The blueberry pancakes were good and so large they hung off the plate. Service was fast and correct. The bacon is thicker than a quarter and cooked thoroughly and not greasy so taste good with meaty flavor and appeared to be center cuts. I could not eat it all so pace yourself. Bad experience with the owner. As I was leaving the restroom the door swiftly closed behind me and struck me on the wrist right where my watch is, knocking it to the floor and breaking it into a few pieces. When I informed an employee they brought out the owner. I recounted what happened and he just stood there staring at me for about 20 seconds. When I prompted him for a response he said, "So?" and then walked away. What a jerk! Never coming here again. Too bad because the food was good (thus the 2 stars and not 1) and I would have definitely visited again. I still left the waiter a good tip because it wasn't his fault. read more

Elmers seemed busy when we pulled into the parking lot. I thought we would be waiting to be seated but we walked in and a nice lady greeted us and sat us at a booth. Every thing on the menu looked great. I ordered the German pancakes combo. It was amazing! The staff was all really happy and polite. It took the food 20 minutes to get to our table. Very friendly service. And unfortunately did not make up for the food. The fish and chips were not fully cooked the first time around, send it back, they sent the french fries back out as they were only going to re-cook the cod. So once it came out again of course, the fries were cold, and the cod was tough. So not the best meal. On a lighter note, the clam chowder was very good. Probably will not be going back. read more

This was a great find for is on our way to Montana. My wife had the German pancake,. First time..it was like a light pancake/open crepe with crispy edges. She cut out like a pizza and rolled it up and ate it..delicious. I had the avocado Benedict. It was cooked perfectly for me, firm yoke. From the outside, Elders looks very dated, typical greasy spoon place, but far from that. The staff was very friendly, especially Sue, who told us she's been there 20+ years. He had my truck towed before we got back. Her car was still there. The difference, her car has an Idaho license plate. My truck, a Utah plate. I believe he has a problem with Utahans. I ate an early dinner at Elmer's today using a gift card I got for Christmas. I am totally comfortable giving them a five-star rating. I'm not a foodie at all; I'm the kind of person people like to cook for who finishes what's on their plate. I enjoyed the food, which arrived promptly. Our server, Daisy, was so pleasant and attentive. I actually downloaded this app expressly to give her a shout-out. Absolutely amazing food and exceptional service. My mom had the cinnamon roll pancakes and enjoyed every bite. It was my first time having a German pancake and I was not let down! By far one of the best things I have ever ate. My son got the chicken strip basket. You could tell it was hand breaded and the fries were homemade. He ate everything on his plate. Terrible experience. First of all it took us 30 minutes to be seated. It wasn't even busy and the wait staff just stood and stared at us without saying anything. After finally being seated we weren't given menus or waited on for 20 minutes. Finally we got the chance to order so we decided instead of waiting longer we should just order our food with our drinks. Surprisingly the food came out quick.
