other day and it was awesome. I've tried about every place that does el pastor and this is the place that does it the best! My son and I went here today for the steak and egg burrito with potatoes and also the chorizo and egg burrito and they were both great. Me and my family will definitely be coming back here a lot. Wow this place is amazing. I'm pretty picky about my Mexican food, especially fish tacos/Mariscos. But this place is soooo good. Excellent service and friendly staff. I was not expecting my favorite meal in Kauai to be Mexican food. We had the monster burrito, which was unqique and had lots of flavor. We had a fish taco that was simply proper in every way. We had a deluxe fajitas which had huge amounts of lobster etc. and we had Asada fries which were the best post beach grub imaginable. This place deserves some credit. Had to leave a review. Best thing we've eaten on Kauai so far! They Recommend the seafood fajitas and certainly did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly! While we waited for our food we chatted with Victor about our trips in the past to Mexico and learned that we had even been to the town he was from. Also it's right on the beach! So happy to have finally stopped by! I drive by this place frequently and am usually unable to stop, but so happy i did. These guys know how to do it right. Fish n chips are crisp on the outside, super flavorful, and spot on. Can't say enough about the ceviche. It is some of the best I've had. And low and behold, the fish tacos, which I reluctantly tried tonight (trying not to cheat on my beloved al pastor food truck), surprised me at how unbelievable it is. The guys there are super friendly and personable and they take their sauces seriously. Perfect place to stop for a quick lunch or dinner. Best fish tacos I have had on the island of Kauai. Not expensive. Friendly service. My husband ordered a soft shell crab burrito and that was also amazing. The food truck is right by the water and you can also obviously take it to go to eat at the beach. I'm originally from SoCal if that helps- grew up eating a lot of Baja Mexican cuisine/fish tacos. Gf and I had the spot to ourselves (& the chickens of course). I ordered the fish cerviche Comes with Hot chips. Ono. Thin chips and fresh out of the fryer. Comes in a paper bag. Appreciate the smart choice of container. Friend had a burrito Don't know name but chorizo cheese with melt in your mouth potatoes Huge. They offer flan too. Amazing. They even brought us our food. 6 days into our Hawaii Vacation we stumbled upon this gem. Our only regret is that it didn't happen sooner. I have been of the opinion that a 4-5 star meal on kauai is a little different than on the mainland but this FOOD TRUCK finally made me wrong. It was fantastic! A little bit more expensive but everything is on the island so that is not a valid comparison point IMO. To start we had the ceviche. Great flavor, local fish and shrimp made this is a winner and at 9 bucks was pretty reasonable. Not to mention the tortilla chips, wow! We opted for the street tacos after and the real stars there were the ensenada and al pastor tacos (although all were as good or better than most of what we had eaten throughout the trip). What really stood out to me was the care that the chef has for his trade. You can see it in the homemade tortilla chips, the perfectly blended flavors and presentation of each dish, and lastly the time that was taken to explain which additional sauces (there are 4, 2 are homemade) would taste best on which dish we ordered. All in all, huge home run for kapaa and kauai in my book. read more

Being from Phoenix I'm HIGHLY picky about my Mexican food... especially breakfast burritos. But WOW!!!!! We have the Silly Billy and it was without a doubt the best breakfast burrito we've ever had. SERVICE TOO SLOW. 30 minute wait to get a steak burrito. I would not recommend if you are in a hurry. And I was not the only one waiting for simple food orders. Another customer was waiting for two tacos and she always demanded a refund. I never received my food and I requested a refund.
