I used to come here all the time pre-covid. My favorite thing, that I would always get, was their steak fajita salad. I loved how big the portion was and the steak would come out mixed with all sorts of healthy vegetables. I missed my favorite salad so I ordered it to go and am INCREDIBLY disappointed. I will not go here again. The steak fajita salad is expensive, it's $18. I always get it because I love it. But I just paid $18 for steak on top of a few leaves and cheese. There are no peppers or onions or other seasonal veggies mixed in, and the portion is tiny. There almost isn't even any salad. DO NOT order takeout food. I sure won't. read more

The reason why I am posting this review is because of SARA! Checked in right before 10pm and I'd just thought I would ask, "Would it be possible if we can be seated by the window?" Right away she gave us an attitude! She replied so rudely "Do you seriously want to wait?? WE CLOSE AT 11!" We were both like whaaaat the heck and then she continued to say "well I can make a note" and we were like okay?? Then we walked away really upset and angry knowing she just messed up our mood! Like why couldn't she just say yes okay or something in that manner like why did she have to come off really unprofessional! Then when we get a text to go check in SARA was gone! So some other lady sat us down first and she told the couple that were next that their table was getting cleaned. So guess where we end up sitting? Somewhere in the middle where we did not want to sit! At this time my wife looked back and the couple behind us got the perfect table! In the corner but the window! So I went to go see if I can speak with the manager and luckily he helped us switch tables and special thanks to Jesus for serving us. Making great recommendations! Worst experience ever. Went in on a Friday afternoon after doing media shoots on the beach, from the initial impression we knew it was going to be a waste of time. We had to ask to seat ourselves because the two people that were working at the front saw us kept looking at us but failed to acknowledge or greet us. We seated ourselves at the bar and had to flag down the guy serving us because clearly everyone there failed to notice us and our big bags of equipment. So we order our food the platter woth wings and everything we asked for boneless wings but still got bone in wings and had to flag him down aggressively for us to get them swapped. They were already on our plate already on our stuff but he insisted to "scoop the wings" on another plate and take them back... awkward and strange but ok. Took them back to bring them again and say I'll just get you the other ones but keep these too.... They were overcooked beyond digestion. I walked in an got a reservation, they said it would be about 30 minutes. So I waited as time went past 30min became 40min. Got up an asked the check in counter said we just sent you a txt. Started walking an saw plenty of open. Tables when finally got to the table they wanted to place us. All the way in thw back right next to the DJ playing his mood. I asked for another table an guess what? Moved me in front of the dj about 3 tables in front of him. A few minutes later, someone gave us small very small basket of chips an small bowl of salsa for 3 people. 15 minutes go by an no one comes, I flagdown a waitress an asked is someone gonna come to our table to take our orders. She said let me check, 10 min later someone comes over an asked did anyone help us. I said no, he said ok let me help you. Placed the orders had a coupon for one free appitize, picked the guacamole an he said it will take 30 mins. I said never mind. Waited another 10 min for my drink. Had to ask for water! Came out same time my drink did 10 mind later! When the food came out, asked for a box to go an the waiter rolled his eyes an head in disbelief. Visited this location for a birthday celebration and it's very nice with a great scenery. Does not look like a typical El Torito. However, for the restaurant not to be crowded, service was bad for a group of 10 people. We had about 3 waiters and they were all forgetful. We did not have silverware nor plates when our food arrived to the table. We had to ask various times for refills, condiments, and etc. However, the food was good and have no complaints there. Management needs to know which staff members can handle large parties and which cannot. read more

