Pretty good tacos, especially on Taco Tuesday for just $1.25! The set up is a little confusing at first - and it's hard to flag down waiters. However, once you do, you're in for some good tacos! I tried one each of the pollo Saadi, carnitas, and carne asada. My favorite had to be the carne asada. The tacos are pretty small, street size, and they only come with cilantro and onions. I wish it came with guacamole! They also add a green sauce on top. Their salsa is not spicy at all, and I wish they had a spicy option. I do like that they give you free tostadas to share! Overall, I'd come here on a budget, but it's not something I'd crave. read more

Came here for a quick bite during my break. The location is right on Sepulveda however the parking lot is located in the back where ihops parking is. Easy to find parking. The restaurant itself looks like a typical taqueria with seats along the walls. Wasn't very impressed with the interior would probably never eat in again. We sit down and our waiter brings chips and salsa. And takes our order. I got the carne asada wet burrito. It was $3 extra for carne asada or else you're stuck with ground beef. Each plate is priced at $10-$15. Fortunately they are pretty generous portions. Not BIG, but decently generous. There could be more enchilada red sauce on the burrito and a little more guac but you know how that goes. Pink lemonade is on point and overall had a good dining experience. The food came out in 15 minutes and was pretty tasty. Would i go out of my way to come here and dine? Prob not. But in passing sure I'll stop in. read more

Love the food here. Little hole in the wall place in Westchester that I've been going to for a long time. They have the best potato tacos around. The enchiladas are super yummy and I like that you can make substitutions to orders to fit your needs. Everyone is super friendly as well no matter if you dine in or get take out. read more

Literally anything you eat here will be amazing. If you decide to eat there the staff is super friendly and very attentive. The super deluxe burritos, the super deluxe nachos special, the carnitas taquitos, the mix fajitas, some of my personal favorites. Their salsa also great and should be bottled, plus they give you whole tostadas which is different. The daily specials they have are great for a bite during lunch, and they have good deals on pitchers for after work get togethers. Can't speak highly enough about this place! read more

Delicious food, the salsas we're great also. I had the deluxe burrito with chunky beef. Yummy, the beef was so tender and the red sauce was not overpowering. A Michelada to drink with it, a very good meal. The cousins had been here before and really liked it. Now I have a new restaurant to visit when coming to LAX. Very sad to give this review. We've been coming to this restaurant for as long as we live in Westchester 21 years. The food is been delicious everything service has been wonderful. Unfortunately today we ran into this woman that is in charge of delivering orders and answer the phone not only she does not speak English she's also very rude, she could not understand my husband that the order was not complete so I talked to her in Spanish and told her the problem and she straight up told me she does not care and it was not her problem and hang up on me. I talk to her in Spanish explain to her our order was not complete she told me it was not her problem and hang up on me. I just got here because obviously I'm extremely upset. He fix the problem and told me it was his fault because he did not put the order complete but I want to make sure that he understands that's not the problem the problem here is that she is extremely rude and should not be answering phones and treating people the way she treat us. Really close to LAX if you're driving between the administration offices back to the airport along Sepulveda. I think it's street parking only but we parked right in front. Very casual place. Grab a menu and wait by the register to order. The host seemed to be the cashier and the cook also - lol - but he was very nice. Coworker and I both got the chicken burrito which is just meat with lettuce, cheese and sauce. Very simple and very filling. It took me two attempts to finish. He got through the whole thing in seconds. Lots of meat! Just kind of salty and nothing memorable is all. Looks like you might be better off trying what the others on here love. read more

I can hardly find the words to describe how terrible this place is. I have lived in westchester for 10 years and only yesterday did I decide to try this place. I usually go to Pacos or Cinco which are both VERY good. This place seemed quick and easy and since I was in a rush, I gave it a try. The food was terrible. I should have known it was going to be bad when they prepared a carnitas tostada and cheese enchilada in 4 minutes flat. I got home and wow. The tostada didn't have sour cream (did in the menu pictures and description) - and the carnitas were rock hard. Not even edible. The enchilada seemed like a tortilla with a slice of cheddar cheese in it. The food was cold when I got home and I live 5 minutes from El Tarasco. If you don't believe me, GO TRY IT. After your colossally disappointing experience, I recommend Cinco (especially during their amazing happy hour - try the queso!) or Pacos. Even chipotle is better 10 minutes away at the mall. read more

The super chicken burrito from here is absolute heaven! It's smothered in a delicious red sauce and topped with sour cream, guacamole and Pico de Gallo! Their carnitas is also amazing here! I have been going to several different El Tarasco locations since I was a young girl with my father. I remember the first time I was nine years old in the Marina/Venice Beach area. That was our regular go-to spot where we would both get Junior deluxe burritos and orange bangs and often sit at the counter. I'm now 37, and still go! I love this burrito and sauce - whether it's with beef, chicken, or carnitas. The beef is my favorite, then the Carnitas, and then chicken. I get chicken to keep it a little healthier, but the beef is the childhood memory for sure! They are also generous with the chips and salsa, and everyone is really nice and helpful. El Tarasco used to be one of my go-to cheap Mexican-American spot when it opened shortly after the turn of the millennium. I've returned twice in the last couple months, each time sticking with my old favorite: the machaca burrito. Before the main attraction arrives, free full-sized, circular corn tortilla chips arrive with a medium, finely ground salsa. Crispy and light, and a dash of salt livens up the flavor. The machaca burrito remains delicious - plenty of flavorful beef and eggs scrambled together and wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Both times I added an (expensive) side of guacamole to give the burrito a little more flavor and textural variety. Complaints? Last time I dined with my parents and partner the service took forever. Our "quick" meal turned into a lengthy operation, with food arriving nearly an hour after we ordered. Even worse, my partner had to watch us all dive into our burritos while he continued to wait another 15 minutes for his super deluxe wet burrito with carnitas. Also, the "cheap" designation didn't really apply to my meal. The machaca burrito is just under $11 and their guacamole is around $4-5. I think I've gotten my El Tarasco fix for the foreseeable future. When the machaca urge arises, I'll give them another go. read more

Yet another great yelp find! I was on the way to a meeting for work and had a little time to spare for lunch. I thought this would be the kind of place you order at the counter and then pick up your food; it's not. It's a full restaurant with waiter service. Much nicer atmosphere than I expected. I sat down and the waiter immediately took my order after setting down a huge thing of chips and salsa.. just for me! Bean & cheese burrito was what I was craving. Simple, delicious, and easy to make. The refried beans were perfection. The burrito was slightly greasy- just right. Tortillas were fresh and fluffy. And the price could not be beat. With a generous tip for great service my bill came to just over $7 total. They even let me use my credit card for my small purchase. Greatly appreciated since I was out of cash. I will return to try more of the menu. Seems like a great place to meet up with friends and get some delicious Mexican cuisine. read more
