I am rating them a 1 star solely on the fact that they were late, took 1 look at my sink, and decided that they were going to charge me $300 to open up the garbage disposal based on no actual evidence that is the problem. Our garbage disposal works fine! Ridiculous! When I originally made an appointment, the lady quoted me an estimate of $69 to "snake it". Supposedly my sink didn't need to be "snake". No clue. But I would never waste my time with this company again... nor would I recommend them to anyone. We didn't get any work done by them but they appear dishonest from the get go so BYE! Can't fool me. Their message was: "Hey David, Our price to cable your drain stoppage through a clean out is $69 and we can have a technician to you whenever is best for you! " That was substantially lower than the other plumber who stated a price, so I agreed. When their plumber got here he told me that that price was for going through a clean out, meaning the pipe in the wall that the sink was connected to. The cost for doing that and disconnecting the plastic sink trap, a U-shaped piece of plastic between the sink and the pipe, was $280 -- four times as much. It was true, as he pointed out, that the message specified "Through a clean out," but that was not a technical term a random customer could be expected to know, it was not pointed out to me either in the interaction on Yelp or when I talked with Elite on the phone, and nobody told me that I needed to disconnect the trap first. I had arranged things with no contact, since we have been very careful about quarantining -- he was in the kitchen downstairs, I was upstairs. He went out, I came down and disconnected the trap, he came back and cleaned out the drain, he left and I reconnected the trap. Disconnecting and reconnecting took me something under half an hour, and I expect would have taken a professional perhaps half that long, and he wanted to charge me more than two hundred dollars for it. I didn't give the firm zero stars because they did indeed do the job. But it was an obvious case of bait and switch, get my business by pretending that they would do the job at a low price and then find an excuse to tell me the price would be much higher, and I strongly disapprove of such behavior. If I ever need a plumber again, I will get someone else. read more

The pipes behind my washing machine was clogged, so dirty water would spill out every time I ran a load. Oscar from Elite Rooter came to diagnose the issue, explained the problem, proposed a fix. It turned out that the pipes were previously incorrectly installed flat rather than at a slope. Oscar came back the next business day and spent 5 hours in the cramped crawl space under the house to make the repairs. I hired Elite Rooter to repair and upgrade our aging draining system under the house because of significant leak of sewage water. The company was very responsive and the estimate was competitive, towards the higher end. It was a larger and more complex project than what we anticipated, because some part of the sewer line was encased in cement, and the existing mix and match of pipe material and age was a mess. The work happened on schedule and was completed with no surprise. The technicians were great and easy to work with. A few months after completion, we discovered an additional leak at the junction of the new drains and an older pipe. The leak could be observed only when the washing machine was draining. A technician was dispatched quickly to repair it at no additional charge. I recommend this company and would hire them again. read more

I don't really like to give any negative reviews. I have received the a kitchen drain unclog service in October 2022. I was told only hydro jetting could solve the issue which is very expensive. The service was not a good experience. The plumber came with a machine not working. He has not much experience. Have to wait for another people come. Spend almost full day to just unclog the drain and most of the time is waiting. The warranty is 9 month or 1 year ( I cannot remember clearly) since there is no paperwork for me at all. After half a year, the kitchen clogged slowly. Until today it is clogged completely. I called the office and the lady checked and said there is a warranty and so we made an apt. The plumber came and told us the warranty just expired. Then I called office immediately and was told there was no warranty at all! I accepted the pricy service because of the warranty. Since that was the case, draino in the shower / sink solved the problem and there was $0 charge. We've been in construction and Real Estate for 40 years and have met a lot of plumbers. Pablo from Elite Rooter was fantastic and by far one of the very best we've ever worked with. We had a difficult clog in an old sewer line with no "clean-out" available to access clogs. Pablo came in and did a great job! It was a challenge because the clog was under our new patio. But Pablo was able to install the new clean-out and repair the patio perfectly. (You can't tell the new clean-out wasn't installed as part of the original new patio construction). He got here on time, was super professional, articulate and polite. He was very careful to keep his work areas clean, eventually found the clog in our sewer line using his camera and high tech GPS then made the repair while installing the new, much needed clean-out. Pablo explained why the old line failed, how the clog originated and clearly communicated how the repairs would be made. Guy shows up and snakes the drain, tells me the snake isn't able to clear it. And there's an extra service hydro-something that'll probably fix it but it's expensive and he's not allowed to quote that we have to wait for the supervisor to come by and he'll be over in about an hour. So he backs the snake out and now on top of the drain being clogged there's a leak. I wouldn't blame him for the leak really, probably the joint was shot and anyone running a snake through could have broken it. But then like 5 min later the supervisor is on the phone telling me it's at least $2400 to fix the leak. We parted ways at that point. I then went to HD, rented a snake and guess what, a snake actually DOES clear the drain. But for that to work you'd have to think of the snake as a plumbing tool, rather than as a sales tool. I then fixed the leak by simply replacing the ABS TEE that had let go under the house for about $20 in parts and 2 hours of my time. That's with me making two trips to the corner hardware store, getting the wrong stuff the first time, etc... someone who does that every day and had parts on the truck could've done it in half that time. I'd have gladly paid someone two hours labor to do the job but $2400 no thank you. Anyway, all good now, drain is smooth and no leaks. Normally I hate to rent tools but renting that heavy duty snake from HD was a game changer for me. Get the half inch one. That's a proper tool that got my job done remarkably quickly. Makes the snakes I have accumulated over the years look like the toys they are. I'll just go rent one of those again if another drain ever stops up. I'd much rather find a local plumber I can work with, and I'm sure I will eventually but in the time I wasted goofing around with these guys I ended up doing it myself faster. read more

Our washing machine drain backed up and overflowed at the end of its cycle. This indicated a clog way down the line. Elite ran a camera through the line and showed me how badly the outside line had deteriorated. Very old cast iron. I had them pull a new line, house to city connection, and they did an excellent job. Then they showed me how bad the lines were under the house. I had them replace all the sewer lines under the house too. Big and expensive job! But when they showed me the removed pipes half filled with hard sediment it was obviously necessary. Took about four days. Very good work. The head tech. was Ruben Alvarez. He was a real winner! The drain outside my house was clogged. For $79, the plumber cleaned some roots through the cleanout, which is very reasonable. The plumber then stopped and said he would recommend a camera check-up to see the rest of the pipe. Another crew member, who was a manager, came and stuck a camera inside the drain. The manager said the pipe had a crack and needed to be repaired. He quoted me about $5000 to do the job with a city permit. I decided it was too much to handle the root issue. I will try some root killers first. So $79 is the bait to get a $5000 business. The crew and the managers are very courteous throughout the process, though. So I gave them a 4 star. read more

Looks like this company stuck my bad review at the bottom of the stack. This company came to put in a new water heater. The first one they gave us didn't work but they did finally put one in that works but this wasn't really the problem The new water heater was shorter than the old one, which left a gap between the pipe and and the ceiling. All they had to do was use a longer pipe but they didn't. Gas was leaking into our house and could have killed us. When I called them back I was angry and wanted to complete the job but they refused. So I spend money again to have a real plumber come by and just put a long metal pipe that would allow the gas to go to the attic where it is safe. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! read more
