Me and my family have been coming here for years and we have been always been greeted with kindness. Gumaro is always kind and his service is beyond amazing. Always treats us like family and goes above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need and remembers us when when we come in even if it's been a hot minute. I highly recommend coming here especially with Gumaro as your server. You will not be disappointed with his service and his kindness. Came here for happy hour with my classmates. Really wanted the chips and guacamole but our server said she couldn't make it that night, so we opted for salsa. They were super busy and service wasn't fast, but the food was decent. I'd definitely get the tacos again. I thought it was a great deal during happy hour (only $6!). The sopes were pretty good too as long as you had it with the sauce. Overall, an okay place to chill. read more

If I could give this place a minus stars I would. Went here for Mother's Day, made reservations a month before, arrived early and checked in. After checking in the girl informed us, we had two parties in front of us, and she would call us as soon as it was ready. 45 minutes go by I go back up there, and the girl informs us that we now have 5 parties in front of us. I said how does that happen; we made reservations for 11 a.m. it is now going on noon you told me 2 in front now 5, she had NO idea how to answer that question. (Keep in mind there were people everywhere trying to get in) But that shouldn't matter if you made a reservation. I asked my son in law to go into the bar and see if maybe they had a table we could grab and order drinks until our reservation was ready. We go into the Bar (they had a table) my son in law goes up to the bar to order drinks the bartender tells him that a waitress will be coming to our table. The waitress comes to our table we inform her that we are waiting for our table and we want to order drinks, she tells us that she needs to ask her manager if we can since we have a reservation..Wait..What???? that doesn't make sense, we want to order drinks pay for them until our table is ready. The Bar Manager comes out and tells us we cannot order drinks because we have reservations. I have never heard of such a thing, you want your customers spending money. When I questioned her, she had no reply except " I'm sorry, but we can't serve you when you have a reservation, again I have never heard of such a thing...I am a General Manager of a Hotel Resort in Palm Springs Ca and if any one of my staff members treated anyone like this, they would not be working here. I feel we were discriminated against everyone that was getting seated were of a different nationality...AGAIN, we had a reservation that we had made a month prior. I will be putting in a call to Andy, I believe he is the General Manager and sending a letter to corporate. read more

Went to Torito today in the morning and i've always had a wonderful time there, no complains. The only thing that bothered me was seeing my server Noemi yell at the manager in the middle of the dine in.There were multiple guest around her. It's very unprofessional of her part and after that she kinda seemed bothered. It made me and my party very uncomfortable and left us with a bad taste in our mouth as a person who also was in the customer service industry. El Torito is a go to favorite for my family and I when we're in the mood for Mexican food. I definitely start with the table side guacamole and I have it ALL to myself! In a effort to stick with my vegan diet I choose either spinach enchiladas or veggie fajitas. (Special request to ensure it arrives free of animal products) I was pleasantly surprised to find Heineken Zero on the menu. It's a non alcoholic beer however it tastes just like the real thing. It was nice and cold and complimented my meal very well. I have a small complaint about this particular location. The restroom smells awful! It smells as if the sewer is leaking somewhere in there. This is on every visit for the last three plus years. It would be nice to use the restroom without having to hold my breath. read more

Good service. We only visited the bar area for happy hour. Music was a little too loud to properly hold a conversation though. Tables were sticky & we had to ask for them to be wiped down. Chicken sopes were okay. They were drier than normal for some reason. I've had them at other El Toritos before. The mango margarita is always a win. El Torito is the choice today due to the size of our party. We all went with the buffet for its convenience. The hostess took us promptly to our table. And our server got us our drinks promptly too. Why the 3 stats you ask? It's because of the food. Chili Verde and Chili Colorado were so salty that rice and beans were not enough to tone it down, I had to add chips to make them edible. I did enjoy the flan to satisfy my cravings. That said, my friends and I had a great time seeing each other the first time since the pandemic. That fellowship is priceless. read more
