What do they do for someone's birthday?

They will sing to you and I believe they bring a dessert out too. For large groups you would have to go through their reservation center to set it up.

As far as I know they don't have Karaoke. But they have DJ Tuesday and I believe Friday and Saturday as well. I only go for lunch because is sol close to my office and Tuesday evening for Taco Tuesday and DJ.

Horrible experience today! Made reservations last month to host 10 people for baby shower today. Checked in at 11:15 for 11:30 reservation and was told that 1/2 our party needed to be present and they were cleaning a table for us. A few minutes later 1/2 of our party was present and I was told that another table was being cleaned up for us. Had yo ask for multiple updates when Jesus said he would take care of it and we were his "priority". Didn't see him for about10 minutes then asked another manager what was going on?!! I said my entire party is here, we wanted to decorate the table being it's a baby shower our reservation was set for 11:30 and its now almost 12pm even though I checked in 45 minutes earlier and was told by this manager that they got "slammed" with people and they couldn't control the amount of people followed by next time I should have a contract done because then the "HAVE TO HONOR IT". Really???!!! I should have done a contract for 10 people?!! WOW! Finally got seated because our guest of honor just wanted to eat and we said we would take ANY table at this point. I told Jesus I would never come back to the Ontario location again I wi stick with the Corona location as I have NEVER had any problems there. Jesus then said he would do whatever it took to make things right if it meant him taking care of the bill he would. He offered pitchers of margaritas and he did being 2 of those to the table and did not charge me. When he brought me the bill he said he had taken care of 1 person's brunch yet he initially had mentioned taking care of the entire bill. When I read thru the bill he in fact did NOT even take care of 1 brunch like he said. I was not about to argue or complain anymore and I shouldn't have had to be the one to be direct and tell either manager that YES they should take care of the bill or at least do more than a pitcher of margaritas for the table. $339 for our party and I will NEVER be back to this location again. Too bad because I do host brunch/dinners for my employees but won't come here to do anymore. Oh one more thing, they had chocolate milk out which had expired 4 days ago!! read more

Wonderful food experience today April 13, 2024 here at El Torino Cantina Authentica Restaurant located at 5 San Leandro Marina San Leandro, California 93577. Our sliders & stuffed shrimp bacon wrapped appetizers were both delicious. My wife & my steak, grilled chicken & shrimp fajitas were both plentiful and delicious. My son's trio platter was also enormous and delicious. Our daughter's taco trio were also plentiful and great tasting. The high flame table-side presentation of our fajitas was fantastic. Most importantly along with the great tasting & plentiful food, the customer service here at El Torino Restaurant Cantina Authentica San Leandro, California was outstanding. Our server, Jessica #712 was friendly, attentive & super kind. I truly appreciate her customer service. Today's restaurant experience here at El Torino is by far the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN THE BAY AREA. Thank you Jessica, this is what customer service and appreciation for patronage of a restaurant establishment is all about, job well done.My family and I will definitely be back!!! During our recent visit our family encountered a series of unfortunate events that left us both frustrated and disappointed. Initially, we ordered individual fajita plates but later decided to opt for the family-sized fajitas meal, believing it would be more cost-effective and suitable for our group. However, when the bill arrived, we were surprised to find an additional charge for the individual plate we thought we'd canceled. Addressing this issue with our server, he became defensive, insisting we hadn't explicitly stated our intent to cancel the plate. This led to the involvement of the manager, who approached the situation with aggression. As we tried to explain, he condescended, raised his voice, and questioned our actions, making us feel blamed for the misunderstanding. His dismissive response, "There's a picture, right?" only added to our discomfort. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially when a simple misunderstanding could have been resolved in a professional and respectful manner. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, we were made to feel as though we were trying to take advantage of the situation. I had a disappointing experience booking a birthday buffet for 25 guests. While my visits with smaller groups have been positive, yesterday was unacceptable. Our reservation was from 4-6 PM; we arrived early, and the manager assured us we'd be seated shortly. Instead, we waited 25 minutes before being seated. One server handled our entire group, which led to extremely slow service--refilling drinks and taking orders was a frustrating ordeal. Our meal was prepaid, including buffet options, yet we didn't start eating until nearly 5 PM due to delays. To make matters worse, at 5:45 PM, the server informed us we had to pack up because our time was almost up. We requested an extra 30 minutes due to the late seating, which they begrudgingly granted, but for a nearly $1,000 reservation, the service was painfully lacking. The manager never checked on us during the slow arrival, and the overall experience was poorly managed. Additionally, it was 95 degrees outside, and we had to request the AC be turned down because the area was uncomfortably hot. Overall, if you're planning a birthday celebration here, avoid it. The service for large groups is consistently subpar, and this experience was a major disappointment. read more

