Oofff... I didn't realize it is a C rating, I pass by this place so frequently and I haven't been here in so long. I used to LOVE THE Corn cake, it's this sweet corn mash thats not really even a cake. We order the grande fiesta platter, and the ignited fajita superme. (We requested non spicy) Also a queso dip for the chips. It was so good we cleaned the plates off almost instantly, the flautas so flaky and crispy. Quesadilla stuffed with cheese. It was so satisfying. The service is a bit slow, not bad but I was getting a little impatient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is the same as always warmly lit, not too bright.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time at El Torito and I heard good things about the place an food. It was a weekday night so wasn't as busy, we only had to wait a few minutes for our table to be ready and we sat at a booth. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very well decorated with many statues, facade building structures and decorations as if you are in a very cozy homestyle village.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chips we got were a bit hard but the refills are much better, the salsa was actually really spicy. Unfortunately I am not good with spicy food, most of the food were listed as spicy, however, our server was able to accommodate and put in our order as non-spicy. We ordered the queso dip so I can eat the chips they gave, very delicious when hot! Difficult to eat once cooled so eat it while it's hot. We also got the Grande Fiesta Platter, nonspicy, which meant the wings were plain (still amazing, crispy), flautas were so flaky and crispy, and nachos were good but when the beans solidified it was hard to eat without sticking to my mouth. For mains, we shared the ignited fajitas supremas, it looks like it had the most to offer as a mix of everything. We got flour tortillas and it was good, I think the corn bread was the best, I feel they gave more shrimp than chicken/beef but the portions may be for one person rather than 2. Overall, we ate everything, I enjoyed the food, I really want to try their brunch buffet, I think I would enjoy it more.

Just left Sunday brunch at El torito on 3/15 and I don't even know where to start with what a disaster this place is. We made a reservation for 12 guests for my moms 64th birthday about 1 month in advance and requested to be sat outside for a more spacious and less noisy environment as we would have a newborn baby with us + my 90 year old grandmother. As soon as we got there, we were placed at a crammed table INSIDE although we were told originally told we would get the outside space. Upon sitting in the very tight space, we all got up to go serve ourselves at the buffet which did not have any plates available for about 10 minutes and a lot of the main dishes had not been replenished. Guests were squeezing in wherever they could in the buffet as there was 0 structure and no employees watching the buffet to make sure there was some sort of organization. It honestly looked like a bunch of ants fighting for food. My husband and I then got in the taco line while we waited for plates as it was a long wait for tacos anyway. There was 1 lady at the taco station making tortillas which took her a VERY long time to make. This is not her fault-only El Torito's fault for not staffing properly. When it was finally our turn to ask for tacos, she proceeded to give us tortillas and we helped ourselves to serving the meat as we saw other people doing so. The taco lady yanked the serving spoon away from my husbands hand and said it was her job to serve us. We thought that was very rude and uncalled for. We didn't know she was also supposed to serve us as she was SO busy making tortillas. Again, this is El Torito's fault for lacking organization. Aside from this, None of the food was labeled so there was a lot of very confused people just serving themselves. I had random people behind me asking me what the dish was that I was serving myself. Finally, when the mariachi came to sing my mom happy birthday, one of the hosts/servers walked a family of 10 right THROUGH the mariachi which completely ruined the video we were recording for my mom with the mariachi singing to her. This place lacks lots of class, good service, organization, and quality. I remember coming here about 10 years ago when it was a lot different. It's safe to say, we don't plan on coming back here and I don't advise anyone to come here for any special celebrations as management does not care to make your experience a special one. My mom was very disappointed that we had to spend her birthday here. My sister asked to speak to a manager halfway through our meal and we were told a manager would come but they never did. I would appreciate if management reached out to me directly so we could discuss this matter.

We went on 5 de Mayo, early enough before lines got long. We haven't been to an El Torito in years!!! We were skeptical but wanted some tacos. We waited 25 minutes and got seated. We ordered à la carte. The chips were golden and nicely salted. Salsa was nice. Ordered a guacamole. Needed a little salt but overall fresh. The plates of food were really good and so were the drinks. Overall a great experience. The only bad thing was the service. We knew it was busy and our waitress tried her best. We didn't get utensils, never got our queso fundido, when we did we were done with our meal, same with my tortillas for my fajitas. They came when I was done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was vibing with it being 5 de mayo and taco Tuesday. It was nice and clean and everyone was super friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll come back.

When for wife's office last minute x-mas party.. Service was great.. attentive Food was ok .. not as it used to be.. timing was a little off as a few had to wait for their dishes, as ours got cold.. Ran out of soup.. Well drinks need some attention.. All in all it was ok...