Came here just 2 days before. My out of town family spoke so highly about the food, ambiance and service, we had to bring others who where here for a family reunion. My family and I were walking around the pier and we decided to grab some lunch here. The food was good. I ordered the Vampiro tacos and my husband ordered the bacon wrap shrimp . He enjoyed his shrimp. The tacos were very spicy . I love spicy food , but this was another level of spicy. Be careful when you bite into the pieces of serrano lol. We also ordered table side guacamole which was very good . The only down fall was the server missed opportunities to interact with us like while preparing our table side guacamole. She was quite the whole time and didn't smile much . Service was just ok . I had a Cadillac margarita and a strawberry margarita on the rocks both were very delicious. Last time I will come to this restaurant. I had requested 4 tables for my big family and we were all sat separate. I brought it up to the manager Maria that we wanted to sit all together and we mentioned ways to that we can sit together since there were about 8 booths and a big table available and they refused. After already waiting 45 minutes, Maria said we would have to an additional hour and a half. Worst customer service ever, manager Maria very rude along with host at the front. My boyfriend and I came here for our first meal in the city. We were attracted to the large windows overlooking Redondo Beach and loved the fact that we could sit down -- as opposed to a lot of the other boardwalk stops. The staff here were very attentive and very kind. We started the meal with a couple of cocktails. My boyfriend ordered a crisp Pacifico and I got the classic Cadillac Margarita. Loved the margarita. Didn't have the bite of a typical well margarita -- which was NEEDED after a hangover from the day before. For dinner I ordered the combo with the Beef Barbacoa taco (which was my favorite), the Mexico City flautas, and the chicken enchilada. The meal was absolute FIRE. Loved the taco the most but thought the flautas were pretty delicious as well. The enchilada was a little dry. It was great! Overall pleased. Pretty casual. Newly remodeled, beautiful ocean/beach views, great accommodating staff... I ordered a Happy Hour draft XX Amber and it tasted flat but when I mentioned it to our bartender, Merari, she offered me a XX Amber in a bottle, even though it was not a Happy Hour price; she gave it to me at $4. So nice. I ordered the Mexican Street Corn off of the Happy Hour menu and asked for Tapatio (received immediately) .. so delicious. Let me tell you I came on Sunday to the brunch we had a party of 20 and from the time we walked in til the time we walked out we had EXCEPTIONAL service... Walking in the door we were greeted by a pleasant young man and young lady they were so attentive to not just to our party but to every customer. We sat on the patio and the view is GORGEOUS!!! Gustavo was our server and he was just a delight we loved his energy. Completely disappointing. I came here two years ago and had one of the best experiences, but this most recent one was a complete flop. I drove all the way from Vegas hoping to have a similar experience, but it was irritating from the start. I came to check in with the host and she kept saying how long it'll be because they closed in an hour and already had a little wait so it was obvious she just didn't want us to stay. She says, "it'll be an hour and a half wait." Let me mind you they were empty tables already and maybe only 3-4 families waiting. She simply was trying to keep the wait short so she could go home. I was in the middle of speaking to my boyfriend saying I doubt it'll be that long it'll probably be 30-45 mins, she RUDELY interrupts and says actually it could be even longer than the hour and a half. Like please stfu. The wait was exactly 45 mins. Then we are going to be seated and we come here for the view while we eat and they want to sit us far away from the windows. I kindly ask to sit at an available table across from us and he goes we can't do that there's 5 of you. I correct him and show him there's 4 in my party. He goes well either way that's already assigned to someone else so I can't. Imagine driving all this way for your birthday, waiting 45 mins, and then being told no to what table you can pick. After we sat down it took so long to even be acknowledged, I honestly thought they were giving us crappy service on purpose because I was becoming visibly upset and they didn't want to deal with it. The server was doing his best, so I won't mention and name, but if it's going to take the server that long to even say hello to us shouldn't somebody be helping him? Also last time I was here they came and sang for me and brought me a birthday treat. But guess what? The moment we asked for the check he had it right away. The food was delicious and the view was gorgeous.. the manager and waiters went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience and enjoyed our meal.. if something was wrong with our meal they corrected it .. they also move super quick. I went this past weekend with my family. I have 3 kids and at times it's hard to have a decent meal with wild children. DAWN was the sweetest waitress I've encountered in a very long time.