Greeted by a powerful bull outside, I was gretted by lovely staff that saw me to my seat. I am handicapped in a wheelchair and was effortlessly navigated through the dining hall to a lovely seat with a beautiful view outside. Milvia, was very gracious and courteous and extremely professional. She gave me her recommendations and none of them were a miss at all. The quality of the food and service were very exceptional in a very frustrating time, having missed a flight at the local airport. Rosa also kept up with me making sure I was taken care of, my sour mood was probably apparent. I planned on leaving after I reached the maximum time I could check in for my flight, but because of Milvia and Rosa I decided to stay instead much longer than I originally planned ( the happy hour they told me about probably helped ). Came to this location for Sunday brunch to celebrate my friend's birthday. Immediately noticed how kind, organized and attentive the staff was. Because we had a large group, we had two waitresses, Kika and Adriana, serving our table. They were absolutely amazing! There was never a moment where they were out of sight and any request we had was filled within seconds! The manager, Hector, came to our table along with all of the other tables to introduce himself and make sure everyone was settled and satisfied with their experience (something you rarely see in restaurants these days, but it was very much appreciated). They had such a huge selection of fresh and delicious Mexican and American food items scattered all throughout the restaurant! It included an omelette station, made to order tacos and so much more! And I can't forget the bottomless mimosas! The vibes were so cheerful and upbeat, smiles on the staff and customers faces made this a truly wonderful experience! So, it's been ages since I set foot in El Torito, and boy, today reminded me exactly why! Strolled in on a Saturday afternoon, saw they had a breakfast buffet, and thought, "What the heck? Chilaquiles, menudo, or maybe an omelette could be fun!" Spoiler alert: it wasn't. From the moment we walked in, it felt like I was crashing a family reunion they didn't want me at. Service? Let's just say it could use a little...improvement. Then we hit the food options, and that's when the real letdown began. I mean, I've tasted cardboard with more flavor. The chips and salsa were the highlight, and that's saying something! The menudo was colder than my ex's heart--seriously, who serves cold menudo? And the omelette? Came in for lunch today with a big appetite but I was undecided on what to get. The moment I walked through the door, I was received by Jessica, who greeted me with a huge smile and a great attitude. She gave me a rundown of what was available and directed me to the bar, which was nice and cozy. Fabi, my server, was very friendly and gave great recommendations on the drink selection and recommended I try their buffet. It did not disappoint. Their tacos were nice and fresh (tortilla was made on the spot) and their selection of sides, salad, and lunch options were fantastic. I strongly recommend their corn bread, it's amazing! I recently dined at El Torito in Ontario, Ca, and the customer service truly stood out. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Our server named Adrianna greeted us with a smile, offered great menu suggestions, and checked in just the right amount not too often, but never too far when needed. The food arrived promptly, and any special requests we had were handled with ease and professionalism. What impressed me most was how the team worked together with our waitress Adrianna; you could tell they cared about creating a positive experience. Even during a busy period, they remained calm, courteous, and efficient. Overall, the service elevated our meal and made us feel valued as customers. Our family has been coming to this restaurant for many years. we've always had excellent service. We made reservations for approximately 30+ persons in the bar area to celebrate our brother's birthday during Sunday brunch. We must say they were very accommodating! Everything was set up and ready at 9am when our party arrived. Entrance to the restaurant is very inviting with big heaters when you walk in. The food presentation is excellent and the variety is delicious and appealing to all ages and tastes. We like the fact that they serve you portions at your request. The process for the omelette bar has been streamlined so you don't need to stand in line. I normally do not take time out of my busy day to write a review for any business, but I placed a to go order for pick-up to the El Torito Restaurant in Ontario, CA. When I arrived in El Torito to pick-up my order, I didn't check my order while inside the restaurant. I just paid and left. When I reached my home, I noticed some of my order was missing. Needless to say, I was mad. I called El Torito, and a calm professional manager came on the phone. Her name is Evelyn. I gave her the check number from my receipt, and she asked if I could come back. I said, due to heavy traffic. I wouldn't be able to return. Evelyn offered to bring me my missing items. Evelyn came to my home with an extra entree, plus she provided a new meal. Wow! My husband and I went last night, Saturday Sep 7th. We had went to the bar for happy hour and waited a while for our server, Nohemi, to take our order and then she disappeared. Half of our order comes out, we had no utensils or plates. We were trying to get the attention of somebody because who knows when our server was going to stop having conversation with her coworker in the corner of the bar. We eventually got utensils and still zero plates. We ate our wings on napkins.... at a restaurant. Came in for an early dinner since I skipped lunch and was on my way home. I was pleasantly delighted to find that the restaurant wasn't so busy so that meant I wouldn't have to wait all night for my food. I started with a light appetizer and a ice cold beer to get me in the mood. I must say, after a long day the beer hit really nice. I proceeded to order a few more beers before ordering food. I found myself getting a nice buzzzz and was beginning to start laughing at memes. I decided to order food once I realized I had trouble walking to the bathroom. I asked my server Sophia what she recommended and sold me on the dish. I must say she was spot on. She was attentive and very fast with my food as well as my drink orders. I want to thank Lorena, the hostess, Brenda our server, and Miriam the manager. We went on Sunday, the 28th for my husbands birthday. We had originally reserved it for 16 people but our party got bigger and we ended up needing it for 24 people! They helped accomodate our group and Miriam even extended the buffet a little longer for us! We were so grateful for that! Brenda was so kind and easy going with helping our group especially when it came down to splitting the checks. I must say excellent customer service. Came in to Sunday Brunch with my family to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. We were seated fast, servers were very attentive, we also had a manager who came to our table to make sure we were being taken care off. Food was excellent, we had omelettes and i got to say I was very impressed. There taco station also makes buritos and quesadillas. I had a burrito with everything made. I didnt get the girl's name who made my burrito, shes petite and cute dimples, she did an excellent job. There menudo and chili verde was so delicious. Overall, the buffet is delicious. And for dessert we got the churros and flan. We will be returning soon. I just wished i got our servers name. He was very attentive fast friendly and polite. We had ordered a margarita, and it honestly felt like an attempt to take advantage of the fact that we'd been drinking by nudging us toward a higher tip. To be clear, I don't blame the waitress for the missing beans, and I probably would have tipped 18% anyway. But between the overpriced food, the missing ingredients, and the preselected tip, the whole experience left such a sour taste in my mouth. I do not recommend.
