Sadly the service and food were very disappointing. Took way too long just to order and get our food. It's obvious they are understaffed so we were pretty patient. Food quality has been better, but i highly recommend the brunch. They are more attentive and friendly for brunch. Maybe tonight was a bad night for them idk but left disappointed.... P.S - This is her brother speaking now: The chicken was dry. I ordered water before my meal and received it after we all finished eating. The "Hard shell Tacos" were served as tostadas. I have to admit it had been about 20 years since it stepped foot into an El Torito. The last experience I had was not good to say the least. BUT I'm glad I made the decision to try again. The location is San Bernardino has really come a long way. The Food was really good, I ordered the Chicken Floutas which were and a Three Item combo with a Beef Taco, Chicken Tamale and cheese enchilada. Everything had really good flavor and was presented nicely. The salsa was a lil dry if that makes sense but the flavor was 100% there. Of course there are other more hard core Mexican establishments with super authentic food but for night out and to fill that craving of Mexican food in a fun environment definitely hit up El Torito in San Bernardino you won't be sorry the Service was great the location was clean and it was a definite do over!!! read more

Went there on a Tuesday night, bartender older man , I thought he was nice, I was wrong, he added $15 extra dollars on my bill for a tip I did not approve. I have been call the restaurant and I have got an answer, when going there and drinking at the bar please check your account to ensure no additional funds are added to your bill. There was something really wrong with our meal tonight 10/29. All of the food tasted as if it was prepared hours ago which led us to speculate that we got leftovers from the lunch buffet. The salsa that we order often tasted purposefully thinned out with water as to avoid preparing more, video for reference, not chunky like it normally is, it was salsa soup. Not sure what happened, new staff? Disgruntled staff? Lazy Staff? But when we pay $70 w/ $18 cash tip for a to go order one thing is for sure, we will not be eating at el torito anymore with this level of carelessness and inconsistency & in this economy? Yoseline was our Server. I ordered mini tacos and queso, Yoseline brought sopes I mentioned it was incorrect..no apology she took the plate away with attitude. My Boyfriend ordered chicken tacos with no onions and unfortunately it was covered in onions. When he advised the waitress he has allergies she questioned him and told him everything has onions and once again no apology. I asked Yoseline for a coconut margarita, she said they didn't have that. We have ordered it before. I asked the bartender and he advised they do have coconut margaritas but it's not on the happy hour menu. We love El Torito but this waitress may need additional training in etiquette as well as what the restaurant has on the menu. Yoseline was a Very rude waitress and doesn't know the menu. Sorry Yoseline I really don't enjoy posting negative reviews on servers but the way you spoke to my partner, your attitude when making errors was just too much. I was a server for years and this is not how you treat people. 0 tip and we sold a car today and was hoping to bless someone tonight. However, neither management nor other staff provided her any assistance with water, chip refills, delivering food and drinks, or even pre-bussing. It just isn't physically possible for one person to do all those tasks for a party that big in a reasonable time. Great food and drinks, but I would think twice about bringing a large party if this is how they continue to run their restaurant. But if you do, request Stephanie, she took care of my whole family with no complaints. read more

If I could give this place a minus stars I would. Went here for Mother's Day, made reservations a month before, arrived early and checked in. After checking in the girl informed us, we had two parties in front of us, and she would call us as soon as it was ready. 45 minutes go by I go back up there, and the girl informs us that we now have 5 parties in front of us. I said how does that happen; we made reservations for 11 a.m. it is now going on noon you told me 2 in front now 5, she had NO idea how to answer that question. (Keep in mind there were people everywhere trying to get in) But that shouldn't matter if you made a reservation. I asked my son in law to go into the bar and see if maybe they had a table we could grab and order drinks until our reservation was ready. We go into the Bar (they had a table) my son in law goes up to the bar to order drinks the bartender tells him that a waitress will be coming to our table. The waitress comes to our table we inform her that we are waiting for our table and we want to order drinks, she tells us that she needs to ask her manager if we can since we have a reservation..Wait..What???? that doesn't make sense, we want to order drinks pay for them until our table is ready. The Bar Manager comes out and tells us we cannot order drinks because we have reservations. I have never heard of such a thing, you want your customers spending money. When I questioned her, she had no reply except " I'm sorry, but we can't serve you when you have a reservation, again I have never heard of such a thing...I am a General Manager of a Hotel Resort in Palm Springs Ca and if any one of my staff members treated anyone like this, they would not be working here. I feel we were discriminated against everyone that was getting seated were of a different nationality...AGAIN, we had a reservation that we had made a month prior. I will be putting in a call to Andy, I believe he is the General Manager and sending a letter to corporate. read more

Be careful when you get the bacon wrapped shrimp, my order was COMPLETELY RAW, not even almost cooked, straight RAW shrimp.. then when I complained and show the manager he says "ugh, I don't want to see that" well I also did not want to bite into a completely raw shrimp with my autoimmune kidney disease!