Sunday brunch is the way to go. Unlimited mimosas and a huge array of buffet options. From omelettes, taco bar, seafood station, soups, salads, desserts, and of course all the main courses like birria, enchiladas, Chile verde, chilaquiles, Chile rellano, and Chile Colorado. There is something for everyone. The service is excellent and there is mariachi that goes around playing music for tips. Price is roughly $45 an adult but it includes everything. Certain types of drinks are an additional charge. They also have happy hour specials that are also worth checking out! Definitely recommend checking it out.

Great Happy Hour drinks and prices!

Great location for Mexican food and drinks, especially during Happy Hour!.. I enjoyed the steak and chicken fajitas and they were delicious... The waiter, while busy, made sure that we were taken care of...

My wife, daughter, and I returned for dinner within three days after our first-ever visit to this restaurant. We loved the vibe upon entering this restaurant. The decorations, the colors, the aroma of Mexican food in the air, the music playing in the background -- all of this makes this place scream, "fun." Service was good but not great. After taking a phone call for a large reservation, the male hosts walked away without acknowledging my wife and me and never returned. That was strange, my initial reaction was. Waited for an additional four to five minutes before a female employee asked us, "Have you been helped?" To which I replied, "No". This employee escorted us to a large table, handed us menus, and advised us that someone would be right with us. It took a while, but our waitress finally came out to greet us. The extremely friendly waitress took our orders (chicken/shrimp fajitas, Birria tacos, and a well-done cheeseburger combo for our daughter). Now begins the wait time. We waited and waited and waited some more for our food. Our waitress checked on us several times and even came by to offer us fresh, complimentary guacamole simply for enrolling in the restaurant's rewards club. The guacamole was DELICIOUS! The waitress advised us that the long delay was due to our request for a well-done burger. Our food finally arrived thirty-seven minutes after we placed our food orders. A tad longer than we are used to when ordering food, but "oh well" was my attitude. It's time to eat. My fajitas were EXCELLENT!! Very tasty and well prepared. My wife LOVED her tacos; however, my daughter was so-so about her burger. It was definitely on the dry side. A group of four ladies was seated two tables away, and as a result, our waitress was occupied helping this table during our visit We were never offered refills of our beverages and had to ask for them towards the end of our visit. No complaints from me, but worth mentioning nonetheless. Our waitress appeared to be the only employee assisting our little section of the restaurant, which by now had five tables to handle alone. Despite the long wait to be seated and the long wait for our food to be delivered to our table, this was still a positive dining experience.

    STREET TACO TRIO - CARNITAS
    Jerry H.

The El Torito is located conveniently located near the freeway and very close to hotels nearby so they can walk to the restaurant. The restaurant has a great open Mexican theme with great colors. We ordered the carnitas taco trio plate and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The salad was absolutely delicious with the cilantro lime Caesar dressing. The service was a bit slow for drinks and our dishes came out at different times. However it was delicious and everything taste very good.

    Caesar Salad. Messy plating.

Was I the only person thinking this place had closed down?? I drive the 10fwy every so often, I don't know how the years passed since I've been here. Unfortunately, I haven't missed too much. I'll start with this...not the best place to celebrate a birthday or have big group gatherings. The service here is epically lacking. We attended a birthday lunch on a Saturday, we were a group of 24 people. It was preplanned, weeks ahead- with the restaurant's management/staff. With that being said, menu and drinks would be ordered from a shorter "party" menu. The day of: We didn't have enough tables and chairs. We had the wrong menus. We had one over worked server attending our large group that kept disappearing. It took 2 hours to get our orders out to our tables. The food itself, I heard no complaints other than the 3 1/2oz Dinner Steak ( its carne asada) and Shrimp plate. The guys left the table hungry. I ordered the Slow Roasted Carnitas plate and it was good. The side sauce added an extra taste of goodness to it. The carnitas were well cook- not at all dry, great flavor. The carnitas is a good portion, after seeing the Steak plates, I was glad I had more than enough to share with my husband. The beans were flavorful and the rice was okay. Mexican Caesar Salad was decent. Romaine lettuce was crisp. Overall, not the best experience. All plated orders could be cleaned up before bringing out to tables, Restaurant floors were dirty on side where our group was seated and service was a huge miss. Bummer.

Monday Margarita all day long $2.99 and they taste so good!!!!

