    Guava cake

I picked up a guava cake from here. It was unique and flavorful. This place is a Guamian bakery. There were several good items from there. I will be trying other things later.

I'm always a happy camper when having anything from elite bakery. Especially when it comes to finding good guava cake. They even have personal size guava cake. I've tried many cupcake flavors. Guava..Pandan..Mango..Ube. Yummm! They're all good. I have yet to try their other items but my sweet tooth gets the best of me.

I'd been hearing friends rave about this cake for months, so I finally gave in and ordered one for my son's birthday. The team at Elite Bakery couldn't have been more courteous, placing the order over the phone was effortless, and pickup was a breeze. Now, the cake itself? Absolute magic. Our family devoured it down to the very last crumb; something we've never managed with a birthday cake before. It was that good. In fact, we loved it so much we didn't even wait for another occasion... we ordered the same cake again for our next party. Thank you, Elite Bakery, for turning a simple birthday into something unforgettable.

Several years ago, prior to C0v!d, Kristina F recommended Elite Bakery when I visited the Bay Area. I could never come because I have been landing at San Jose Airport and going to see families in South Bay. But last weekend, I purposely landed in Oakland and got a chance to visit Union City and Elite Bakery. Not knowing the staff shortage and food has to be preordered by phone as most of food required 15-20 minutes to cook. I ordered some Filipino breads to take home and cupcakes for the moment while driving back to my hotel room. Everything was so delicious. I'll be back to try other items that require to call ahead.

My apologies for the picture. It was taken in a resto-bar hence, it is a little dark. A friend bought this for aniother friend's bday. The cake is soft and moist, not too sweet. I just could not decide if I like the guava flavor or not. A lot of my friends loved it, but I think it is an acquired taste. I would probably get some in the future and try it again to see if I learned to like it.

Got tired of ordering from 85c or ParisB etc for birthday cake, so wanted to try something different and after reading yelp reviews around the area, I chose to give Elite a try and it was a great decision. The cake layers were moist and flavorful. The yellow cake layers were soft and consistent throughout the cake, it doesn't fall apart either which was well made. The cake still tasted well after a day or two in the fridge as left over. The frosting on top and side were also very good, foamy and tasted like milk, not artificial.

I highly recommend this bakery. They have been here for years. They always have great customer service. I ordered the guava cake a week before. I think for any cake, you must ordered a couple days before. They do have cupcakes in the bakery. There is plenty of parking. I came in to get my cake and it was ready. It was for my son's party. Everyone loved it! Thank you!

Will you be open on 12/23 or 12/24?

Hi, yes we’ll be open on those dates and closed Christmas Day. Thanks

Do you have guava chiffon cupcakes?

Hi, Unfortunately we don’t offer guava chiffon cupcakes. However we do make individual serving size…

Do you do catering/ Delivery ? and is there a minimum.

Hi, We do have some party tray options for weekend orders.…

Do you make gluten free cakes?

    Hi, Unfortunately we don’t.

Buenas. I will need 30 pieces of spicy empanada ( fried fresh ) on January 30th by 12PM. Will you have enough if I walk in and order on that day, or do I need to make a deposit first?

Hafa Adai, It’s always best to call in ahead of time to schedule an order.…

How much are a dozen of cupcakes? Guava, mango, vanilla?

Hi, cupcakes range in cost from $3.75-$4.50 depending on flavor or if you’d like a design. Please call 510-400-1425 within our business hours or email me at KVillo@elite-bakery.com.…

Is this place actually open? I see it closed every time I pass by

9 AM to 2 PM daily... Except closed on Wednesdays. Absolutely wonderful bakery, but like many places... They only have to be open a few hours to run out of all of their goods.

Hi, sorry we just saw this notification. It’s always best to call within business hours to check for availability. As of 10a 9/15/23 we’re sold out of mild empanada. Please call 510-400-1425. Thanks

Unfortunately our photo printer is down at the moment. Please note, we typically ask for a 4 day leeway on standard orders, 6 day for cake set or edible image cakes and a 2 week leeway for custom (fondant, or shaped) cake orders. Thanks

Hi Ken do you do delivery to Oriental Market in Roseville? I know you have plenty pastries there. One Special order I want to place is Guava Chiffon Cake.

Unfortunately that wouldn’t be possible. Our bread delivery man has multiple stops and the cake sitting in a hot van would probably melt or shift in the box and get smashed.

Hi Kenny. Do you do cupcakes with filling? For example, like a strawberry shortcake type of cupcake (vanilla cupcake with strawberry/whipped cream filling)? Thank you.

Unfortunately we don’t offer that option using fresh fruit for cupcakes. The only cupcakes that do have a gel filling is the guava and mango. You can order a vanilla cupcake with a strawberry flavored whip topping. Please call 510-400-1425 between…

The malasadas were definitely good. It feels like care went into each one--they tasted all homemade and fresh. They definitely did not skimp out on cream or filling. I'm typically not a fan of desserts, but these had the perfect level of sweetness for me. The fruits were nice and ripe as well. The two flavors I got were the blueberry matcha and the mango. The blueberry matcha had this nice rich blueberry jam mixed in with cream that actually has a good matcha taste. The mango one was really fresh--this one was my favorite. Although they aren't cheap at about $6.25 per one, they were definitely delicious. It seems like a family run business that puts a lot of care into their products though. There were a few people in line and it did take about 10 minutes before we were able to order. During that time, some of the malasada flavors ran out, but they were quickly replenished. We grabbed an assortment of flavors, an iced oat latte, and a black sesame latte. The banana creme brulee malasada looked so good that we had to try it in the store while waiting for our drinks. The dough is so soft and pillowy with a crispy layer of bruleed sugar and a delicious banana cream that was absolutely to die for. At $6.50, it's not a cheap treat, but it was super delicious and I'm glad we tried it. The drinks were also great. The espresso shot they pulled perfectly complemented the oat milk -- this is one of the better iced oat lattes I've had. We tried the black sesame latte because it sounded interesting and it was so creamy and loaded with black sesame flavor. For anyone that doesn't drink caffeine, I highly recommend you try the black sesame latte. With such great quality malasadas and drinks, it's no wonder there was a line! We'll definitely be back!

There's no seating area inside the bakery, but there are some tables outside next to a water fountain. Of the times that I've been there, it's mostly empty and clean, and the trash bins are not overflowing. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The brioche donut is soft but holds the fillings in well. There's also a bit of crunch from the sugar on the outside of the donut. There's an ample amount of filling, so you get to taste the flavors. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie. It looked like a big mound of baked dough. Overall, it was okay. I would easily skip this for the donuts instead. I haven't tried their coffees, but my daughter loves the hot chocolate, and I have been enjoying their calamansi juice. It's nice and tart, not too sweet. I have seen some savory options but have not tried them. I will be back to explore the menu.

It's very quiet when I come here and there were only a few people here. I wanted to take my order in person but the employee seems to be too busy in preparing them. I waited for a couple minutes and then decided to order from the Kiosk. The Upside Down Halo Halo was interesting because some of the ingredients were swapped such as Ube ice cream with the yellow one. I don't know what it's called but I'll have to look it up. Usually Halo Halo's main ingredient is Ube ice cream, which is why it's flipped upside down.