If on a tight budget, the Good Company (Covina) is a prime location for casual drinking or hangout. It's food is not bad, but you can taste its affordability. I arrived on Saturday (around 5:40PM). Customers walk to the counter and order. Staff (Omar) is friendly and hardworking. He's seen constantly moving and interacting with guests. My orders arrived quickly. The Cheeseburger Bun was ready in 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The Matcha Berry Affogato arrived at my table in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. The food's presentation is memorable. The Cheeseburger Bun ($6) includes wagyu ground beef, melted American cheese, thinly sliced pickle, and fried thin onion slivers. Eating it with the white bun reminded me of sloppy joe in a soft taco. This very wet, mushy meal is cheesy and oily. Still, it's filling and cheesy with a very affordable price-point. The Matcha Berry Affogato ($6) is a scoop of ice cream swimming in a lake of liquid matcha. The flavors are decent but not memorable. The ice cream was chill and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, the liquid matcha arrived almost lukewarm. It would have been much more refreshing if the entire dish came cold. The presentation is eye-catching, but it lacked any real taste. Still, it's a very affordable experience. Concerning ambiance, The Good Company (Covina) performs extremely well. The location is very clean and comfortable with upbeat & fun music. There's also one flatscreen tv in the corner with closed captioning english subtitles. The location is well-ventilated, and the furniture all look very new and well-maintained. Even though the location is small, the colors and decor make it feel spacious and comfortable. Overall, The Good Company (Covina) is a good, budget hangout location. The food has an attractive appearance but its taste is unfortunately comparable to premium fast food. If heading there, bring good company and you'll definitely have a good time. 4 out of 5

My only complaint was the chicken portion to salad was a little slim but, the crispy tots made up for it. The star of the show was the bread pudding! I'm not a huge fan of soggy bread but, this one was perfect. It had candied walnuts, caramel, vanilla ice cream and apples. Probably some of the best bread pudding I've had. And took responsibility So now I change my review to 5 stars. I came to Gladiators Brew around 2:50 PM to watch the Argentina CPV World Cup match. Around 3:10 PM, I ordered food. About five minutes later, a bartender came over and asked if I wanted something to drink. I told him I still hadn't received my food yet and asked if he knew what I had ordered. He said, "No, I just got here," so I pointed to the other employee who had taken my order. After waiting nearly 30 more minutes, I still hadn't received either my soda or my meal. I finally walked up to the bartender, and he said he was busy. About 10 minutes later, he brought my soda but never apologized for the delay or acknowledged the long wait. Another 15 minutes passed, and I had still not received my food. I flagged him down again, and he asked, "What did you order?" I reminded him that I had ordered from the other employee. I waited another 10 minutes with no food. At that point, it had been almost an hour since I ordered, so I finally got the attention of the employee who originally took my order. He simply said, "OK, OK." As I write this review, it's 4:02 PM, and I still have not received my food. I understand places get busy, but the lack of communication, follow-up, and even a simple apology made this a very frustrating experience. I came here to enjoy the game, but instead spent most of the first half wondering if my order had been forgotten.

It's a huge open airy location. Walked in and looks and smells clean. They have tvs and pool tables so a great spot to hang out and watch the game. Lots of seating too! There's some outside seating and fun to people watch. Drinks are great! We didn't try any food this time but there's a lot of choices on the menu! Definitely will stop by again!

I am far from a connoisseur but let's give it a shot. Tried the Stereo instruction and it was light and refreshing. Next was Blue Raspberry spritzer also very light more like jolly rancher vibe, next was The couch Crusher very tasty light beer similar to a Michelob Ultra vibe, I sampled (yes free Samples) The Hopodouken and woah not for me it's a heavy hops earthy flavor beer. Acquired taste if you ask me. Finally my favorite was The Triple Jam. Slightly sweet and light goes down smooth. It was packed Sunday Playoff game. Seating was limited. Very staff was on it, service was excellent. Didnt get to try the pizza shop connected to the bar. Maybe next time. The vibes are excellent. Can't wait to be back.

As I pulled up to the parking lot, I noticed they had an outdoor seating area, which is really nice on hot days. It looked like a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a drink in the evening. When I went inside, I immediately liked the camping and outdoor vibes. The whole place has that rustic, lodge-style feel that makes it stand out. They had a bunch of pinball machines, which was a fun surprise, and there were murals all around the walls -- including ones of Lakers legend Kobe and the LA Dodgers. It definitely gives off strong local pride and a laid-back atmosphere. The inside is very spacious, with plenty of room to move around and a lot of TV screens, making it a solid spot to catch a game. I could easily see myself coming back to watch a Dodgers game there. That said, my experience at the bar wasn't the best. When I stepped into line to order, it seemed like the two beertenders were a bit distracted. There was a group of ladies sitting at the bar, and it felt like they were getting most of the attention. Usually, beertenders are welcoming and might ask something like, "Is this your first time here?" but the guy with the long mustache who served me gave off more of a "What do you want?" vibe. I asked for a taster, and he did provide one, but I didn't feel comfortable enough to ask to try anything else. At other breweries, I usually feel encouraged to explore the menu a bit more. Instead, I just winged it and ordered the Pink Lemonade Seltzer. It was okay, but compared to a lot of seltzers out there now, it wasn't very flavorful. It almost had a slight medicine-like taste. Because I didn't really feel the love from the beertenders, I ended up having just one drink and heading out. The space itself has a lot going for it -- great theme, fun games, plenty of TVs, and nice outdoor seating -- but I definitely think there's room for improvement in the customer service department. I might give it another try in the future, especially to catch a Dodgers game, but I'm hoping for a warmer, more welcoming experience next time.
